Unique magic: Tongue Tied: Allows him to talk through people like a puppet. He’s managed to train and be able to comic their voice as well.
Rin is your average anxious introvert. He’s pretty bad at talking to people so he lets his puppets do the talking for him. He’s like if Creep by Radiohead was a person. *Gets shot*
When he speaks regularly it sounds almost like a whisper, or he stutters so bad he’d rather shut up all together. Rin assumes everyone around automatically thinks very lowly of him which has him struggling to connect to others. He doesn’t think too highly of themself either and tends to openly put himself down a ton.
Make no mistake, Rin is also an asshole himself (He is an NRC student after all). In his head, he may look down on others and downplay their struggles and compare them to his own. Especially if they got it ‘good’

He threads the line of hating his own guts and hating everyone around them. They’re the type of person to hold grudges for a long while essentially.
Despite his pettiness at times, he can be quite perceptive. He over analyzes people a ton which could lead him being totally right about them or dead wrong. He also has the “Not my circus, not my monkeys” thing going on and doesn’t like to involve himself in unnecessary conflict.
Rin’s entire tune switches when it comes to herptiles. Frogs, toads, lizards, you name it all and it’s his passion. He’ll get wrapped up in a rant about them before quickly stopping themself
Like L***, His sense of humor is dumb as hell and he’ll laugh just from someone putting a top hat on a snake. He has a bit of childishness in him which may be rare for people to see

Rin’s name can translate too “Dignified” or “Cold” Kousei can mean “Empty/Vast” or “Sincerity”
Floyd’s nickname for him is Tadpole
Rook’s nickname for him is Monsieur Tortue
With, Kalim’s help, Rin managed to get the headmage to let him have his own club “The Herptile lovers”
Rin is ambidextrous. He learned this himself solely so he could use at least one of his puppets when his hands are occupied

Rin prefers the heat over the cold. When he’s cold he wraps himself in a bunch of blankets

Rin’s frog puppet is named Ribbit and his tortoise one is Shelly. Ribbit showcases Rin’s more blunt and sarcastic side while Shelly shows his more childish and sweet side
