Drunk Shenanigans

Naofumi drinks a potion that gets him drunk. It was completely voluntary. He gets weird when drunk, as in Lan Wangji Level Weird.

And Motoyasu gets drunk with him.

First, Naofumi forgets everyone and everything, but, he makes a silent decision the moment he sees L'Arc and Therese that he has fallen in love, want to marry them, and shows them his love.

Motoyasu encourages him.

This devolves into multiple shenanigans:

Stealing multiple chickens and Filolial eggs from the town before coming back in record time to hand them to L'Arc and Therese, with Motoyasu laughing the whole way and yet somehow they don't get discovered.

Naofumi decided to make many more pieces of jewelry, and L'Arc and Therese painstakingly had to watch him closely after the first time he almost stabbed his own hand and then didn't care, before going back to having an adorable look of drunken concentration on his face.

While the almost-hand-stabbing happens, Motoyasu ventures out to acquire children for their "newly-wed family" (They're not married yet)

Motoyasu comes back 10 minutes later carrying an almost-asleep Itsuki over one shoulder while Filo sits on the other, and drags a half-asleep Ren and Raphtalia behind him. Rishia is stumbling behind, holding Raphtalia's other hand.

He then loudly announces "I found your children!" in all his drunken glory, before stumbling over his own feet, making everyone crash to the ground.

Oh yeah, and this is all happening in the middle of the night, the others don't know the two are drunk.

Naofumi looks up, blinks slowly thrice, and then goes over to switch between whose head he's petting, muttering "child..." under his breath.

When L'Arc and Therese ask why Motoyasu went to get a bunch of kids, he says he read it in a marriage book somewhere. This sparks the idea of finding one somewhere in the Royal Library.

Naofumi fucking agrees because he wants to provide everything needed for his now (not-yet-married) husband and wife (So far, he's only proposed to them in his drunkenness with a ring, each ring half-done but still, it's ring enough.)

So, they all go to the library, where Naofumi will spend five minutes staring at a random page in each book he finds where the covers look to be something about marriage (half of them are erotica) before finding a new one.

The kids have gone back to sleep on the couches and plush chairs in the library, while L'Arc and Therese are following after Naofumi or Motoyasu, putting the books back in their places after they're randomly put to the ground.

The next morning, when a servant comes to start cleaning the library, they find the four heroes and the Shield Hero's party all sleeping in random spots in the library, seven chickens wandering the hallways, and 5 Filolial eggs on Therese's bed.

Naofumi doesn't remember anything because of a side-effect of the potion, and Motoyasu was too wasted to remember.

Poor Rishia thought that she was a goner for sure but she would be dead if this girl hadn’t shown up. Trying her best to hide from these creatures as she let out a long sigh. Looking around before her gaze turned towards Aurora.

“I-I’d be dead anyways.” nervously fidgeting with her fingers. She couldn’t even protect herself,let alone anything else.
