UPS sucks so hard
I hate when companies use UPS for their shipper. I've had several occasions where things have been returned to the shipper because I'm not home the 3 days in a row when the UPS driver tries to drop off my stuff (this has never happened with items shipped via FedEx or USPS). This returning of items is super annoying, but their latest shenanigans have completely pissed me off and I have assured I will never use their services again.
Back at the end of May, I had 2 items shipped to Florida for convention via a Fed-Ex. This shipment to FL cost just shy of $50. When I returned home, I got a call from UPS that they had my items ready to be delivered, but I owed them almost $500 for the shipping. WTF?!? (I'm a little irritated that the trade show vendor used UPS instead of FedEx like I'd requested..but that's another story for another day)
After I sent UPS the receipt from FedEx that showed how much I paid to ship to Florida, they've now sent me an "adjusted" invoice with a $366 balance. They also sent a note saying that if I didn't pay soon, they were going to auction off my items to recoup the cost of shipping. BWWWHHHAAAAA! Good luck with that you slimy bastards, you will have approximately zero bidders on those items because there are only 5 people in the country that need trade show material from my company...and the other 4 people already have theirs.
