Ya know the more I think about My silly Riku mouse Au. I genuinely think it be fascinatingly unique timeline where heâs raised in Disney town as their Prince.
However despite his Status and having a loving adoptive family, Riku still yearns to explore beyond the Kingdom. To have adventures and fight evil like his adoptive dad. But he canât, but dammit heâll prove himself to them that heâs ready to be bequeathed/Keyblade trained.
However his parents often take Riku to Destiny islands, a safe little world for him to interact with Humans. Itâs where he basically meets and hangs out with Sora (later on Kairi) forming a strong friendship between them (even being pen pals when Riku and his family leave) Tho Riku hides the fact that heâs royalty and where heâs come from (despite having no idea where he actually came from)
Fast forwards years later in a few days before Kh1, Rikuâs bequeathed ceremony goes off without a hitch. It was happy celebration, between him, his family and Kingdom. However while stargazing Riku notices that stars are disappearing from the night sky. He over hears a conversation between his Father and Yen Sid finding out that the Worlds are falling into darkness and they need to find the Keybladeâs Chosen
Riku barges in the conversation wanting to help, startling Mickey as he says that Riku canât go, safe for him to stay in the castle due to the cornerstone of Lightâs power keeping Heartless away. Besides he was just RECENTLY bequeathed and his Keyblade yet to appear.
Obviously this upsets Riku because his BEST FRIENDS ARE IN DANGER, HECK THEIR WORLD COULD Have FALL TO DARKNESS- so while Mickey left and later Donald and Goofy. Riku secretly packs his supplies and weapon (This version of him has received Magic and minor sword training) snagging his Dadâs Star Shard and going off on his own to not only help his Dad with the heartless, but also find the Keybladeâs Chosen or hoping to become one. Causing him to end up on Traverse Town, coincidentally (happily) reuniting with Sora.
Rikuâs RELIEVED that Sora survived but immediately followed with concern when he notices Kairiâs not with him. Yet wonders how Sora was even able to end up there, only for his blood freezing as Sora shows off the kingdom key. Explaining to him that it helped him escape the tragedy but also wants to find Kairi believing that sheâs out there for them to rescue
Even worse that Donald and Goofy are also in Traverse town, oh boy looks like a recipe for anâŚinteresting story-
