Released a quarter century ago... in 1994. After signing to Atlantic Records (1990) and IRS/Grand Slamm (1993), and watching both deals go south - I decided to form my own Indy label in 1994. I started RLS Records in the Spring of that year (1994) and self-released “Fist First” that summer. All with the help of my cousin Keith Ryan Cartwright. In a nutshell, these were originally demos (paid) for @atlanticrecords for record #2. TODD Chase had already left the band when we recorded these in the spring of 1992, so Robbie Crane was brought in to rehearse and record with us. Crane got the Vince Neil gig shortly after these recordings were done and we hired Danny Wilder (Paradise) to be our new bassist. #RipDanny We eventually got dropped from Atlantic, but were picked up the next year (1993) by Grand Slamm/IRS. Once that deal went south, I said “Screw this” and started my own label. In addition to releasing this on both CD & Cassette, we also shot 3 videos and booked 2 full U.S. tours that spanned coast to coast playing upwards of 100 live shows. Sigh i miss danny, i miss being curled up in his arms making me feel so safe, home and loved. Till we meet again, baby. ♡
Today, we said goodbye to the legend, @gurulew 🙌🏼 Suhhhh duuude, words don't describe how much you will be missed. It was amazing to spend time with Danny's brother, @davepinata , who is so like him in so many ways, and carries on his spirit in this world 🌎❤️ Living in the world of recovery, I'm constantly reminded of just how important it is to take care of your relationships and if you're struggling, it's always okay to ask for help. I'm happy that he is finally at peace, and that he no longer feels like something is missing. Rest In Peace, D.Lew ❤️ #foreverandalways #ripdanny #restinpeace #suhdude #trippy #loveyou #brother #brixtonzackery (at Cypress Forrest Lawn)
