Rivel (current name, he switches names often bcs human syllables fail to capture his essence, atleast to him) is sarges older brother. Sarge is powerful enough where no other supernatural beings are a threat to him at all no matter if they are grouped, but Rivel is in a grouping all of his own. Sarge knows kindness because he learned it and was interested in it- Rivel went centuries without a name for anything involving kindness. He killed his youngest brother and his father and he knows the politics of the underworld. The strongest survive. Rivel, after killing his father and mother long before, has ruled and dominated hell in his own domain for a long while. Long enough to get bored. He does not have his brothers apt for making friends, doesnt have the charisma or friendliness. Though Rivel can blend in amongst humans and even learn to play amongst them, he lacks his brothers ability to care for others. Sarge pretends to care for most people, but Rivel is not as good at it. Sarge may be a devil who makes his living off of human traffick and torture, but he is excellent at acting. Rivel is also great at acting, but doesnt quite understand to do with humans. Sarge is capable of seeing and appreciating a person who has empathy and kindness. He will probably become protective of them. Rivel is not. Rivel seeing kindness and empathy and self sacrifice causes him to become obsessed. Not in a good way. He does not understand it at all and is desperate to either make this goodness a part of him or to fuck it out of them as hard as possible.
