it had been a while since the last time solbin was in elementary school - six years, to be exact. in the last six years, she had graduated from basic addition to calculus and started making simple sentences into detailed essays. now she had even started university, her first foray into the real world of adults.
but she didn’t feel like an adult, not when she was still one month removed from being legal and a year younger than all of the other first years in k-arts. skipping a grade was nice, she supposed, when people marveled over your accomplishments. but it gave her one less year with people who should have been her peers.
one example of such was halla. they had been close during elementary school, whispering secrets to each other in the playground and sharing their packed lunches with each other. but solbin had moved on to middle school two years before the younger girl, and while they still stayed in contact from time to time, they certainly didn’t have the same amount of closeness that they once did.
which is why solbin had invited her out that day. her grandma had told her that she regrets not taking more pictures when she was young, just to capture the memories, and with the current technology, solbin thought it would be a great idea to invite one of her friends and create memories for her to look back on when she was her grandmother’s age.
halla was the perfect choice, of course, having been a friend for such a long time, and plus, they could catch up.
“so, where should we go first?” she asked as the two girls walked down the sidewalks of the city. she was excited to get started, and couldn’t wait for the day.
