Bowie’s thoughts on the firsties 👻

(A bit of context for new peeps: Bowie is a seven year old dead kid in ramshackle) Ace

The first person besides the prefect and Grim that Bowie actually got to talk to in a non spooky way

They call him “Rola Pola” or when he’s mocking Vee “Aceeeeey”

He’s Bowie’s favorite among the first year group

They met each other after book 2, though Bowie has witnessed Ace stay the night times before that

Bowie and Ace may work together to plan pranks especially when Deuce is concerned

The two kinda got an older and little brother thing going on which fits since Ace is used to being the younger Ace one and Bowie literally had no family memories or not

Bowie would give Ace a spook free pass for breaking any of his rules (EXCEPT THE NO KISSING RULE TAKE THAT SHIT OUTSIDE ACE OR BOWIE IS FILLING YOUR SHOES WITH SPIDERS)

Deuce

The second of the first years Bowie has met

He calls him DeeDee

Thinks he’s lamer than Ace but grew to like him

Would love to see more of his delinquent side cause Bowie thinks it’s way cooler than how he usually is

Once him and Vee started going out Bowie started to View Deuce more critically and Deuce kept looking for his approval

During book 6 as Vee went off to save Grim at Styx, Deuce (and Ace) visited ramshackle and tried to comfort a distressed Bowie. Deuce was the main one since Ace was mentally all over the place himself

^^ I think this sparked the moment where Bowie’s like “Yeah sure you can date the prefect or whatever (but if you smooch them in ramshackle I swear)”

Jack

Third of the firsties Bowie has met

They call her “Wolfy”

Met her sometime after book 2 as well when Vee invited her over for the first toon night at ramshackle

He tried to spook her and while she got caught off guard, she hardly found Bowie spooky

Bowie naturally has a fascination for beastmen especially big ones like Jack cause “They’re big and scary”

Since Jack has younger siblings, I feel like she’d know how to handle Bowie and in a way that doesn’t degrade him

Bowie probably asks her a lot of questions about being a wolf like how sharp her claws are and has she killed an animal with her own teeth ya know normal stuff

Epel

Fourth firstie here

He calls him “Eppy”

Met him in like book 5 for the VDC thing. Probably spooked Epel when he tried to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night or something

Bowie became a HUGE fan of Epel after book 6 since he kept Vee safe and helped bring Grim back (Vee hyped Epel up to Bowie)

In an au where I put Bowie in the first NMBC event, he’s like “EPEL YOU GOTTA KEEP VEE SAFE THAT GUY (Skully) CANT KEEP MAKING THE MOVES ON THEM!!!” since neither Ace or Deuce are there to do so

I think Epel would respect Bowie’s attempts at being seen as scary since he also hates the whole being called cute thing

Ortho

Fifth firstie

He calls her “Shroudy”

Ortho gets spooked by Bowie the least out of these guys which upsets them

Since she’s fresh to the team, Bowie’s still getting used to her

He’s also not fond of her technically being apart of the group that basically trashed his home

I feel like they’d team up like once or twice to give the other firsties the spooking of the life time though which of course Bowie would enjoy

(This would never happen but I feel like Bowie would get very mixed feelings if he were to ever hear about Ortho’a lore if you catch my drift)

Sebek

The last of the firsties years Bowie has met and his least favorite

He calls him Croco

Look Bowie was lowkey in his teenage angst era after book 7 for a whole lotta reasons

Bowie already hates Malleus so of course he ain’t gonna enjoy his number 1 glazer.

He’ll learn to be okay with Sebek later on especially when Vee tells him he helped keeping them safe through all the dream traveling and also helped carrying and moving stuff after they were temporarily put in a wheelchair and later crutches

I still think Sebek would be on ends with Bowie cause he ain’t here to take disrespect from a child especially when WAKA SAMA is also concerned

Any first year hang out Bowie would in fact target Sebek specifically with pranks

Gay Pajamas

Bowie had matching pajamas with Grim and he hated it so Vee found him new ones

Hot day

No air conditioning hot day Grim has to find SOME way to deal with the heat

So he ends up sticking on Bowie for awhile

Vee catches them and Bowie’s all like

“He kept CRYIIIING about how hot it was! And like the respondable big brother I am I helped him out!”

And now an argument between the two begins blah blah
