Mixing Colors (Rin & Kuroko)
'Hmmm... it needs something, but I don't know what,' Rin thought to herself as she worked.
He back was aching, her joints were stiff, and she hadn't slept well in the last two days. She was, for all intents and purposes, in pretty bad shape.
However, it couldn't be denied that her time was well-spent. She was asked to paint a mural for the school, to be shown in the next few days at a school-wide fair of sorts. She didn't know what it was for, or why she was the one to be asked to do it, but she did as she was told regardless.
It was all the same to her.
She focused hard on the wall before her, biting her lip and engaging the painting as though it were an enemy to be conquered, a battle to be won. The brush was dipped in the small puddle of color at her feet, held between her toes and lifted deftly to the work at hand.
She was quickly running out of color, something she never found fun. Mixing colors was a tedious process, one Rin generally tried to do with large amounts of paint at one time so as not to find herself in the position of trying to get the exact same shade as the last time.
This mural was becoming unexpectedly large, and she would have to go fetch more paint soon enough. What a drag.
There were other students roaming the grounds, some even stopping to look on as she worked.
She paid them no mind. Heck, she hardly even knew they were there. She was too lost in the work, too buried in her own head to bother with distractions like the outside world. Even on such a nice day.
If only she had someone to help her...
