kinda awesome that modern rising world scholars are like 'man i wish we knew the origins of pivotal historical figure kaiisteron witch king but alas this knowledge has been lost to the mists of time :(' and meanwhile pivotal historical figure kaiisteron witch king is happily living in a well with his best friend and her wife
WITCH KING FANDOM ARE YOU OUT THERE?!?!?
For the other five people in the Rising World fandom, Martha did a Murderbot interview last month (April 2026) and mentioned working on the third Witch King! And potentially finishing it this year!
Ziede can tease Bashasa about his crush on Kai, right in front of Kai, and Kai Does Not Get It
What I really enjoy about Martha Wells’s Rising World books is that every character feels like they’re the protagonist of their own story — like if we hopped into anyone else’s head it would be just as rich and compelling
this build took SO long. breaking his figure up into simple shapes, and figuring out how to squash and stretch those shapes to fit together, was a very tedious process with lots of trial and error. but i learned a lot and feel like a pro at this game now XD
every section you see is a separate single piece of glass, and the whole window consists of just over 700 blocks (tho i don't know how much of that is glass and how much is metal) very proud of this and happy to finally see it finished! can't wait to install it in the window of my fanart museum/art gallery in the game :D
btw the game this was made in is on sale for the next few days (and is still cheap the rest of the time); https://store.steampowered.com/app/324080/Rising_World/ i haven't added this build to the forums for public download YET, but i will, and then you can have it in your own game! (i have a few more wizardmon-related builds i want to make first and then i'll post them all at once)
also fun fact, this game is so awesome that i could knock out the glass blocks, export this blueprint as a 3d model, and 3d print the metal frame to actually make this thing in real life if i wanted to.
