lil note: its been a while since i wrote a fic :(( i was bored so here ya go! mean ass dumblr decided to delete the fic while i was writing the ending so i got rlly pissed lmao. anyways, hope you enjoy!
coming to the circus was a bad idea. a terrible idea. the moment you take your eyes off of the monkey on the high ropes, a clown is lunging at the audience and a man juggling bowling pins starts throwing the pins your way. frantically, you search the area to find your boyfriend, only to find that everyone around you has a creepy grin on their faces, reaching from one ear to another. you run to the entrance only to see eternal darkness surrounding it. this is it. this was the end of everything. you brace yourself for the towering clown and the heavy bowling pins flying your way. the pins went straight for your face and-
"hey, you okay?"
you feel a warm hand shaking your body ever so lightly. you sit up in your bed to see your boyfriend jeno, looking into your eyes with worry and fear.
"yea, just a bad dream"
jeno takes your hand into his and holds it dearly as you two embrace the silence of the midnight hour. you notice he starts rubbing his thumb on the back of your hand, it was one of your favorite ways of showing love.
"c'mere"
he opens his arms, inviting you for a hug. you lean in and feel him engulfing your frightened body, his warmth seeping in little by little. jeno holds you softly, as though not to break your fragile state, and this pushes you slowly, back into the depths of your more pleasant dreams. he smiles when he feels your hold on him loosen, and tries so hard to hold back his giggles when he feels your soft breath breezing past his neck.
jeno holds you until he knows you're okay.
he knows he has you, and you have him.
