Rito Link 2.0

Howdy! I’ve been meaning to revisit my rito link design that I did (jeez.. here we go) 2 and a half years ago (ufff...) and show how he would appear in the first chapter of comic I was planning to make at the time. 

There were a lot of fun concepts for him. Like, he was gonna wield his sword with his talons, floating in mid air and using his agility to aerial dance his way around fights. personality wise, he would be a bit lazy and wild at the beginning xD represented here by how messily put on his talon’s wraps were put on (mostly compared to other Rito)

Lastly, I had planned to change his design over time to have sharper features. changing the shape of his eyes and even hair. kinda going from a more youthful link to something more reminiscing of twilight princess link, where you can feel more maturity.

anyway, this was fun to make! hope somebody likes it xD

Rito Skyward Sword Link (Ref Sheet)

Birb Sky 🦅

I’ve seen people drawing Link as a Rito, especially the BotW version which is a literal full bird, so I decided to make my own design too! Also, with my favourite incarnation, Skyward Sword Link. I made him as a Loftwing-based Rito (eh, not really since he looked more like a mix of owl/parrot/maybe a bit of falcon 😁)

Here’s the rough concept sketch that I made before the refs, this was just me still thinking about his features and stuff ,will be remade again into a finished art in the future :

My Instagram is almost full with him since last week, I just really love this floof birb boy okay? He looks really fluffy tho :’)  I know some of you been asking my permission to draw him, SURE WHY NOT -- DRAW HIM AS MUCH AS YOU LOVE TO! I’m in for any fanart!  \(●'◡'●)/

A couple of Announcements!

-First is confirmation that the doc file containing my notes on the revalink comic is definitely going to get made. thank you to everyone that actually answered my question!

I'll release it when I have everything for chapter 1 ready and I'll continue updating it as I add the rest of the chapters of the story to it (there are 4 in total).

Rito Skyward Sword Link - Armor (Update)

A slight update for my Rito Skyward Link design, I made his shoulder armor into a more detailed one rather than having a plain round plates! With a reminiscent of Hylian Shield’s design too. In the other side... his eyeshadows gave me life :D

So, this goes to that one anon that inspired this project for the week

So the idea behind this design was link being a rito, abandoned as a hatchling that was raised by the sheika. and getting the master sword.

of course revali isn't  too happy that another rito is taking the most important part against ganon. but eventually they warm up to each other, and revali actually teaches him more about his culture and where he came from.

now, this is not exactly finished. this is just the first concept. I plan on making a couple of sketches and a final drawing for this. cuz is fun.

also im playing with the idea of him and revali growing up together. 

NOW if any of you have any head cannons for this do throw them my way it would be fun to shape this character in collaboration with whoever wants to participate!.

so yeah let me know what you think!

Hi! I love your art! I’m just wondering, what is Link and Revali’s relationship in your comic/art? Thanks!

They are extremely close. When revali was left an orphan they stuck together and always looked out for one another while growing up. It was rare to hear the laugh of one without soon hearing the other.

Revali and link’s sass game is really strong. They teased each other so much that it became the sense of humor between the two, always finding something to nag the other about.

One of revali’s favorite things was making fun of link’s archery, since he was never as good as revali was. But, if someone else dared to the same revali would snap at them, defending link’s skills with all the sass he could muster.

This sort of thing made link smile, and warmth would grow in his chess. 

(BTW I’m real happy you are liking the art!)
