In all honesty, this usually just happens when she’s in the same room as both Jessica & Daniel. It was just a Jessica day & she was going to celebrate it all cheesy. It feels nice being a family.
“ Too late, I did. I also made chicken alfredo. ” Carol just takes that step in, free hand reaching up to wrap around around Jessica’s bicep. She leans in, leaves a lingering kiss against Jessica’s cheek. “ I -- ” It mostly just surprised how easily ‘i love you’ was about to slip from her mouth. There was no malice behind not saying, just sheer surprise. Carol’s nose brushes Jessica’s cheek before she turns, smiles at Daniel & instead whispers, in a baby voice: “ -- need to check on the alfredo. We don’t want sticky pasta, do we? ”
