“You have to remember, the time has almost come.” He grunted into your ear. You looked into his blood red eyes, sweat glistening down his face and neck as he thrusted into you, your bodies becoming one. You didn’t understand what he was talking about, but you nodded anyways, you could feel the dam inside you about to break, you were so close.
You jolted awake at the sound of your alarm blaring into your ear. You sighed. Another dream with the blonde, blood eyed man. You didn’t know his name, didn’t understand why he had been in your dreams for as long as you could remember, but you knew him. Your soul connected to him every time you met in your dreams, you never felt uncomfortable or in danger, always at peace and safe in his arms, you would assume that he was your soulmate, but you had been cursed with a black soulmark, meaning that you either didn’t have a soulmate or yours was dead.
In the world you lived in, people were born with soulmarks, usually they were red, and they could be a symbol identifying the soulmate or the soulmates’ name or initials. Yours was a black sword tattooed on your hip, and it has been there since the day you were born, nobody understood why it was a sword, all they knew was that black meant an unhappy ending for you, so for as long as you had known, people gave you pity for it, but you had grown accustomed to the fact that you didn’t have a soulmate in this world, and that was fine with you, until he appeared.
It started when you were sixteen. You fell asleep one night, and he appeared in your dreams. You remember the first time you saw him, vividly. He had blood on his chiseled chest, unruly blonde hair, and eyes the color of blood rubies. He was, for lack of a better word, the most beautiful man you had ever laid eyes on. He had knew your name, and he took you into his arms the moment that he laid eyes on you, whispering to you that he had missed you so much, that it had been so long, but you were still the most beautiful women he had ever laid eyes on, in that dream, he had just held you, and you had never felt safer.
After that, you got visits from him in your dreams most nights, while on others you had dreams of yourself living in different eras of time, which you chalked up to your wish of not being in this pity-filled existence.
You rolled out of bed, groaning as you felt the slick between your legs, feeling the tension still built up from the dream that you were snatched from. You sighed when you realized you had to be at the hospital in less than an hour, which gave you little time to shower and eat, much less to relieve yourself, so you sighed and got out of bed, heading to take a cold shower to start your day.
You arrived at the hospital with a few seconds to spare, nursing scrubs on ready to start the day in the emergency room.
“Hi Y/N!” Your co-worker said as you passed her, you shot her a small smile and wave, as the first trauma of the day came rolling in, starting your shift.
“You have to remember.” You heard his voice. You spun around, but there was no one there. You shook it off and started back towards the treatment area that your patient was in.
“It’s almost time.” You heard again, glancing back there was still no one there.
“Y/N?” you heard your patient say as you walked into the room. You looked up, wondering how she knew your name when you hadn’t introduced yourself yet. You looked at her, an eldery lady with gray curly hair.
“Do I know you Mrs. -” you glanced down at her chart, “Veda Blanchard,” but before you could voice her name, a pain struck through your head as images of you and a curly blonde-headed woman surged through your mind.
“You can’t be her, she died over 50 years ago, but you’re the spitting image of her.” She smiled softly.
You smiled softly masking the pain that had surged through your head.
“That is my name, maybe she was my great grandmother or something?” You said to her softly, she shook her head.
“She wasn’t married, and she had no kids, barely had friends, but she was my best friend, and I loved her.” She said, with a far off look in her eyes, remembering times from the past.
“It must be a coincidence that we have the same name then.” you said softly to her. She nodded, but you could tell that she was not quite convinced, and neither were you.
The conversation ended there as the doctor walked in to see what was wrong with her, giving you orders on what tests to run and medicine to give.
You walked into the lounge shared by doctors and nurses for your lunch break, head still pounding from earlier. You kept getting little flashbacks of yourself with a blonde girl that you had never met, in an era where you could not have existed, but they felt like memories, and you, somehow, knew that it was you in the flashbacks.
“Veda.” you whispered to yourself, pain surging through your head again at the mere mention of her name.
“Veda. I’m not interested in any of these men. Please stop trying to set me up.” You said, exasperatedly.
She giggled at you. “Y/N. You don’t have to be alone just because of your black mark, not having a soulmate just means you can be with whoever you want.” She said, pointing at her black mark as well.
“I have a soulmate.” You grit out, feeling a sudden surge of anger rush through you, but you weren’t sure why you were angry, or why you said that, the black mark on your hip indicating the opposite of what you said.
“That black sword says you don’t. I just want you to live and be happy, and you do not need a soulmate to do that. I met the love of my life, even though he is not my soulmate.” She said, pouting at your anger, letting your tantrum roll off her shoulders, as usual.
“I have plenty of fun with you. I am happy by myself, please drop it.” you said, walking down the street away from her and the dance place she was trying to get you into.
You blinked as one of the doctors snapped their fingers in front of your face.
“Nurse Y/N, are you okay?” they asked you. You shook your head.
“Yeah. I’m fine. I’ve just had a weird morning, and I guess I spaced out.” You told the doctor, smiling softly. You looked down at your lunch, suddenly you weren’t hungry anymore. You took it and threw it away.
You tried to focus on your work, give patients the best care that you could, but you were too unfocused, too distracted, so you found yourself back in veda’s room
“Nurse Y/N. I was wondering if I would see you again.” You heard her say softly, as you entered the room.
“Hi. Mrs. Blanchard. I… I’m curious about your friend. Do you mind talking about her?” You asked her softly, as you sat by her bedside, monitors softly beeping through the room.
“What do you want to know about her?” She asked through a cough. You grabbed the cup of water by her bedside, letting her take a small sip.
“Do I really look like her?” She nodded at your question.
“The spitting image of her. If I hadn’t seen her body in a casket, I would be convinced that you were her, and I would ask how you haven’t aged a day, but I saw her lowered into the ground, cried at her grave, she’s been gone so long.” She said softly to you. You opened your mouth to say something to her, but you fell short, you weren’t sure what to say. She waved her hand gently, silencing you.
“She died on August 28th, 1971. It’s the 50th anniversary today, and here I am dying myself, so maybe meeting you was fate, to give me comfort in my last hours on this earth. She died when she was 25, but I met her when we were both 13. She came to my school, and we bonded over the fact that we both had black soul marks.” As she talked, more memories came flashing through your head.
“Please Welcome Y/N to our class. She just moved here, so make her feel welcome.” The teacher said to the class, introducing you. Everyone smiled at you, easing your nerves, so you lifted your arm to wave, feeling your shirt rise over your hip, and gasps ran through the room. You knew what they had seen, happening countless times before.
Murmurs ran through the room, with glances shot at you as they whispered back and forth, except for a girl with blonde hair that focused her attention outside, a black mark on her neck visible for everyone to see.
The teacher cleared their throat.
“You can sit next to Veda. Veda, raise your hand please.” The blonde girl snapped her attention towards the teacher, finally giving her her attention, she looked you up and down as if she was assessing you, her eyes stopping on the black sword that was on your hip. She blinked, slowly raising her hand.
You walked to the seat beside her, putting your belongings on the floor next to you. Introducing yourself.
“Hi. I’m Y/N, and if it wasn’t obvious, I have a black soul mark.” You said with a soft laugh, trying to break the tension that the rest of the room had created for you.
“Veda. If it wasn’t obvious, I have one too.” She said with a smile.
“You said that she wasn’t married, and she didn’t have kids, right?” You piped up, interrupting her tale of the memory you had just witnessed.
“She didn’t. She had a black soulmark. It means that she either didn’t have a soulmate, or her soulmate had already died. She did talk about one man a lot, from the time we were 16 until she died. I never met him. She called him… uh.” She looked like she was deep in thought, suddenly her eyes brightened.
“Katsuki. She called him Katsuki.” Your world stopped. Katsuki. Katsuki.
“Katsuki.” You whispered, testing the name on your tongue.
“You have to remember.” You heard his voice say again, a little louder than last time.
“Katsuki.” You said, a little louder. She nodded.
“She called him Katsuki. She was convinced that he was her soulmate. She always wanted to believe that the black sword on her hip didn’t mean that she was without a soulmate, but she never brought him around me, despite being best friends. She said he had blonde hair, unruly blond hair, that he was the most beautiful man she had ever laid eyes on, and his eyes were as red as”
“Blood. His eyes were as red as blood.” You finished her sentence, she looked at you, surprise written on her face.
“Yes. Red as blood.” She nodded. “.. How did you know that?” She asked, her curiosity getting the best of her.
How could you explain that she was describing the same man that you had seen in your dreams for almost a decade? How could you explain that you also had a black sword soul mark on your hip, the same as her friend?
“A lucky guess?” You said, sheepishly. She gave you a look, not believing you. You sighed. You grabbed the bottom of your scrub top, pulling your pants down enough to expose your hip. She looked at what you were doing, a gasp ringing through the air.
“That’s not possible.” She muttered, repeatedly, over and over, gasping for breath. The monitors started beeping wildly, doctors rushing past you, ordering you out of the way. You were frozen, rooted in the place where you stood.
The sound of a flatline rang through the air, snapping you out of it, unrooting you from your spot. They compressed Veda's chest, but she was gone, you knew she wasn’t coming back, and you knew that you had to answer all the questions she had brought you, alone.
Your shift ended. Usually after work, you were exhausted, but your body felt like it was connected to a livewire, tingles running through your spine, the need for answers to the weirdest day you had ever had fueling you to keep going.
You needed to clear your head. It was late, and you had work tomorrow, so going to a bar was out of the question, hangovers were not good when working in an ER. You found yourself driving to the beach, hoping that the soothing sound of the waves crashing against the shore, and the smell of the fresh air mixing with the salt water would bring you some semblance of peace, help you figure out what exactly was going on with you.
You pulled into the beach, parking your car in the empty lot, seemingly you were the only person who was here on this beach on a monday night, probably because you were the only one who felt like you were going crazy.
You took off your shoes, letting the sand run between your toes, breathing in the unique smell of the ocean, feeling the breeze produced by the waves upon your skin. You looked up into the night sky, the stars shining so bright, the moon full. You picked a spot in the sand, and sat down on the shore, close enough that your feet would be brushed by the waves, but far enough away that you wouldn’t get completely soaked. Your eyes were drawn to a cluster of stars, in particular, and you laid back and looked up at the sky, clearing your head.
The clear bright stars forming a W. You were never into constellations, had never been a stargazer, but you, somehow, knew that constellation.
“Cassiopea.” You muttered to yourself, and the piercing pain you had grown accustomed to from the day shot through your head again.
You laid next to Katsuki under the stars, cuddled into his side, where you felt the most safe, knowing that no-one or nothing could touch you when you were with your lover, not that they would try, the black sword on your hip was testament enough that you belonged to him, only him.
“Y/N.” He murmured, dragging your attention back to him. You hummed in acknowledgement, content.
“Do you see that form with those five bright stars? It’s supposed to resemble that queen, that great uncle poseidon punished for saying that her and her daughter were more beautiful than the nereids, in her torture chair. Cassiopeia. That was her name.” You furrowed your eyebrows, wondering what he was telling you about a constellation of stars for.
“Poseidon punished her for thinking she was more beautiful than the nereids?” He grunted, before looking at you, a look of tenderness in his eyes.
“None of them have ever laid eyes on you though, or they would know they all paled in comparison to your beauty.” He gently caressed your face with the back of his hand, pulling you impossibly closer, his lips brushing against yours before taking you into a kiss, an all consuming kiss, full of passion and love, the feelings you shared for each other could be felt by each other in that kiss.
“I love you, katsuki. I am so lucky to be able to spend an eternity with you.” you murmured, as you pulled away briefly from the kiss, before going in for another.
You gasped as the memory faded, reality coming back to you. You came to the beach to clear your head, but now you were more confused than ever. That was you. It had to be you, both times. Veda’s Y/N and the Y/N just now with katsuki. How else could you having these memories be explained, but why were you still so young, why couldn’t you remember everything, instead of just these fragmented pieces of your past?
You stood up from the sand, stumbling a bit, and walked back towards your car. You needed to know what was going on, and the best chance you had was research. You had never looked into the meaning of your soulmark, the understanding of what people had told you that it meant was too painful to fully grasp, so you had strayed from research not wanting to make it so concrete, but now you knew that what everyone had told you was wrong, it had to be, right?
You drove home as fast as you could, the need to get answers eating you up inside. You walked in stripping off your clothes as you went, throwing them wherever they landed, you would pick them up later. You took a quick shower, not dallying in there, just a wash and rinse, your computer calling to you from where it laid on your bed.
You wrapped a towel around your body, walking into your closet, grabbing a pair of your comfy, silk pajamas, slipping them on before flopping onto your bed, grabbing your laptop.
You opened it, powering it on, typing in your password when prompted. Opening up your search engine, you pondered on what you should research first, deciding on black soul marks, you typed it in, skimming through the results, you clicked on one that caught your attention.
Everyone is born with a soul mark, usually they are red. There are, however, individuals that are born with a black mark. People have been told that black marks mean that the soulmate is either dead or doesn’t exist, but if you go back far enough, there is another explanation. Black marks mean that you are bound to an immortal being, such as a god or goddess.
“I am so lucky to be able to spend an eternity with you.” You muttered to yourself, remembering what you had said in the memory of stargazing with Katsuki.
Katsuki was an immortal, so if you were bound to him, why weren’t you together?
You typed in reincarnation next, scrolling through articles, until you came upon something that caught your attention.
“Reincarnation and the concept of past lives has existed for thousands of years, spanning back to the ancient Celtic, Greek, Asian and Indian traditions. It is the rebirth of a soul in a new body, hoping for the soul to attain perfection, giving the soul earthly lessons and experiences.”
There wasn’t much information on reincarnation, many people being skeptical of it. You sighed. Katsuki was a japanese name, but Poseidon was a greek god, and if poseidon was his “great uncle” that would mean that he was also greek, then what god was he?
You typed in the name katsuki along with greek mythology, not expecting to get many results. You looked through the results, skimming to see if anything would help, and then you saw something that made that piercing pain shoot through your head.
“People down there are calling you the strongest, stronger than any of your brothers and sisters, maybe even stronger than your father.” You whispered, curled into his side. You felt a rumble through his chest as he chuckled.
“I will always win.” He said simply, making you roll your eyes.
“In another culture, you would be called “katsuki.” it means “win” and “victorious.” You stated, something you had learned recently, you had always been interested in learning more than just your own greek culture.
“I like that name. Katsuki.” His rough voice rumbled, sleep edging its way into his voice. You looked at him, with his droopy eyes, and leaned up, kissing him softly.
“You may be Dunamis to everyone else, but you’ll always be my katsuki.” you whispered against his lips, feeling him smile against yours, before letting sleep take both of you.
Dunamis.
You typed in Dunamis. It was the Greek word for “dynamite,” meaning strength, power or ability. In Greek Mythology, he was the only demigod son of Ares, coming from a human mother, the only lover he had taken besides aphrodite.
Dunamis. Katsuki. A Greek Demigod.
You had a soulmate. Your black mark meant something totally different than you had been told your entire existence, but if you had been with him before, why were you two separated now? Why had you been separated for so long?
You laid back in your bed, feeling like you were so close to remembering something, but still so far away.
Your eyes were getting heavy, the adrenaline of the bizarre experience you had had catching up to you. Suddenly, you were just so tired, so you let the familiarity of the arms of sleep take you in, and then you dreamt.
“He had the courage to touch what was MINE. MY Soulmate. MY Y/N. He can have the courage to face the fate that he has brought upon himself.” You heard Katsuki’s voice, filled with rage. You were laying there, crying, so upset. All you could feel were his hands groping you every chance he was around you, knowing that you were Katsuki’s. He didn’t care. This time he had gone too far, touching you too much after he had been warned time and time again. Katsuki was out for blood this time. He was the strongest son of Ares.
“Dunamis. Please. You cannot fight other gods, just because they have touched your possessions.” One of his servants said, trying to calm him down. They didn’t understand his rage, when it concerned you. You and him were eternal. Two sides of the same coin. Twin Flames. Soulmates. You two completed each other in so many different ways. You were more than a possession to him.
“Do. NOT. SPEAK. Of Y/N as if she is just some OBJECT that I own. She is my SOULMATE, and I will defend her honor. Set up the meeting, or I will cut your head off too.” He snarled.
“Quiet Boy.” A voice you were familiar with spoke up, a door sounding through the house, slamming shut.
“Father.” Katsuki sneered. Him and Ares had never seen eye to eye.
“You will stop this nonsense. You are not going to cut the head of your own brother off over a girl. Phobos will be taken care of, so let it go.” His voice thundered.
“NO. I will handle him. He has been warned too many times. He won’t leave her alone, so he dies. I don’t care if he and your other kids mean more because they belong to aphrodite. I was a mistake, I know, but I AM THE STRONGEST, and I will cut down anyone that hurts the woman I love….. Even if you stand in my way.” Ares snarled, it echoed through the building, and you heard footsteps coming towards the room you were in. You sat up in the bed as footsteps entered the room. Ares stood before you.
“You have caused problems for my family, girl.” He was intimidating, even if this wasn’t the first time you had seen him, you never got used to how power exuded from him, even if katsuki was stronger, he didn’t have the power of a full blooded god, the command. Could he beat Ares? Yes.
“I haven’t done anything, sir. Phobos had no consent to touch me. He had no right.” You stated, hoping that he couldn’t feel your intimidation.
“I’m aware, but he is my son. He is not to be touched, by anyone, much less a brother. I will bring him here, and he will apologize, and we will let this go. Yes?” He asked, but you could tell it wasn’t really a question, that you had no choice but to comply. You nodded, and he turned, walking away.
“Call Phobos. Here. Now.” You heard him say to someone. You just sat there, you weren’t sure how long.
“Y/N.” You heard Phobos’s voice come from the doorway, after a while.
You snapped your head up, eyes meeting his, fear rushing through you. The panic that he brought upon people, quickly settling into your bones.
“You’ve caused such a mess. My Foolish brother doesn’t deserve you. I have to come here, to apologize to you, for taking what I want? For living like the god that I am?” He came towards you, sitting on the edge of your bed, but you couldn’t move, frozen in terror like soldiers before who had faced him and Deimos in battle.
“No. I am not apologizing. I will do as I please.” You saw blonde hair appear in the doorway from your peripheral vision, the panic leaving your body as you saw the blood red eyes of the man you love, narrowed in rage, and suddenly Phobos was against the wall, gasping for air, life leaving his eyes with Katsuki’s hand around his throat, and then he was gone, just like that.
“NO.” You heard Ares scream, as he walked into the room. He looked at Katsuki, Dunamis, and then his sights turned on you.
“Dunamis….. You will be separated from this girl for a very long time, for your punishment. She will be reincarnated over and over, not remembering you for 10 millenia or longer, to be able to return to you. She will have to remember everything. EVERYTHING. Do you understand?” Ares said in a soft, rage filled voice.
“You can’t take her away from me.” Katsuki snarled at him, stalking towards his father, his sword pulled from the scabbard with quick action.
“Watch me.” He stated, and suddenly you felt something hit you in your neck, and you couldn’t breathe. You moved your eyes down, seeing a small dagger sticking from your neck, feeling your own blood choking you. You tried to say Katsuki’s name, but gargles were the only thing that flowed out. He ran towards you as Ares turned and walked away from the scene, leaving you to die in Katsuki’s arms.
“I will wait an eternity for you, Y/N. Come back to me. You have to come back to me, you felt something wet hit your cheek as he took you into his arms, cradling you in them, and for the first time that you can remember, Katsuki was crying, and everything faded away.
You sat up, in bed, covered in sweat, gasping for breath, grabbing at your neck as if the knife from the dream would still be there, the blood still choking you, but you were in your bed, safe, sound, and the alarm for work suddenly came to your attention.
You moved on autopilot. Going through the motions as the dream of you dying played over and over again. You decided that instead of driving so distracted, you were going to walk to work. You started the route that you took when you decided to do this, and let your mind wander.
You still couldn’t wrap your head around the fact that your soulmate was a god, a demigod. Dunamis. Dynamite. Katsuki.
Suddenly, you heard a blaring horn snapping you away from the thoughts of him, and before you had good focus, you felt an impact, the car that blared its horn not being able to stop in time to miss you, and your body flew. You felt everything, but also nothing, and the familiarity of blood coming up your throat like it had in your dream, made something click. Suddenly, it all made sense. Suddenly you remembered.
“Dunamis. Katsuki.” You whispered through the gargling of the blood in your throat, and death took you again, just like your dream.
You felt your eyes open, slowly, blinking a couple of times, but you felt no pain, instead you felt silk against your skin, light shining through the canopy across the bed that you were laid in. You looked around, not lifting your head up much, and you were definitely not in a hospital, even though you knew you had just been hit by a car. You realized where you were when you saw the vanity in the corner of the room, with the belongings you remembered owning so long ago. You had made it back to the realm of the gods, back to katsuki.
You sat up in the bed, the blanket slipping from your chest, a breeze smoothing across your skin, making you aware of the absence of clothing on your body.
You looked around the room, realizing it was the room that you and he had shared then. You heard a gasp from the entryway and snapped your head towards the noise. Golden eyes pierced into yours with beautiful pink hair shining where the light hit it. You smiled softly.
“Hello Mina.” You whispered to Harmonia, AKA Mina, Goddess of Harmony, Child of Ares and Aphrodite. Katsuki’s half sister.
“It’s you. You really woke up this time.” She said, her voice loud enough for just you to hear.
“This time?” You said, confused.
“Your body has been here so long, just lying there ever since Dunamis was punished. It was in stasis, while your soul was reincarnated over and over again. You always died very young in your reincarnations, so Dunamis, Me, and the others would always come to see if you woke up around the time that your reincarnation ended. I’m the only one who checks now… It hurts him too much to come here, having you so close, but so far away.” She explained, sitting on the edge of the bed that you were, having moved closer as she explained herself.
“Where is he now?” You asked, quietly.
“Somewhere in the palace. Doing his “godly” duties, as he calls them.” She snorted with a tender smile on her face.
“He killed father.” She said abruptly, smiling sadly. “It wasn’t right after the incident happened, but as time went on and you just laid here, his anger grew, until he snapped. He demanded that Ares bring you back, but father felt that his punishment was fitting for having killed Phobos, so when he denied Dunamis his request, he demanded that Ares fight him. Dunamis won. Ares fell in the battle, now Dunamis is the god of war, himself.”
You nodded. His temper had always gotten the best of him when it concerned you, he was protective, possessive.
“I want to see him, please. I need to.” You told her. She nodded, light shining back into her eyes.
“We must get you dressed right away then!” She grabbed the blanket, shucking it off of you, and dragging you out of the bed.
She helped you get dressed into a gown and did your hair in a simple way before dragging you out of the room, guiding you through the hallways, memories flowing into your mind like water in a lake, slowly but surely.
She came to a door, and your heart stopped when you heard his voice, yelling at someone. She nudged you with a smile, trying to ease your nerves.
“You will DO AS I SAY if you want shit done right around here. You cretins still think that my win against the old bastard was a fluke, well, we can get in the ring, and I will show you… IT WAS NOT.” You heard him say, you had to stifle the giggle that wanted to come out of your mouth so bad. She opened the door, and you entered. She had decided that it was best she let you two reunite alone.
He didn’t notice you for a moment, his attention elsewhere, scowling at the advisors he had been yelling at. One of them noticed you first, dropping whatever he had been holding, shattering against the floor, his eyes widened.
“What the fuck is wrong with you? What -” His tirade cut off once his eyes landed on you, having turned to see what the other man had been looking at.
His mouth was agape. You saw tears prickle at the corner of his eyes.
“Everyone OUT.” He said as loudly as he could muster his voice to go. You heard their footsteps shuffle out, the door closing behind them. His eyes never left yours and yours never left his.
“Y/N.” He whispered your name so softly, as if he couldn’t believe it was you, here, with him, once again.
The utterance of your name made your body move, and before you knew it, you were running into his arms. You collided into his chest, his arms coming to wrap around you, your legs hooking around his waist, face burying in the crook of his neck.
You felt tears start to come out of your eyes. Every reincarnation, you had believed something was missing inside of you. You had never known real peace, never been truly fulfilled. You had thought it was because you didn’t have a soulmate, but you knew now that it was because you were separated from him. Here, in his arms, you felt complete, and it was catharsis that you both needed because you were both crying into each other, trying to get as close to one another as you could.
You brought your head from his neck and looked at him. He held you with one arm, using the other to wipe away your tears.
“I missed you so much.” You whispered to him. He leaned in to you.
“I missed you too, baby.” He said as your lips met for the first time in ages and it was like filling your body with lava, making your insides hot. Your lips molded together perfectly, and you never wanted to kiss to end, but it did much sooner than you wanted, damn oxygen.
You peppered kisses all over his face as you two pulled away from the kiss, you gripped his face in your hands, just wanting to feel him, threading your fingers through his spiky blonde hair that was soft to the touch.
“I dreamt of you.” You whispered into the room. He smirked.
“I know. I came to you in your dreams, as soon as I figured out how to do it. It was the only time we could be together, even though you didn’t really know who I was.” He whispered back.
“You killed your father.” You stated. He gave you a grin with a sharp tooth sticking out.
“He was never a father to me, and I would do it again if I had to.” You smiled softly.
He sat down in a chair, bringing you into his lap, laying your head on his shoulder, your legs across his lap.
“I feel so complete now that we’re back together.” You said. He hummed in acknowledgement, feeling the same himself.
“Let’s get married.” He said after a few moments of silence.
You giggled thinking he was joking.
“I just got back to you, and you want to get married, already?” You asked him teasingly, but you soon realized that he was not joking. His eyes were so serious.
“I never want to be separated from you, again. I want us to be united, in all ways. I want to have kids with you, and spend the rest of this eternity with you by my side, nobody will EVER take you away from me again.” He said fiercely. You just looked at him for a moment before nodding.
“I’ll marry you. It’s always been you, Katsuki. My God Of War. Dunamis.” You said, leaning in to seal your words with a kiss. The kiss turned into something more, very quickly. Your tongue intertwined with his, as he moved so that your cunt was pressed against his growing erection. You moaned at the contact.
He pulled away as he started peppering kisses down your neck, finding your sweet spot instantly, biting down and sucking to leave a mark on you, to show the world you were his, you always had been.
You groaned at the feeling of his teeth digging into your skin so gently and you grinded against his lap, capturing a groan that vibrated the skin against your neck. He pulled at the straps of your gown, ripping the top of it off with ease, barely jerking it. He grabbed at your breasts, each fitting snugly into one of his hands, palming them before kissing down your chest before taking one of them into his mouth, rolling the nipple of the other one between his fingers. You cried out into the room, hoping that no one was near this room in the palace.
He took the nipple between his teeth gently pulling it before switching to the other breast, giving it the same attention. You had missed his attentiveness. You rocked yourself against his erection, your wetness seeping through, your pussy needing friction.
He lifted you into his arms before standing up, your breast leaving his mouth with an audible pop.
“I’m taking you to bed.” He said, his voice having a lustful edge to it, you could tell that he was barely hanging on to his control keeping him from fucking you into that chair. He walked quickly to a room with his belongings strewn everywhere. It must have been where he had slept, while your body was in your original shared quarters. He pressed you against the wall, kissing you harshly as the door to the room closed behind you two. You kissed him back with just as much fervor, as hungry for him as he was for you. He threw you onto the bed, and you bounced softly before he was on top of you, looming over you.
He ripped the rest of the dress off your body, leaving you bare to him. He kissed down your stomach, nipping gently at the skin as he went, skin heating at every place his lips touched. You felt his breath against your wetness, and before you had time to utter a word, a long moan came out of you as he ate you like a man starved. He groaned into your pussy as you wiggled, his hands moving to hold your thighs down as he ate. His mouth found your clit, swiping his tongue repeatedly against it, sucking it into his mouth, making sinful noises come from your lips.
You felt him lick down your slit before pushing his tongue inside of you, a broken cry leaving your mouth as he fucked you with his tongue. You felt the dam inside of you about to burst, and he did too because he got more eager, and you screamed as you came for him. He made sure not to miss a drop.
You grabbed his head from between your legs, bringing his face to yours before kissing him, the taste of yourself coming onto your tongue.
“Want you so bad, katsuki.” you whispered against him, grinding up to the erection that was prominent in the pants that he still had on. You pulled at the pants, indicating that you wanted them off.
“You’ll get what you want, princess, but you’re not ready yet.” He smirked, making you huff.
“I am -” You were cut off as you felt him plunge a finger inside of you. You groaned loudly as he pushed his finger in and out of you.
“That feel good?” He whispered into your ear, peppering kisses there.
“So good baby. So good. More Please.” You begged him, wanting as much of him as he would give you. He huffed in amusement, adding another finger, stretching you to prepare you for his cock.
You felt his fingers leave you as you were about to cum for the second time, dragging a whine from you. He shushed you before getting off of the bed, removing his pants before climbing back on top of you.
You felt the head of his cock rub against you.
“You ready, princess?” He smirked at you, words failed you so all you could do was moan for him, wantonly.
He slowly pushed inside of you, the stretch burning in the most delicious way. He filled you up in the best way. He pushed all the way in before pulling out completely, snapping back in just as soon as he left.
You screamed silently, dragging your nails down his back as he brought you to the edge again. Your entire body felt like it was on fire, and you were ready to burn.
“KATSUKI.” You screamed out into the air, the only word you could get out.
“I know baby, it’s been so long.” He grunted out, his snapping of his hips gaining a rougher edge, making your nails scratch deeper down his back. You felt tears prickle at the edge of your eyes before sliding down your cheeks.
“I’m close, so close.” You muttered out. He grunted.
“Me too.” He said into your ear. “Don’t cum until I say so.” you felt his tongue swipe at your earlobe, gently scraping his teeth against it.
You felt yourself tighten at the command, making him groan.
“Cum inside me. Please. Want you to cum inside me.” You cried out, begging for him to fill you up, to complete you.
“Yeah? You want me to fill you up with my cum? First night back and you want me to breed you, my dirty princess.” He said into your ear, and you cried out.
“Yeah. Want it so bad.” You got out between moans. You were trying so hard not to cum before he was ready, but you could barely hold on.
He thrust in roughly. “Cum.” He commanded as his thrusts became sloppy and hurried. You screamed as you released the orgasm that you had been holding in, and you felt his cum spray your insides, filling you up. He kissed you as he came to prop himself up with his arms, not pulling out of you. He flipped you two so that he was on his back, and you were on top of him, still not leaving the warmth of your bred pussy.
“I don’t want a drop to go to waste.” He stated, as explanation at the switch in the positions. You giggled at his animalistic grin, like a dog proud that he had marked his territory.
You laid down flat against him as you came down from the high you two had created, together. You felt his cock soften inside you, still not slipping out due to your position.
You sighed. You felt so at peace.
“Tomorrow.” He said.
You looked at him quizzically, not sure what he meant.
“Tomorrow. We’ll get married tomorrow.” He stated.
You smiled softly, pecking his lips, cuddling closer to him.
“Tomorrow.” You agreed.
You looked down where your bodies were joined before noticing the black sword mark that was on your skin, softly running a finger over it with a wistful smile.
“Tomorrow.” you repeated before sleep came to take you, his even breaths as sleep took him as well the last thing you heard as your eyes closed, wrapped in his arms, back where you belong.

You had always been the type of person that wanted to be adventurous, yet you never got around to it. You wanted to be social, yet you stayed home to study instead of going out with your friends, so you could get into your dream college. You got into your dream college, and that’s where you met the guy that you thought you were going to settle down with, despite it being your first relationship. Instead, you were left with a broken heart and time wasted after finding him in bed with another girl.
A broken heart changes your perspective on a lot of things, including yourself, and you realize that you had wasted so much of your life in books, that you hadn’t really been living, instead you were just going through the motions. Was your dream college really your dream college, or did you want to go there because your parents did? Did you not drink because you didn’t think you’d like it, or you wanted to keep an image that wasn’t really you?
This change in your perspective brought you to where you were now. In a bar. You had finally taken up one of your friends countless offers of a night out. You were single now, had been for weeks, and you were over it. You didn’t want to waste anymore of your life on things that shouldn’t be worried about. You had decided you were gonna live your life and whatever happens, happens.
“What made you decide to come out tonight?” Mina asked you. Mina Ashido was a girl you had met in a lab two years ago, your freshman year of college, and despite how different you two looked, you had so much in common. She had pink hair while you had brown. She had tan skin with beautiful tattoos all down her arms, and you were pale with no tattoos at all. Despite these differences, you had become fast friends, you would dare even say she was your best friend.
“I’m trying to live life, instead of just letting it pass me by.” You said as you took a swig from the mixed drink you were sipping on, still a little new to alcohol. She smiled.
“Why does it take shit like heartbreak to make us into the people we always wanted to be?” you gave her a look, not being able to imagine someone breaking her heart, who would want to?
She smirked at you. “My dad broke my heart a long time before a guy ever could.” she said simply with a shrug, as if she knew what you were thinking. Mina was like that, somehow she always knew what you were thinking.
As the night went on, you couldn’t stop staring at her tattoos. They were so beautifully done, intricate, as if someone like Picasso had picked up a tattoo gun and tried their hand at tattooing. She had some portrait work, some realistic, some with lots of line work, but all of them were beautiful.
“y/n.” she said, snapping your attention away from the tattoos. A blush forming on your cheeks from being caught staring at them.
“You like tattoos?” She said with a smile on her face. Did you like tattoos? You had never thought about them, not really. It didn’t fit into the person you had try to be in the past, but now that you were just doing whatever you wanted, that made you happy… a tattoo was really appealing, even though you weren’t sure about your pain tolerance.
You nodded.
“I might get one, now that I’m not letting life just pass me by.”
“Let’s get one tonight.” Your eyes widened at her remark.
“Mina. It’s like almost midnight. I doubt there’s a tattoo shop open anywhere, and if they are, I don’t know if I would trust someone who stayed open till midnight, tattooing people.” You said giving her a side-eye as you took a larger swig from your drink.
Her smile widened and then she laughed.
“You’re right. He closes at 6, and he’s usually in bed at 8:30. I swear he’s a grandpa even though he’s only 25, but he never turns down a tattoo virgin, and he does owe me a favor, so I could get him to do one tonight… So are you in or not?” You thought about it. Tattoos were permanent, a commitment, which should scare you since your last commitment had ended in heartbreak, but tattoos couldn’t break your heart, right?
Before you could talk yourself out of it, even though you had no idea what you would even get, maybe just something random, maybe there was one of those machines that you had heard of, where you put money in and a tattoo idea came out, you nodded.
She smiled, showing her teeth with how wide it was, and pulled out her phone. You watched her type away for a couple of minutes, rolling her eyes as some of the messages came through, but smiling nonetheless, it made you curious as to who this tattoo artist was. Mina obviously knew them, knew them well to be okay messaging them so close to midnight, to get a tattoo.
She slipped her phone into her pocket and stretched her arms before looking at me with a face. From her expression you couldn’t tell what the outcome of the conversation was, at least until she broke out into a big smile.
“He said to give him 30 minutes to get there, so we can finish our drinks then catch a cab or uber there, it’s only 10 minutes or so away, i believe.” She said, taking a swallow from her glass.
You nodded looking at your drink that was almost empty. You downed the rest in one go, for some liquid courage, for some reason you felt you might need it. You stood up as Mina stood up with you. She took her phone out of her pocket, her eyes widening as she read a text that she had received. She took her lip into her mouth, as if she was debating on what to do.
“You okay?” You asked her, concerned something might be wrong.
She giggled. “I’m fine, Kirishima just texted me wanting me to come home because he needs me.”
You paused for a second. While it would be nice to have someone for moral support for your first tattoo, you knew that both Mina and Kirishima were always busy with school and jobs, so they didn’t get a lot of alone time. You smiled, just because you were single and angry at the world, didn’t mean that she was, so you sighed. You had made it outside the door before you had realized, so you looked at her.
“Give me the tattoo shop address and go see your man.” You said to her with a small smile, and she squealed.
“Thank you, I owe you one!” She said as she wrote a text with the address to the shop, and hailed a cab to drive her home as you waited for the uber that she had apparently ordered before you guys walked out.
A blue sedan rolled up to the curb you were on a few minutes later.
“Mina?” You smiled sliding into the backseat.
“Mina is my bestfriend, she had to go, but she said I could take the uber to where I needed to go.” You explained to him as you gave him the address that Mina had given you.
You listened to the music as the driver took you to your location, wondering what you were going to get tattooed on your body. Now that you were thinking about it, you had tons of ideas going through your head about what you might want on your body for the rest of your life.
“Ma’am, we’re here.” the driver said, snapping you out of your thoughts, having not noticed that the car had stopped.
You smiled at the driver, and you got out of the car, wishing them a goodnight.
You looked towards the shop, but stopped as you spotted a figure by the door, a cigarette in hand, arms crossed as if they were waiting, but that’s not why you stopped. It was because this might have been the most beautiful man you had ever laid eyes on. He was wearing a tank top, so you could see the skin was covered in tattoos, not a patch was bare along his arms, and it made your mouth water, because the muscles were also very visible, and he was fit, really fit. He had blonde hair that fit him so well, sticking up in places everywhere, you just wanted to run your hands through it, even if you didn’t know who this man was.
His voice stopped you from checking him out as he said your name.
“Are you Y/N?” He said as he took a drag from the cigarette in his hands, looking you up and down, with a smirk on his face. You didn’t trust using words at that moment, so you just nodded. He threw the cigarette on the ground, snuffing it out with the bottom of his shoes, holding out his hand.
“I’m Katsuki. Katsuki Bakugou. Mina told me you were coming, but she didn’t say how pretty you were. I’ll be tattooing you.” He stated, as he shook your hand, sending sparks all down your spine, body alight at just a single handshake. At that moment, you weren’t sure exactly what tattooing with him would consist of, but you were ready to be inked.
He opened the door to the shop, holding it so that you could enter first, and you quietly thanked him for the chivalrous act.
“First tattoo on a friday night at almost midnight, why do you want it?” He said, his back facing you as he led you to the back of the shop, into a tattoo room. He waved towards the table that you assumed you’d be getting tattooed on, and you sat there as he went around the room flipping stuff on, getting ready for the work ahead.
“Why?” You asked him, not expecting him to ask you that, you had assumed he’d just ask you what you wanted and do it, never thinking that he would care why you wanted to get one, at the age of 25, people usually getting one, if they wanted, as soon as they were legal to do so.
He hummed in agreement, before turning to look at you, stopping his messing with the contraption that you assumed was the gun, not having ever seen one before.
“People have different reasons, some better than others. I’ve heard lots of different answers, some girls just want it because they want something cute on their skin, some men get them to prove that they can handle it, but there have also been deeper reasons, and i like to know why I’m tattooing someone. Mina’s tattoos all mean something to her, will yours mean something to you?” He explained.
“I want it to mean something, I’m just not sure what… I want it to mean.” You said, hesitantly, wanting to be able to give him a better answer than that.
He opened his mouth to say something else, but words just started pouring out of your mouth.
“I’ve always been the girl who does things because she wanted to seem perfect, wanted to uphold an image for her family, but I’m tired of being that girl. I want to do things that I want to do, not because I think it’ll make anyone else happy. I want to be me, unapologetically. I dated a guy for 2 years, up until 3 or 4 months ago, and he was great, at least to my family because they loved him, and I thought I did too.” You took a deep breath, before rubbing your neck sheepishly, but Bakugou just gestured for you to finish, as if this was just another day of work for him, and you were starting to think it was. He just gave off the energy that you could talk to him, and he’d be brutally honest about everything, telling you exactly what you needed to hear, not what you wanted.
“I thought I loved him too, until I came home, to an apartment that we shared, with him balls deep inside another woman, in the bed that we had shared for a year, and it hurt, y’know? It hurt, and it broke my heart, but then I just felt so free when the pain left. I’m starting to think that I didn’t love him, per se, but that I loved the idea of him, someone that my parents would approve of, that would give me the stable life that everyone else wanted for me, but I’ve just come to realize that… I don’t want that. I want to fall hopelessly in love with someone because I love them, not be with them because I think it’s what’s right. I want to travel and help others. I want to live.” You exhaled, not expecting to let all of that out to someone you had just met, but for some reason, you felt like you could trust him. You looked at him, and he had a small smile on his face.
He came towards you, put his face in yours and smirked.
“I know just what to tattoo on you.” He stated.
“O-oh yeah?” You stuttered out, his closeness making your body flush and your nerves flare up.
He nodded.
“Do you trust me?” He asked you as he leaned away and stood back up straight, having to lean down a little to be eye level with you as you were sitting.
You had just met him. Could you trust someone that you had just met? Probably not, but nevertheless you trusted him enough to spill your emotional trauma out to him, so surely you could trust him with putting something on your body, his work was beautiful, mina’s skin was a testament to that, so you nodded, giving him a small, nervous smile.
“I trust you.” You stated.
“Any idea where you want the tattoo to be?” He asked you. You thought about it for a moment.
“I think I'd like it on the back of my thigh.” you told him. He smirked at that answer.
“Okay, princess. Take your pants off.” He said, nonchalantly. You felt your face flush, and you were sure you would look like a tomato if you looked in the mirror right now. You gave yourself a push, calming your nerves, and stripped your pants off before you could think more about it. You laid on the tattoo table, face down ass up, and you heard him doing something in the background. Music flooded the room and you heard him sit down in the chair beside the table. His hand touched the curve of your ass as he prepped the area for the tattoo. He laid the stencil down, asking you if you wanted to see the placement, but you shook your head. He asked you if you trusted him, so you were gonna trust him fully, not wanting to see what he was doing until it was done.
The tattoo gun vibrated against your skin as he drew on your skin with ink, you had thought it would hurt more, but it didn’t.
“So how do you know mina?” you asked him, breaking the silence between the two of you.
“We went to Yuuei together, and we were in the same class for 3 years. Kirishima is my best friend, so she was a part of our friend group, and we’ve just stayed close.” He said, plainly. You were aware of every move he made against your skin, his hand on your leg felt as if it was burning your skin.
“I met her in a lab, and despite all the differences between us, we connected, and now she’s my best friend, the best one I’ve ever had probably.” You told him when he asked you the same question back.
“How’d you get into tattooing?” You asked, trying to get your attention off his hand and its movements on your ass and thigh, telling yourself that this was his job, it didn’t mean anything, even if you wanted it to.
“I was an angry kid, so I drew out my feelings, and I was good, but one day I saw All Might’s tattoo work, and I wanted to do that, so after high school, I got an apprenticeship with him along with a childhood… friend… of mine because I wouldn’t settle for anything less than working under the best, and once I learned everything I could from him, I opened up this shop, and the rest is history.” Everyone knew of All Might. He was one of the most famous tattoo artists in the world, one of his apprentices, Deku, was running his old shop now that he was retired.
“Why were you angry?” You asked him before thinking. You mentally rolled your eyes at yourself, you didn’t ask people that, when you barely knew them. Then again, you had told him things that you usually don’t tell people you barely knew.
He chuckled.
“That’s a long story, princess. Maybe I can tell you another time, over dinner.” He said. He called you princess again, and it had the same effect, going straight to your core.
“D-dinner?” You stuttered out. He wanted to take you to dinner?
“Yeah. Me. You. A meal.” He said, and somehow, you could just picture the smirk on his face. He patted your ass as you heard the tattoo gun’s buzzing stop, the action making you clench your thighs, hoping he didn’t notice the small action.
You looked at the clock, somehow almost 2 hours had passed, and you had gotten a tattoo, and a wet spot in your panties that you hoped wasn’t noticeable. You felt him spray something on your tattoo, before patting your ass again, and you wondered if he did this with all the girls he had tattooed.
“Are you ready to see it?” He asked, and you took a deep breath and nodded. You got off the table and turned towards the mirror, with your back facing it, turning your head to see the back of your thigh, gasping at the sight. You felt tears come to your eyes.
He had drawn a beautiful bird cage with its door open and a bird flying out of it with beautiful flowers around the cage.
*picture something like this*
You saw him come closer to you in the mirror, and you turned towards him with tears in your eyes. He smiled softly, instead of the usual smirk.
“You’re free now.” He stated, and despite being the least sexual thing he could ever say to you, it was like something snapped in you, that had been building up since you laid eyes upon him that night.
You leaned up, slowly, looking him in the eyes, hoping that he had felt the connection between you two, but that if he hadn’t, he would stop you, and he didn’t, so you closed the gap between you and kissed him. He kissed you back, almost instantly, and it was full of passion and hunger. He slowly backed you up against the wall, holding your hands above your head when he got you against it. He pulled back, looking at your face, and smirked, before pecking your lips, dragging his lips down your jaw leaving pecks that set your skin aflame in the wake. He got to your neck and kissed the same spot a couple of times before sucking, you were sure it was going to leave a mark, but it didn’t matter. He had already left something more permanent on your skin. You felt a moan leave your mouth as you felt his teeth scrape against your skin as he left a mark. He pulled away too soon, and you felt your head chase his, to bring your lips back together, moving on instinct.
“I have to wrap your tattoo, princess.” He said to you, making you groan out loud, and he smirked pecking your lips.
“We have plenty of time, relax.” He whispered as he walked to a drawer, grabbing something, you weren’t really paying attention to what he was doing, and before you knew what was happening, he turned you around so that your chest was against the wall, and he dropped to his knees behind you. You felt him rub something on the spot where your tattoo was and felt him put something over it, then as you were about to turn back around, you felt his lips on your thighs, placing kisses up, and you arched your back at the feeling. You felt him go up your leg with his lips before he got to your center, and he pressed a kiss onto the wet spot in your panties and you groaned out loud.
“Don’t be a tease.” You said, sounding out of breath when he had barely touched you, your body felt like it was on fire, burning for his touch as if him touching you was the only thing to ease the burn.
He chuckled against your core, before, suddenly, you felt the cold air of the room against you and you were bare before him, you instinctively closed your thighs to hide your wetness from him, but kept your thighs apart, slapping your ass making your back arch at the small sting it sent through you.
“Don’t hide from me princess.” He said before you felt his tongue lick its way up your slit, a filthy moan leaving your lips at the sensation. He ate you slowly at first, teasing you with the piercing on his tongue, making you pant and say “please” before he ate you as if he was a man starved and you were the only thing that could satiate his hunger. You felt yourself climbing in ecstasy, you could not wait to reach the peak of it. Suddenly, it was like a dam broke as he took your clit into his mouth and sucked, his piercing rubbing against, making you reach your peak, and you let out a pornographic worthy moan, never having cum so hard from oral. You felt yourself being spun around before you could come completely down from your high, your back now against the wall you had been leaning on with your arms as he feasted on you. Bakugou pulled you into a kiss, you could taste yourself on his lips, kiss full of hunger and lust. You felt his hand run down the front of your body before one of his fingers rubbed against your clit, moaning into the kiss.
“Please.” You whispered against his lips, barely pulling away from the kiss, only enough so that you could whisper that one word to him. He smirked into the kiss before inserting a finger into your cunt, slowly, agonizingly slow, and you whimpered at the intrusion, having been so long since something had penetrated you.
“Fuck princess. You’re so tight, you think you can handle my cock?” He muttered do you as he peppered kisses down your jaw before getting to that sweet spot on your neck again.
“I can handle it.” You got out, moaning between the words. He chuckled against your neck, fucking you with his finger before adding another. It felt so good, but you wanted more. You moved against his fingers, giving yourself more friction, the palm of his hand brushing against your clit as you fucked back onto the two fingers.
“That’s right baby, fuck yourself on my fingers.” He whispered into your ear, his voice gravelly and full of lust. You grabbed his hair, pulling his lips back to yours, he groaned against your lips at the feeling of you pulling hair, making your pull more, softly biting his bottom lip as you pulled away, looking into his eyes as you rode his fingers.
“More. Please.”
“You sure?” He asked as he rubbed a third finger against your clit, making you throw your head back and scream a silent moan, you could feel yourself reaching your peak again, you nodded at him, wanting more, needing more.
His third finger entered slowly with the first two, and you whimpered, stretching you open, but the slight pain mixed with the pleasure felt so good. Your hips had stopped moving, so he started a slow pace, to get you accustomed to the stretch before he made it a steady faster pace, fucking you with his fingers. You pulled at his shirt, wanting it off, when it should have been off long ago. He stopped to take it off for you, and you whimpered at the loss of contact, but when you saw his chest, you groaned. It was covered in beautiful, intricate artwork. His body was that of a Greek god, chiseled to perfection, and when you noticed a glimmer from the light of the room hitting it on his chest, you spotted the piercings he had on his nipples, and you salivated, becoming more hungry for this man than you already were.
You pulled his face closer and grabbed his hand guiding it back to your center, where you wanted them, and he slowly slid each finger back in, one by one. You groaned at the return of the feeling of his fingers inside you, your body set aflame once more. You pecked his lips as he started a steady pace, making your way down his jaw and neck like he had done to you previously, but you had a target. Thankfully, he was taller than you, because your height gave you the perfect angle to take his pierced nipple into your mouth and gently suck, the moan he let out, making you even wetter than you already were.
You gave each nipple attention before attaching his lips back to yours, loving the way they fit together so effortlessly.
“I want you inside me.” You groaned against his lips, grabbing his belt buckle, undoing his belt without breaking away from the kiss.
You broke away, getting on your knees to unbutton his jeans, pulling down his underwear along with them, freeing his erection. You gasped at the size of it, understanding why he asked you if you thought you could handle it. He was big, girthy, and a nice length, but you noticed that there was also metal glinting in the light down there as well, piercings on his cock as well you licked at the tip that was leaking pre feeling the metal of his piercing against your tongue, but before you could take him into your mouth, or try to, he pulled you back up to your feet.
“As much as I’d love to have those pretty lips wrapped around my cock, princess, I want to be inside of you just as much as you want it.” He whispered giving you a kiss, he muttered that he needed to get a condom, but you stopped him from walking away.
“I’m clean, I’m on the pill, just fuck me. I want to feel all of you, inside me, please.” You told him, tone almost as if you were begging, he threw his head back and groaned at your words. He looked into your eyes as he rubbed the tip against you, you whimpered at the sensation of his piercing rubbing against your clit. He patted your thighs, signalling you to jump, so you did, your legs wrapping around his waist as he carried you from against the wall. He sat you down on the table that you had been laying on to get a tattoo just earlier, and spread your legs open again, rubbing the head of his cock against you before stopping at your entrance. He looked at you, as if he was giving you one last chance to back out, but you were all in, so you just stared back as he pushed into you. You whimpered at the stretch, making him stop, before relaxing your muscles, moving your hips to tell him to keep going.
“Move. Please.” You whimpered out, and he obeyed. You had never felt so full in your life, and in that moment, you knew that your cunt was ruined for any other man, you would never be satisfied if they couldn’t make you feel this kind of euphoria. You wrapped your hands around his neck as he started a steady pace, thrusting in and out of you, piercing hitting a spot inside of you that made you see stars, you scratched down his back, and he groaned against your lips, not kissing but still wanting to be close.
“Oh God, Bakugou.” You let out a small scream, your peak getting closer and closer as he kept ramming into you.
“Katsuki. Call me Katsuki.” He grunted to you, sharp short thrust with every word as if to emphasize his point.
“Feels so good, Suki.” You babbled out, head filled with nothing but the feeling of pleasure and him inside you.
“Yeah? It feels good, babe? You gonna cum all over my cock, huh princess?” He grunted into your ear, his words making your head spin even more with his dirty words.
You whimpered out an “uh huh,” not being able to say much else, only focused on hitting your peak, clenching against him hoping he would reach his with you.
“Don’t cum until I say so.” He ground out, picking up a faster pace, making you throw your head back and scream, you were glad it was just you two in the entire building and that the walls were concrete. His thrusts getting sloppier, his hips stuttering, you knew he was close as well.
“Need to cum, please let me cum.” You whimpered to him, not knowing how much longer you could hold off your impending orgams, you were teetering on the edge of the peak, wanting to reach it so bad.
“Fuck. Cum Baby.” He said, and you exploded into the best orgasm of your life. Vision turning white. Screaming out his name, rocking against him as you rode it out.
“Fuck. Such a good girl, cumming all over my cock. Where do you want me to cum, princess?” He asked, his voice still full of lust, as he came to his peak, starting to pull out to finish, but you wrapped your legs around him, not wanting him to leave from inside you, wanting him to fill you up, to ink you in more ways than he already had.
“Inside. Cum Inside, Suki.” You babbled out, begging him to cum, with pleases over and over, and he groaned, taking you into a kiss as you felt him fill you up, warmth filling you, his cum painting your walls.
“Fuck.” He whispered. You nodded, agreeing, it was a “fuck” indeed. Who knew the best sex of your entire life would be with someone you had just met.
You both stayed silent, trying to catch your breath and come down from the high you had experienced together. He pulled out, and walked over to get his jeans, putting his pants back on before stepping back between your legs, that you had not bothered to close yet.
“This is ass backwards, but dinner Friday?” He asked you, breaking the peaceful silence and afterglow that had set in. You looked at his red eyes, and you giggled.
You decided that tattoos were permanent, but you maybe also might want the person who did the tattooing to be permanent too. You weren’t sure what would happen between you and Katsuki Bakugou, but you wanted to find out, and maybe, just maybe he’d ink his name on your heart the way he had the beautiful artwork on your leg.
“I’m free.” you said to him, pecking his lips for good measure.

Affliction (n): something that causes pain or suffering:
“Breaking news: We have yet another report to add to the slew of attacks this month, this comes just days after we broadcast rumours of villains running rampant over the city. This spate of attacks has put the entire metropolitan area at a standstill, road closures and damaged property making it difficult for commuters to get to work in the morning. Road maintenance endeavour to do its best to keep the city running, but it seems futile when these attacks continue to increase. The entire city was brought to a standstill by the mysterious villain who has still not been named, but reports show they are nothing like we have ever experienced before.
Where are the heroes now? Who will save us from the terror overwhelming our city?
Every day the crime toll continues to rise and we have no one here to protect us. The Hero Public Safety Commission assured us earlier in the week that the crime rate would go down, that the top Heroes are out there protecting our city, but if so, where are they? Is it really safe to go out anymore, who can we trust? Would you put your life in the hands of a Hero today? When they have proved our streets are no longer safe. We still have no information on what is going on, or who is involved but we must remain observant. We will continue to report the latest news as we receive it, but for now, we must implore you to heed the warnings of the city-wide curfew that is soon to be implemented. If anyone has any information on these occurrences in the city please send them to us or contact the police, you can remain anonymous. The safety of our citizens is what is most important, stay vigilant and don’t go out unless it is absolutely necessary.
One thing we know for sure: we can no longer rely on Heroes to protect us. The streets of our once-great city are no longer safe, we are no longer safe.”
You stared at the TV and continued staring at it, even as the breaking news passed and regular scheduled tv resumed. When did it all go wrong? It seemed like just yesterday, you dreamt of working with heroes, helping to make the world safe, but it had been 2 years since you abandoned those aspirations, for love, or at least, that’s what you tell yourself.
“Dumbass, I’m home.” You heard a familiar voice echo through the apartment, but you didn’t say anything, too lost in your thoughts.
“Y/N? Are you home?” You heard him ask, but your brain couldn’t process the words to reply, to tell him yes, you were home, where he should have been hours ago instead of out destroying the city with the league of villains.
You heard his footsteps getting closer, but the sound of them faded as your thoughts raced to figure out when it all started, when everything went wrong.
You met Katsuki Bakugou during your first year at UA. You were a first year student, but you weren’t in his class, instead you were in the support course. Each kid in first year support was paired up with a first year hero student, to be their support tech throughout the duration of their stay at UA. You were lucky enough to be paired with him. He was everything you thought a hero should be. He was strong, brave, and he had a good heart, even if most people couldn’t see it because of his rough exterior, loud disposition, and ego, but you could, you had always been good at reading people. The first time he actually acknowledged your existence was after the sports festival.
You remember it like it was yesterday. You were in your little corner of the support lab, tinkering with a gadget you had designed for a project that PowerLoader had assigned to you.
You heard the door slide open, roughly, but you didn’t pay it any mind, support kids were sometimes rough, especially if they were deep in thought about a gadget or design they were working on.
“I’m looking for an extra named L/N. Where are they?” You snapped your eyes up at that, met with a sight of wild blonde hair and a lean, muscled physique in a UA uniform. The person closest to the door gaped at him and just pointed in your direction, making him snap his eyes, landing his sight on you. You gave him a short wave, indicating that you were the person that he was looking for, for whatever reason.
“You’re supposed to be my support tech while I’m at UA. I need modifications and shit to make me stronger. I don’t want anymore wins handed to me the way the fucking sports festival was. I’m aiming to be the undeniable number one. If you can’t do that, tell me and I’ll find someone who can, get it?” His voice was sharp with an edge to it, and you realized that this was a pivotal moment, in what would become of whatever relationship you would have with this boy. He was essentially telling you that he was going to be number one, and you had to be number one as well. If you couldn’t, he’d find someone who could. Were you the best? No. Did you want to be the best? Yes. Your answer to him was simple.
You smiled at him and said, “Tell me what you want, and I’ll do it.” His answer was a grin that showed his pointy teeth and spread across his face. If only you had known what was coming.
“Y/N? Why are you crying?” Katsuki’s voice snapped you out of your memories and suddenly you were aware that he was shaking you. You gasped and snapped your eyes towards his, meeting his ruby red eyes.
“I wasn’t aware that I was crying.” You muttered out, wiping your eyes, finding them wet, indicating that you were actually crying. He looked at you.
“You weren’t aware? Can you at least give me a reason as to why you would be crying?” He sat down beside you, pulling you into his lap. You breathed in his scent, something that used to calm you, but it just made your chest feel heavy, with the strong smell of nitroglycerin from his quirk and the dirt and flecks of blood, that probably wasn’t his, from the destruction that he’d caused somewhere in the city.
“Katsuki.” You said his name. He hummed in acknowledgement, his face had made its way into the crook of your neck, peppering kisses there, showing you affection. “How did we get here?” You voiced the question that had been wracking your brain for so long, something that you asked yourself so many times but never found an answer that you were satisfied with.
He grunted. “What are you talking about babe?”
“How did we go from wanting to save the world, to destroying it? How did we get here?” You asked softly, trying your best not to anger him. His temper was shorter these days, even shorter than back at UA. He’d never laid a hand on you, but you weren’t really sure what he was capable of these days. You weren’t even sure who he was. He looked like your Katsuki, but that was where the similarities to the boy you fell in love with ended, except for the small moments when he made love to you or showed you affection.
“Y/N.” He said in a warning tone. He didn’t like talking about this. He had never given you a straight answer, never gave you a reason. He only asked you to follow him one day, to walk away from Support Course and UA, and you did because you loved him, more than anything. You sighed, not letting it go, even though that’s probably what he thought you were doing, but you wanted to choose your next words, your next step, carefully.
Katsuki Bakugou, you had discovered while working on his equipment, was everything people had said he was, but he was also nothing like they said he was, at the same time. He was loud. He was Vulgar. He had an Ego. He was hot, but he was also kind, in his own way. He was brave. He was determined. He was smart, a genius really. You could tell he was softer than he let on. In the months since he slammed into the Support lab, you had gotten to know him, and he had shown you his kind side, in private, and in public. He had brought out parts of you that you hadn’t known existed. He made you feel things. He made you want to be better so that you could always stay by his side because you knew he was going to do great things. He made your stomach flutter with butterflies. He made your skin burn when he touched you or grazed you. He made your heart race when he came into the room sweaty after a workout with Kirishima. You liked him. You really liked him.
“So. When are you going to let me take you out on a date, or are we just going to keep up with the glances and flirting?” He grunted out while sitting beside you on your workbench, as you were working on modifying his gauntlets. You froze for a second before snapping your eyes to him, dropping whatever was in your hand. You just gave him a look before smiling softly.
“I thought you’d never ask.” you stated, going back to work on the task at hand.
“That doesn’t answer my damn question, dumbass.” He snapped, but all you did was giggle at him, making him snort.
“I’ve wracked my brain the past two years, wondering why we were doing this, why were we leaving everything behind, everything we believed in, to destroy things we were training to protect. I can’t find an answer that satisfies me. I don’t understand what could have made the boy I fell in love with decide that he wanted to destroy hero society instead of be the #1 Hero.” He pushed you off of his lap, landing you on the couch where you were before he pulled you onto his lap. He sighed in frustration pulling at his hair.
“Why does it matter so much? You’re the one who agreed to come with me, you’re the one who followed me because I asked you too. I love you, is that not enough?” He hissed out at you, you flinched because he’d never taken a tone like this with you, but his face softened when he saw you flinch at his voice.
“The league just gave me reasons to destroy hero society as it is and rebuild it, that’s all. The heroes you know, we know, aren’t good people at all. Endeavor abuses his kids and wife, why do you think Todoroki was so emotionally fucking constipated when we were in school with him? Best Jeanist is more worried about appearances as a hero than actual hero work. I could go on, but I just, I just can’t be a hero in the society as it is today, if things were different, then maybe we’d still be at UA, or even graduated, but this is the world we were given, Y/N. This is what’s right. Why can’t you see that?” He had gotten on his knees in front of you, grabbing your hands to hold as he said this. You let his words sink in. He had finally given you an answer, albeit a very vague one, but it was progress, right? Sadly, it wasn’t enough. It didn’t satisfy you to the point where you felt comfortable continuing to build him gadgets to help destroy hero society and the city. It didn’t show you a glimpse, a sliver, of the boy you used to know. All you saw was someone that you loved, without a doubt you loved him, but you didn’t know him at all. Shigaraki and his goons had twisted him somehow.
“I followed you because I love you, but you’re hurting people Katsuki. INNOCENT PEOPLE. The boy I love, the one that was determined to win and be the best hero there is, may have been temperamental, egotistical, but he NEVER hurt innocent people. I can’t continue to make equipment for you that’s going to be used for demolition of the city and innocent people’s suffering. Everytime I look at the news, I see more chaos, more destruction, and my heart hurts a little bit more, and I feel a little more guilty. It’s eating me up inside, that I’ve helped you for the last 2 years, but unlike you, baby, I don’t want to lose who I was completely. I love you, I really do -”
“Are you leaving me?” He breathed out, as if the concept of losing you struck a chord within him, as if it was something he was scared of, but you were scared too. Who were you without Katsuki Bakugou? What position did you play in this world if it wasn’t by his side?
“I -” He cut you off again, not allowing you to answer his previous question.
“Do you remember when I told you I loved you for the first time?” He asked looking at you, deep into your eyes, as if he was looking at your soul. What kind of question was that? Of course you remembered, it was one of the greatest days of your life, one of the best feelings in the world was knowing you were loved by Katsuki Bakugou.
You nodded.
You looked up at the sky, watching the fireworks glitter in the sky. The hues of colors make your heart soar. You felt Katsuki grab your hand and squeeze, making you turn away from the show to him.
“I have something I want to tell you.” He muttered, just loud enough for you to hear him. You smiled at him and nodded indicating you were listening, but he didn’t say anything else. You quirked your brow up at him, but he wouldn’t meet your gaze, so you turned back towards the show in the sky.
“I love you.” You heard him say making your heart stop, snapping your eyes back to him, away from the show once again. You opened and closed your mouth, repeatedly, not expecting that he’d be the first to say it. You loved him, more than anything, but you had been scared to tell him because you didn’t want to ruin the relationship since it had only been 5 months of dating. You knew Katsuki was slower on the uptake with feelings, especially his own, so you kept quiet for the time being, loving him in silence, but here he was confessing his love to you.
“I know I’m not the best at this relationship thing, but you’re the only person that’s ever made me feel something besides anger. You don’t look down on me because of my attitude, and you don’t put me on a pedestal because of my quirk. You just let me be myself- “ you go to say something, but he holds his hand up, indicating for you to be quiet.
“When you smile at me, you make my heart stop. Your laugh makes me get those cringy bullshit butterflies in my stomach, and you’re so smart, possibly the smartest person I know. It’s like you complete me, make me want to do better, to be better, as if I wasn’t already aiming to be the best. All of these things and so many more make me love you. I love you, Y/N.” He took in a breath as he finished his monologue, but you didn’t let him get a good enough breath before your lips were moving against his in a slow, passionate kiss, showing him that you loved him too, before you told him. He grabbed you by your hips, pulling you closer to him, deepening the kiss, making your toes curl. They say when you kiss someone, you feel sparks if it’s a right fit, but with Katsuki you feel like a live wire, full of energy and alive. You felt tingles down your back. His kiss was like another form of breathing, you don’t know if you’d ever be able to survive without it again.
“I love you too, so much.” You breathed to him as you pulled away. He smiled softly, an expression that he reserved solely for you and kissed you again. A simple peck
“Yeah?” He said, lips grazing yours, in an almost kiss. You beamed and nodded, bringing him into another slow, passionate kiss.
“How could I ever forget that?” You muttered to him.
“I still feel the same. I still love you. You’re still the only one who makes me feel alive, still the only person that’s ever given me shitty butterflies. You;re the only light I have left in my life, Y/N. If you leave me, what’s the point in trying to make the world better? I don’t give a fuck about anyone else in this city, besides you. I’d burn the city to the ground if someone told me that was the only way to make sure you were safe. I’d kill, steal, and destroy for you, nobody else, just you. Fuck Shigaraki. Fuck Dabi. Fuck Twice. Fuck all of them. I didn’t join the league because of them, I did it because I want the world to be a better place for you, a place worthy of your existence.” He was on his feet again, pacing, pulling at his hair. It was if he was in a frenzy of, dare you say it, psychotic rambling. Words about how much he loved you and what he would do for you kept pouring out, but they didn’t do anything but make you sadder, hurt you more.
“Stop.” You whispered, but he obviously didn’t hear you because he kept going on and on.
“Stop.” You said a little louder, still not getting a response from him.
“Fucking STOP KATSUKI.” You yelled, your emotions finally getting to you. Tears poured down your face like streams of water. He stopped, turning to you instantly at your yell.
“Just stop.” You said, “I don’t know what has made you think that this world is not worthy of my existence, but you’re wrong. I am fine with this world the way that it is. It has its flaws, but every society does, nothing is perfect, no one is perfect. I don’t want you to do anything for me, not kill people, not burn a city down, none of this should be done for my sake, don’t blame these actions on me. I can’t watch you do this anymore. I love you more than anything, and it used to be my favorite thing to do, love you, but it just brings me sadness and pain now. It hurts to love you, for who you are now, because this isn’t you, this can’t be you, can’t be MY Katsuki. My Katsuki was a hero, is a hero. He wants to win, wants to be the best. I tried to accept you being a villain, because not all villains are bad people, just in bad circumstances, but this is too much, you are too much, loving you is too much. It’s like an affliction in my heart, and I just can’t do it anymore.
Tears were running down his face and he fell to his knees.
“If I don’t have you, what do I have? Please…. Don’t leave me baby. We can figure this out. I can stop. We can be heroes if that’s what you want. Just don’t go. Stay. With me.” He breathed out, voice barely audible, only loud enough for you, and you alone, to hear. You thought about it. You didn’t want to leave him, that was the last thing you wanted, but after seeing what you have seen, could you stay?
You stood in the middle of the crowd, watching All Might’s last fight as the #1 hero, except you wouldn’t know it was his last until he uttered the words “now, it’s your turn.”
“You shouldn’t be here.” You heard the gruffness of his voice before you saw him, spinning around to see him beat up, bruised, but alive, he was alive, that’s all that mattered to you in that moment. You had told yourself that you weren’t going to cry. Katsuki didn’t like it when you cried, but the sobs took over as soon as you got a good look at him. He grabbed you and pulled you into his chest, consoling you, reassuring you that everything was okay, that he was okay, that you were back together with each other again and you’d never have to be without him again.
“I thought you were going to die, I thought I was going to lose you, Suki. I can’t lose you… I just can’t.” You said wiping your tears furiously, trying to get yourself together for him. He grabbed your hands from wiping your face and pulled you towards him again, this time you felt a soft peck on your forehead.
“I’m here.” He said to you. You nodded at him, looking up into his eyes, pools of ruby that you loved so much, that you didn’t think you could live without. Maybe if you had looked closer, you would have noticed the dullness that had started to take over the sparkle, maybe you could have changed the course of what was to come.
It happened three days later. You were decorating the dorm that you had to move into with the rest of the support course, following Katsuki’s abduction. You turned your head when someone knocked on the wall beside your door, since your door was open as you were decorating. You were surprised to see Katsuki standing there, in civilian clothes.
“Hey babe. What’s up? Need some repairs already?” You teased him, but he didn’t smile, didn’t snort, didn’t make a comment about how he only needed so many repairs because he was the best.
He walked into your room and shut the door.
“I’m leaving UA.” He muttered, just loud enough for you to hear, as if he didn’t want anyone else to hear what he said.
“What are you talking about?” You said, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Why would he leave his dream school? Did he want to go to another Hero School? Did he not feel safe at UA anymore?
“The league made me an offer. I’ve decided that I’m going to take it.” Your world halted at those words. What kind of offer could the league have made to make him quit his dreams of being the #1 hero? What could they have said to make him join their cause?
“The league… made you an offer?” you replied to him slowly, hoping that this was a weird daydream, a walking nightmare. He just nodded.
“What kind of offer?” You asked him. The only answer he gave you was a shake of his head, a muttered “it’s not important.” It was important though. What did this mean for his dreams? What did this mean for your dreams that involved him? What did this mean for the two of you as a whole?
“I want you to come with me. I don’t want to be without you, and I’ll need repairs for the things I’m going to do.” He said after a pause in the conversation. You looked at him. What could you say? You had always wanted to build support items. You wanted to make tools to better the world, until you met him. He became your dreams, your aspirations. You wanted to make things for Katsuki, for him only. You wanted to propel his dreams of being the best, to make them a reality. If this was what he wanted to do, if this was what he had chosen, there had to be a reason, a good reason. You trusted him. You loved him.
You nodded.
“When do we leave?”
“I can’t stay, Katsuki.” You said, tears rolling down your face, continuously, no matter how much you tried to make them stop.
You headed towards the room that you two shared in the rundown one-room apartment that he paid for, somehow. You grabbed your bag and packed the few things that you had accumulated in the two years that you guys had been hiding out from everyone. You had somehow never been found, even though you and him were declared missing, even though you were in plain sight. Katsuki had dyed his hair black, gotten some tattoos, some piercings, so that nobody would recognize him. You had dyed your hair as well. You wanted tattoos, but you were too afraid of the pain.
“How can I fix this?” He asked, watching you pack, taking things out of your bag as you put them in. You sighed and stopped to look at him.
“I don’t know if you can fix this, Katsuki. This is never what I pictured our life together would be like. This isn’t what I wanted. It’s not what I thought you wanted, and I just… can’t do it anymore. I’m tired of hiding, tired of chaos and destruction. Hero society may have some corrupt heroes, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t good heroes, worthy heroes. It doesn’t mean you couldn’t have been different, changed it by being the change.”
A tear slipped down his cheek. His eyes pleading with you, almost making you want to stop packing, to stay, to just keep helping him because you love him, but you knew, deep down, that you couldn’t. This was the right thing to do. You were being a hero, in your own way.
You zipped up your bag, fully packed with all of your stuff. You looked at him, taking him in. This was the love of your life. You’d never love someone else the way that you loved Katsuki Bakugou. You loved him fully, wholly, deeply, intensely. It was an all consuming love. The kind of love that some people never got to experience in their life, and you were walking away. You had to walk away.
“I love you, Katsuki Bakugou.” You said as you turned around and walked out of the apartment, out of his sight, out of his life.
*2 Months Later*
It had taken 2 weeks for Katsuki to stop calling you multiple times a day. 3 weeks for him to stop calling you every day. One month to stop calling you every other day. A month and a half to stop calling at all. Your phone hadn’t had his name across your screen in 2 weeks. You wondered if he was okay. Had he been eating? Sleeping? Had he been hurt? If so, was it because you weren’t there to make repairs for him?
You had returned home, to your parents. They had stared at you when you showed up on their doorstep, as if they didn’t believe that it was really you, after 2 long years. They had hugged you for what felt like an hour as they pulled you into the house you had grown up in. They hadn’t asked you any questions, maybe they didn’t want to know. The police had come around a couple days after your return, asking questions, but you didn’t give them anything. You wouldn’t tell them that the villain who’d been causing mayhem was Katsuki. You wouldn’t rat him out, you couldn’t. You left him, but you didn’t want to see him in jail, you still had hope that there was something in there, something that still knew the values of heroism, that wanted to be the best. You had told them that you and Katsuki had broken up, but you wouldn’t tell them where you had been, what you had been doing. You just wanted it to be over, to try and make up for the wrong you had done, to repent for your actions.
That’s how you found yourself sitting on your parents’ couch in the living room, sifting through papers to get certified to work in the support field, thankfully there was a certification program that was similar to having graduated from a support course in a hero school. It wasn’t UA, but it was something. Your parents weren’t home, so you were left to your own devices. You had the TV on for background noise, you weren’t even sure what channel was on, focusing on what you needed to complete to get into the certification program.
“Breaking News: The League of Villains has been taken down. A raid on their current hideout occurred this morning, with heroes apprehending all members, including Tomura Shigaraki. The raid was able to occur because of inside information given to the police.
Two years ago, Katsuki Bakugou, then a student of UA went missing along with his girlfriend and support course student, Y/N L/N. It turns out that he left UA, taking Y/N with him for support, and joined the league, having been convinced what they were doing was right, but 2 weeks ago, he turned himself in, told the cops everything that he had done, everything that the league had planned. In return for this invaluable information, he got a reduced sentence of 3 months in a correctional facility, followed with Community Service for 8 months. He also will be able to apply for a Hero License in 3 years, if he wants, as long as he has good behavior throughout the 3 years until that point. Concerning Y/N L/N, he hasn’t indicated that she had anything to do with this, and there is no proof that she committed any crimes.
Today was a win for heroes and civilians alike. After the seemingly endlessly high crime rate, society may actually see a drop now that the league has been detained and headed to Tartarus.
Following this raid, there will also be an investigation into hero society, due to information on certain heroes, like Endeavor, that has been revealed. Heroes are not above the law, they are just like everyone else.
More information will be given when there is more to add.”
You stared at the TV, eyes wide. Katsuki… had turned himself in? You looked at the mug shot they showed of him, when he turned himself in. Black Hair. Tattoos. Piercings. Sparkling Ruby Red Eyes, as if a light had been reignited into them. Was this because of you leaving? You were inclined to think so, at least in part, and the thought of Katsuki being in a facility, broke your heart, but it also mended it. At least he wasn’t hurting innocent people anymore. At least he had done what was right, in the end.
You leaned back into the couch, heaving a sigh. You felt as if a weight had been lifted off your chest, leaving him had alleviated it some, but this, this news made you feel like you could breathe again.
Your phone vibrated beside you, you answered it, not looking at the screen, assuming it was your parents or one of the few UA classmates who you had met up with when you returned, surely they had seen the news, some may have even been in the raid.
You put the phone to your ear.
“He -” You started but you were interrupted by an automated voice that began talking.
“This is a collect call from inmate Katsuki Bakugou at Shizuoka Correctional Facility. If you would like to accept the call and charges that apply, please press 1. Fees will accumulate for every minute over 15 that the call lasts. If you want to deny the call, please press 2.”

italicized text is meant to be spanish, however, I don’t speak spanish, and I didn’t want to try to google translate and it be wrong. Latin sero is KING though.
Nobody ever wants to be a cliche, right? But here you were being one. You became roommates with Hanta Sero a little over a year ago, and you slowly fell in love with him, irrevocably in love with him, but you were determined to suffer through it because you were sure that he would never feel the same. He was a HERO for crying out loud, a damn good one. He could have anyone he wanted, with his neat quirk that may or may not bring about not so safe thoughts, at times, and his spanish accent that would make any man or woman drop their pants, especially when he was mad, but it wasn’t just that. He was caring, always trying to save the day and people. He would give someone the shirt off his back if they needed it, it’s just who he was. He was loving, especially towards his friends and family, if the pictures hung all over the two bedroom apartment that you guys shared were any indication, even if one of those friends was a blonde asshole who was the epitome of anger in human form. He was everything you wanted, and all the things you never thought you needed all wrapped up in one person. It wasn’t really a problem, living with him while being in love with him. He didn’t date because he was too busy with hero work, so you didn’t have to see him with other women, or even think about him possibly being with someone else, until today.
Today, you woke up like any other day. You ate the same breakfast. You did the same morning routine, except when you walked out of your room, you walked into sero arguing with someone over the phone, in spanish. You could tell it was an argument because of the language his body was using.
“I know his ideas are normally bad, but I can not think of any other viable option, Kirishima. I need these feelings to go away, look at her and look at me, she 's perfect and she deserves someone just as perfect.”
He angrily hung up the phone and drug his fingers through his hair in frustration, and that’s when you decided to pipe up to let him know that you were in the room with him.
“Hanta, are you okay?” You said making him jump in surprise, and he turned to you, forcing a smile on his face, but you could tell it was forced.
“Everything’s fine. I was just talking with Kaminari and Kirishima, and they said something stupid that set me on edge, that’s all. Anyways, Goodmorning Sweetheart.” You felt your body flush at the usual pet name that he gave you, it always made your heart flutter. You smiled brightly at him.
“Goodmorning Cellophane.” You teased at his hero name. He rolled his eyes and scanned the room, searching for something. You could tell he found it when his eyes lit up like a christmas tree. He sighed in relief, picking up the hero belt that he had finally found after searching for it the whole time while he was on the phone, but it was just his luck for it to be hiding in plain sight.
“I’ll be out later tonight than usual, so we won’t be able to watch movies like we usually do on friday nights. Sorry Sweetheart.” He said with his back turned to you. Your heart dropped to your feet. You always looked forward to the movie nights that became a ritual for you and him. If you didn’t know better, you’d consider them dates.
“Oh? Work Event?” You asked with curiosity, wondering what could drag him away from movie night, knowing it had to be something related to work.
“No, not this time. Kaminari has set me up on a date with a girl he knows, and I told him I’d go. Give dating a shot, y’know, get back out there in the field.” He rambled out, but you weren’t paying any attention. As soon as the word “date” left his mouth, your heart crumbled after each word thereafter. You forced a smile onto your face while your heart broke into a thousand pieces while screaming at you to stop him, tell him how you feel, but you let it break and silenced its screams, letting your brain convince you that it was not a good idea. Letting him know you had feelings for him could mess everything up, and you loved hanta, loved living with him, loved being his friend. You didn’t want to ruin that.
“That’s great, Hanta. I am so happy for you.” You were not happy. You knew you should be. If this was what he wanted, you should be happy for him, but you weren’t. You wanted him to want you, wanted him to love you.
“Yeah. I think it might be a good thing. Everyone needs someone to love them and be loved in return, right?” Yes. Yes they did.
“Right!” You said with enthusiasm that you could only hope sounded genuine. He smiled at you one last time before he walked out the door, headed to work as a hero.
Once you knew he was gone, you sighed, but it came out shaky and before you knew it, you were crying, sobbing really. You felt this sharp pain through your heart as if something was squeezing and would not let go. You knew in that moment, you were experiencing real heartbreak, and the only thing to do when you’re heart broken? Call your best friend.
It rang twice before she picked up, and if you weren’t so upset, you’d smile because you knew you could always count on the ever reliable Mina Ashido.
“Yo Bestie.” She said as she answered, her typical nonchalant greeting for answering your calls. You opened your mouth to say something to her, but all that came out was a sob.
“I’ll be there in ten.” She said without you having to say anything, hanging up the call quickly to get to you. You let your phone fall out of your hand, clattering to the floor. How could everything go to hell so fast? You were living peacefully with the man you were secretly in love with, with no problems in sight, now he was going on a date, and it felt like the end of the world.
She made it in eight. She came into your apartment with you on the couch sobbing, hardly able to catch your breath.
“What Happened, Y/N?” She asked, quietly, needing to know what the problem was, so she could hopefully fix it, hating to see her best friend in this condition.
“H-h-he’s g-g-going on a-a-a da-a-a-te.” You stuttered out between your sobs. You didn’t say a name, but you didn’t have too. The thing was that your feelings towards Sero was evident to everyone but him, and apparently Kaminari who kept trying to set him up with girls, and his feelings for you were evident to everyone but you.
“He told you that?” She said to you, all you could do was nod.
“And you’re letting him?” She asked, making you look at her. What did she mean letting him? You didn’t have a choice in the matter of whether or not he goes out on a date. You weren’t his girlfriend, just someone that was hopelessly, desperately in love with him, who happened to be his roommate. It was like she could read your mind, and maybe she could, you had been friends since you were kids, friends throughout highschool, even though you weren’t at UA or in a hero course. She’s the reason that you were able to score this roommate when you were desperate to get out of your family home. She’s the reason you were able to meet Hanta at all.
“N/N, you have two options here, and I am going to tell you what they are, honestly, with no sugar-coating bullshit. You can let him go out on this date, ignore your feelings forever, be insanely upset as you watch him maybe fall in love with this nameless, faceless girl, or maybe he won’t, but then there will be another one after her, and another, until he finds “the one,” and you can wallow in all the “what if?” scenarios you can come up with about your feelings towards him and how it might’ve played out if you had just said something, or you can open your eyes, and see that you are “the one” for him, and say something to him. Tell him how you feel. Then nothing has to change. He will either let you down gently because he’s not an asshole like our neighborhood #1 hero that is also an angry pomeranian, he’s SERO for crying out loud. He’s either gonna let you down gently, or he’s gonna return your feelings, but it’s a chance that you’re gonna have to take because I know you. You’ll regret it, in the long run, if you never tell him.” She took a deep breath after that monologue. Your tears continuously dried up as the words poured out of her mouth, and you felt silly. Why were you so scared to begin with? Was it rejection? She was right. Sero wouldn’t be harsh if he didn’t return your feelings. Was it the fear of change? What would really change if you confessed? You’d still be friends, if he didn’t feel the same, and you’d still be roommates, even if it’d be awkward for awhile.
That’s when you decided. You were going to tell him how you felt. You were going to take a leap of faith and just go for it. Mina was all about living carefree and with no regrets, and she was right, when you thought about it. You would definitely regret not telling him.
You nodded at her and gave her a small smile.
“I’ll do it.”
She sat down beside you.
“What’s the plan then?” She asked with a mischievous smirk on her face, and seeing that, you couldn’t help but match it with one of your own. Sero was certainly the love of your life, but Mina was undoubtedly your soulmate, two halves of the same hole.
“So here’s the plan…” You told her what your plan was, and she nodded along with you, agreeing with your plan, piping up when she thought something needed tweaking, and you two had a solid, doable plan almost an hour later. She left you to your own devices because she was on hero duty tonight, and she needed some semblance of rest to be able to protect the citizens at full potential.
You got dressed for the occasion and watched the clock until you knew he was almost due to clock out, and you called him.
Ring. Ring.
“Princesa. Are you okay? You never call me when I’m at work unless something is wrong.” He rushed out, answering after only two rings. Your heart soared when he called you a princess in spanish, and then it twisted in horror thinking that if you didn’t do this, that he’d call someone else that, or at the least, cease calling you that because what girl wants their boyfriend calling another girl “princess?”
“... I’m actually not okay, Hanta. I know you have a date, but can you come home before you go? I really need you.” You inhaled and exhaled slowly, trying to keep your breathing even from all the nerves in your body standing on edge.
“... sure, princesa. I can come home before then. I’ll be there in 20. I just have to turn in paperwork and stuff. Will you be okay till then?” You nodded even though he couldn’t see you and breathed out a “yes” to give him confirmation that you’d be okay for twenty more minutes.
You hung up with him and stood up, started pacing back and forth while looking at the clock. You were actually gonna do this. This was a pivotal moment. After this, there was no going back, only forward.
Pacing back and forth, time seemed to only drag on making those twenty minutes feel like an hour, until you heard hanta’s keys jingle in the slot, unlocking the door.
“N/N? Where are you?” He said as he opened the door, not noticing you in the small living room. You looked at him, and your heart clenched, in the best way. He was so beautiful. He looked tired from a day of hero work. His hair was still wet from taking a shower at the hero office, like he always did, hating coming into the apartment smelly and sweaty.
“I’m right here, Hanta.” You said making him snap his gaze to you. He looked you up and down, probably checking to see if you were physically okay, and when he noticed that nothing was physically wrong with you, he gave you a curious look.
“You’re not hurt?”
“I am. It’s just not a wound you can see.” you replied to him, trying to strain a smile, but not quite making it work.
“I don’t -” He started but you shook your head.
“Do you know her name?” You asked, words tumbling out of your mouth without you really being able to think about them.
“Who?” Sero said, clearly not realizing you were talking about the girl he was supposed to go out with tonight.
“Do you know what she looks like? Is she prettier than me?” You asked, making his look grow even more confused.
“I -” He went to say something, but you continued on with your tirade, not being able to stop the words coming out of your mouth now.
“I sat here today, and I just thought, how has he not noticed? Has he, and just chose to ignore it, but you’re not that kind of person, you wouldn’t blatantly ignore someones’ feelings. You’re a hero, acknowledging people and their feelings is a part of that job, but then you told me you were going on a date today, and my world stopped. It literally stopped because I was okay with it being unnoticed as long as nothing changed, but you dating changes everything hanta because I can’t just stand by and watch the man that I am hopelessly in love with, who just so happens to be my roommate, go on a date with someone that’s not me. Not without telling him how I feel. I don’t want to live the rest of my life with unanswered questions and thoughts about what could happen.” You sighed. Taking a breath, looking at him as you did, seeing him with wide eyes and an open mouth. He opened and closed his mouth as if to say something, but you could tell he wasn’t sure what to say.
“I love you, Hanta Sero. I love the way you care about people in your life and people you don’t even know. I love the way you try to make sure I am okay when you get home, even though you’re the one that is out there saving lives every single day. I love the way your eyes crinkle and you have a little dimple when you smile, and I mean really smile. I love the sound of your laugh. I love the way you smell when we cuddle on the couch while watching movies because I get cold so easy. I love the way you play with my hair when you think I’ve fallen asleep during the movie, when the truth is that I just pretend because I don’t want you to stop. I love how smart you are and how you continue to surpass everyone’s beliefs about you because you’re so great and no one ever sees that, always doubting you. I see that though. I see you, Hanta, and I love you just the way that you are.” You were so into your thoughts and feelings that you weren’t even aware of the huge smile that had made its way onto his face. You just kept talking.
“I know I’m not the greatest. I get upset easily, and I’m not the smartest. I’m not athletic, and I’m a decent cook, but nothing noteworthy, and there are probably so many people that would be better for you, who could love you better, take better care of you while you’re out there saving the world, but instead of dating someone that you don’t even know, that KAMINARI picked out, is it so far fetched that you never even consider dating me, when I was right here, all along? Was I not even a thought? No matter. I’m here. I’m pouring out my feelings, despite my intense fear of you rejecting me, and I’m asking you, pleading with you to pick me. Pick me, hanta. Choose me. LOVE ME. If you just do that, if you just choose me, I’ll spend the rest of my life showing you that you made the right decision, that I’m worthy of your love. That I -” You were cut off by the feel of lips slamming onto yours, words dying in your throat as the band that was stretching so tight, finally snapped. You had kissed guys before, but it had never felt like this, no one’s lips had ever felt like they were made just for yours, but his did. They fit together with yours perfectly, in sync, as the kiss went on and on, and you never wanted it to end, but it did. He slowly pulled his lips away and took a breath.
“Please. Stop talking. I wouldn’t want to choose anyone else. How have we both been hopelessly in love with the other and never noticed each other’s feelings?” He breathed out. His words made your stomach flutter with butterflies and instead of tears or sobbing, laughter, unadulterated laughter, flew out of your mouth, making him laugh along with you.
“I guess we’re both blind when it comes to feelings, huh?” You asked, smirking, and he nodded as he leaned in to kiss you again, and everything melted away, your brain flooding with serotonin.
This is my first fanfic i’ve written in AGES, literally years. It’s part of the NYE collab in the bnharem discord server! You can find the other great fics here! I hope you enjoy and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
“at the beginning of the new year, you’ll meet the love of your life. Red seems to be significant in this encounter, and I also see explosions, maybe fireworks.”
The words of the fortune teller rang over and over in your head. You went to see them, hoping that they would tell you that something good was coming your way after the shit show that 2020 has been. Now you could not get their words out of your head. You never really put much stock into psychics, fortune tellers, or anything of the sort, but your friend had recommended this teller, with nothing but positive reviews on yelp as well, you decided that you were willing to give anything a try for some hope.
It was new years’ eve now, and you were getting ready to go out to celebrate your first new years in Japan with your new friend, Mina. You met Mina during your first villain encounter, her being a hero and you needing to be saved, and after all the chaos was over, you two just clicked, and you’ve been in contact ever since. Hero work has kept her super busy, so you jumped at the chance to hang out with her when she invited you out, telling you she had the night off from hero work. You admired her, and all the other heroes, for their work, you weren’t born with a quirk that made you hero material, instead you became a lawyer, to still help make society a little better.
“Y/N!” A loud knock is heard from the front door of your apartment, and you recognize the voice as Mina’s. You open the door with furrowed eyebrows, coming face to face with Mina with bags in her hand and a huge smile on her face.
“I know we didn’t talk about this, but I never get girl time, so I decided that we were gonna get dressed and head to the bar together. I told the others that we’d meet them there. Hope that’s okay.”
You nodded your head with a smile. It was totally okay because you were in the same boat as her, with your work usually keeping you just as busy. It would be nice to have some girl time.
She squealed, dragging herself and the bags into your apartment.
“I got us both dresses to wear, I hope you like wearing red. I saw this dress on patrol, and I thought it would look amazing on you, so I snagged it for you.” after the word red, her voice faded into the background, with the fortune teller’s words coming back to your mind.
Red seems to be significant in this encounter.
There was no way Mina could have known about the fortune teller’s words to you, yet out of all the colors she could have chosen. It was red.
The bar was bustling full of people, some already drunk on the dance floor, as you two moved through the crowd, Mina dragging you to her and her friends usual table. You saw someone with spiky red hair waving towards us, as you got closer, you recognized him as Red Riot. The others were also heroes: Cellophane, Chargebolt, and Mindjack.
Mina introduced you to all of them. Chargebolt, despite him obviously being in a relationship with the purple-haired hero, shot a pickup line at you, making you laugh, just assuming he was a natural flirt. Cellophane spoke to you in spanish, and you were pretty sure he called you a princess. Red Riot, with Mina now attached to his lap, introduced himself. You sat at the head of the table, not sure where you fit in with this group, but wanting to fit in nonetheless.
You found yourself letting go, drinking, and generally having a good time with the hero group. It was a nice distraction from all the stress that this year had brought you.
“Shouldn’t bakubro be here by now?” Kaminari asked Kirishima.
“He’s caught up with some paperwork from a last minute villain arrest, but he said that he’ll still come, just might be late.” He replied to Kaminari, taking a swig from his beer, planting a kiss on Mina’s cheek.
“Y/n!” Mina suddenly exclaimed, making you jump at the sudden outburst, shooting her a questioning glance. “We should get new year kisses tonight.” She slurred her words, it was nearing midnight, so she was a little drunk.
“You have someone you can kiss, so who am I kissing?” you teased at her.
“Just grab someone and lay a kiss on them, what’s the harm in a little kiss?”
Boom
You jumped as fireworks were heard from somewhere else in the city, and then the fortune teller’s voice rang in your head again.
Maybe fireworks.
You decided that you were going to do it. You were just going to lay a kiss on the first person you saw at the end of the countdown. What’s the harm in a little kiss, right?

You looked around at the people in the bar, couples pairing up, looking at each other as they counted down the moments till the new year began.

You smiled at your new friends as they paired off: Mina and Kirishima, Shinsou and Kaminari, and cellophane asleep at the table after the drinks and hero work caught up with him.

You noticed a man with blonde hair about to walk past you, so you tapped him on the shoulder as he walked by, making him stop.

You kissed him, before he could ask why you tapped him, before you lost your nerve. It took a second, but he kissed back, and it felt as if the world faded into the background.
“HAPPY NEW YEAR.”
You pulled away, only to have the breath knocked out of you, as you looked into his red irises, his eyes wide with shock and his face flushed. The fortune teller’s words ringing in your head, once again.
“at the beginning of the new year, you’ll meet the love of your life. Red seems to be significant in this encounter, and I also see explosions, maybe fireworks.”
All you could do was smile as you spoke to him for the very first time.
