Veterinary Technician Moodboard
I had 11 patients last night on a med/surg oncology floor with a blood transfusion. I wanted to cry, it's so unsafe. We had 3 nurses on the floor for 31 patients. I know the grass may not always be greener on the other side but what kind of staffing situations do you guys face? What kind of facility and state?
Nothing like a bad night of sleep before three in a row

One of the Worst Things You Can Hear at Work?
Why is your back wet?
Nursing 1 has their first simulation day today and they are freaking out. I remember when that was me a year ago. It's crazy how far you can come in just a year in nursing school. As confident as a feel now, at the exact same time I feel like I know absolutely nothing. lol
First Week
The first few days of my new grad nurse internship were filled with boring orientation lectures and discussions about charting that went right over my head.
I feel simultaneously overwhelmed, excited, scared, and in total denial that this is real.
I still have a few more weeks before I hit the floor of the ICU, but it is going to be crazy!!!
Welp....
I got my license!!
My internship class at my new hospital is 18 other girls. There is nothing wrong with an all girl class, but I'm just bummed there's not more gender diversity. I love working with my male nurse counterparts.
le sigh.
I can't complain... I got into one of the top internships in the country.
I just still cannot believe it's going to be all girls!
Waiting...
Passed my board exams and now I wait for the license.... all this waiting is going to give me heart palpitations, but the job is happening in two weeks.
The countdown begins!
