SHOW CHOIR CAPTAIN NOMINATIONS
“I noticed New Directions has a limited selection of music we sing in glee club. All we sing is old school music and Broadway tunes. It’s like Mr. Schue has no variety in music or doesn’t want change and it’s something New Directions needs desperately. If I was captain we would definitely be open to doing a whole range of different music genres from rap to hip hop to pop to oldies to r&b to country. Hopefully I’m voted captain because all that would change and most importantly everyone would have their chance to shine not just certain members.”
“Why shouldn’t I be the New Direction’s captain is the real question here. I’ve been performing since I was able to walk and talk, I have extreme and extensive knowledge of all types of music so I can help people out when it comes to choosing competition songs. Speaking of competition, I have never lost a show choir competition in my entire life. Treat my word as Gospel, I will get the New Directions to Nationals and beyond. No one else here is going to be the leader we need. No one but me.”
“I, Madison McCarthy, on behalf of myself and my twin brother Mason McCarthy, submit us for captain of the award-winning New Directions. Between Mason's undeniable charm and people skills and my unparalleled organizational abilities, we are already the best choice. When you throw in our obvious talent and the fact that it was our duet that sealed the Nationals win last year, I don't know if I understand why anyone else would bother going against us. But best of luck to those that apply!"”
“Gentlemen of Duly Noted, I would like to first say that you’re all fantastic. I’d like to point out that I’m a pretty chill dude, I think I’d be a great choice for captain of our fantastic group. I’d always take everyone’s ideas into consideration and make sure you’re heard. I won’t run this like a dictatorship, we’re a team and just because the team needs a leader to keep us reigned in doesn’t mean that the people on the team won’t be heard. I think I can bring a lot to being the captain, when I put my mind to something I stay driven and determined to see it out to the end. Lastly, I’d just like to say I’d love to be the captain to this rad group of great, talented dudes. I hope you consider me for captain!”
“I have always been a performer; I was dancing before I could talk, and singing way before that. I perform regularly at theme parks and in amateur theatre. If there’s anyone who has any experience in the world of performing, it’s me. Because of this I would be the most suitable captain, as I can use my experience to help the time win, and I doubt that we will do anything but win under my captaincy. I will lead Duly Noted to esteem and fame in the show choir community, starting with a win at Sectionals.”
“Okay guys, so I think I should be captain because well I am a senior. I’m so passionate about this little group and I love all of the woman to woman support we have in here. I want us to win our competitions and blow everyone out of the water that women can win and be just as great as guys can. We are all so talented you guys and I just want to be able to lead you all! I’ve been doing a lot of theater and performing my whole life so I have a lot of experience with judges performing aspects that could get us ahead in the competition. So with that being said I hope you guys for for me because I completely believe in you all.”
“As a Senior, I feel that it is my duty to help set this group up for a good year after we have graduated. The Troubletones have been a big part of my high school career and I want to see us at the top. I think that I bring a lot to the table, I’m very organized and focus. I’m willing to put in the long hours if needed to make sure that everything is prefect for the group.”
