Speer was truly dead before we even knew it existed
I haven't seen people talk about this before, but The speerly wouldn't survive past Rin and Altan.
Rin liquefied her uterus before she even knew she was speerly. And yes, that was her choice. She had the right to do it. But it's also interesting.
( would she have made it in a kinder world? Where it wasn't a threat to her safety, where she could see a future for herself outside of the choices given?
Maybe yes. Probably yes. Rin isn't a particularly nurturing person, i don't see her as a mother figure. But still, would she have done it if she wasn't afraid?)
From that moment, no other speerly would ever be born. The speerly were dead before we even met them.
