having someone sit on you while suspended isn't safe! The lines could break and you could get seriously hurt you should take that down so others don't attempt this reckless bullshit!
Rope is not a safe activity. Rope is edge play and every time we engage with it we are risking our health and safety.
However risks can be mitigated to levels where the players involved are comfortable taking those risks and understanding what can go wrong.
In the swing suspension: we tried the tk a few times until it was placed in the ideal spot to limit potential nerve damage. The uplines used were posh rope and not natural fiber which means that the posh ropes are weight rated for FAR more weight than natural fiber ropes are and their likelihood of breaking are significantly lower. The bamboo we suspended off of is strong and has held multiple people in dynamic suspensions at once. The bamboo is attached to the suspension points also using posh rope. The suspension points were installed into the ceiling and heavily overengineered by a construction professional. Howl very slowly put their weight on me to ensure that I could handle the added stress and that it wouldn't fuck with my body and nerves more than expected. I was doing hand and finger checks as we did this to see how my nerves and circulation was doing.
Howl and I have been tying together for around 9 years now. We have built up a lot of trust and knowledge around how we both work with rope.
Was this a foolproof and safe tie? No. No tie is. But we mitigate the risks as best we can, we prepare for what could go wrong, we seek out education to set ourselves up the best we can, and we accept the very real risks that could occur.
I subscribe to the RACK (risk aware consensual kink) methodology when engaging in edgeplay
Just saying

My partner and I were discussing the difference between "X causes Y" and "X increases your risk of Y" and discovered that the CDC opts for the former and the NHS the latter, which is interesting, I don't know why this is, but I wonder if it contributes to views on medical opinions held by the general public due to this idea of 'certainty' when it comes to these kinds of things.
Please note I'm mainly talking about the US and the UK.
It's well known that when an expert or a politician is giving their views on something that unless they talk about it in 'all or nothing' terms, ie. no nuance, no doubts, this is their belief and they will not budge from it; then if any new information comes out that dissuades from that belief, showing uncertainty in their words will automatically make them less credible in what they're saying, regardless of whether its true or not.
There's a good chance that this idea affects public views because they don't ever talk about risk mitigation, its all about whether things 'work' or not. Eg. Masks don't prevent covid, they decrease your risk. 'Unless there is absolute certainty that this method will prevent covid, then there's no point in doing it because you'll get covid anyway.'
This idea is exactly how a lot of right-wingers tend to think and its a serious threat because it leads to negligence, and the stripping away of the few preventative measures that are in place and do work (whether you see it or not). Eg. Measures to decrease gun violence are pointless because gun violence will still happen so there's no point in implementing them.
It's not about preventing things from happening because few things can be truly 100% prevented, its about risk mitigation because while you sure as hell can't 100% guarantee that you won't ever catch covid, or give it someone else, you can certainly reduce the risk of it, by: masking up, avoiding heavily crowded areas, getting vaccinated, testing regularly, etc. But unfortunately, the governments doesn't care about risk mitigation, because if it did, people wouldn't still be dying of covid on a regular basis.
We live in a world of uncertainties, and you must accept that, because anything that can be prevented can and still will happen whether you like it or not.
You must choose whether you're going to play your part in lowering the risk for everyone, or screwing over everyone because "we can't stop it so why bother"
And remember, just because it doesn't personally affect you now, does not mean it won't affect you later.
