Final Fantasy X/X-2
How would Mycroft react if his S/O couldn't sleep without her stuffed animal ?
It’s not something that most adults do (or should be doing considering their age) so Mycroft would definitely make it a plan to get her off of the habit as sleeping with his wife and a stuffed toy isn’t ideal.
He’ll be diplomatic about it though. Mycroft will let the stuffed animal stay in the room somewhere where she can see it from the bed and offer to be its replacement instead.
Mycroft will probably do on and off days where he’ll let the toy in the bed until he makes it more appealing/natural to sleep without it and they’ll both have a happier night life because no one can get sexy with a ratty stuffed toy in close proximity.
If she is still fighting against being weaned off her toy Mycroft would suggest seeing a doctor about why she’ s so attached to the toy and how to overcome it.
Sleeping with a toy isn’t something that Mycroft wouldn’t be too comfortable with considering he has no idea where its been but can understand the sentiment behind keeping it.
If after having talks with therapists about keeping the doll out of the bed Mycroft might try for a different angle, mainly preserving the toy for the future.
Oh he’ll offer to restore it and have it ready for whenever you guys have kids but in order to do so it has to stay out of the bed.
It may work or may not it depends on what works with his wife but make no mistake Mycroft will break the habit.
I mean, he may have issues with his weight and smoking habit but he can sure as hell help break someone else’s. (It’s a gift.)
