I have a lot of respect for Serizawa as a dramatization of the very real issue many people have of self-isolation. No one was forcing Serizawa to stay in his room all those years; it was a scary situation he needed out of but also a prison of his own creation made by his fear of hurting and burdening others. Blame was never shifted onto anyone else because it wasn't anyone else's fault, and he was never presented as this poor little guy who needed endless pity. He's a human being who, with the support of others and lots of hard work, stepped out was finally able to stop holding himself back. And it was a huge victory! What he needed was support and kindness, never pity. And he got it because he decided to find out what the world had to offer. Was he going to hurt people? Maybe. Was he going to find lovely people and a place where he belonged? Maybe. That's just how life goes. He didn't know, and neither do you or I.

"The world and all the people in it are big and scary and unpredictable. How cool is that? How amazing is it that amidst all that there are good people who want you around, and you can be one of those good people" Serizawa says from the dim confines of my closet. I spritz him with roach killer to get him out. I spritz all inside my closet like air freshener for good measure because I'm mad about how long I spent writing and rewriting this post.

Neanderthal DNA Deep in Human Genes:  People of Asian and European descent, almost anyone with origins outside of Africa, - have inherited a sliver of DNA from the Neanderthals - some of them may protect modern humans against infections.  Yea, well I just had my DNA tested by 23 and Me and to say my family has Neanderthal genes would apparently be giving us an upgrade.  In fact, they sent me what was basically an apology letter saying “sorry, but we have no idea where the hell any of the crap we found in your lineage comes from.  May you and your family find comfort in the fact that the statutes of limitations don’t go back 10,000 years.”

Lawsuit Claims LaCroix Beverages Contain Cockroach Poison:  The makers of the wildly popular sparkling water LaCroix, which has become a phenomenon over the past year, were hit with a lawsuit alleging the beverage contains "non-natural flavorings," including an ingredient said to be used as a "cockroach insecticide.”  And that my friends, is exactly why I still do most of my drinking right out of the garden hose.

Google to Shut Down Google+:  Google announced they are going to shut down the consumer version of Google+ over the next 10 months.  While you always hate to see businesses closing, I suppose they made the right decision considering all the people across the country who are asking “and what the hell is Google+?”

GEMSONA AU? IN MY 2025?

yeup! this time of my roach killer band guys. the most functional group of individuals homeworld has ever seen!

some SU/fangem exploration for the Roach Killer band kids me and my friend have been playing with. a bit of personal lore, but I used to be HUUUUGE on SU. made gemsonas my whole brand for years and adored the series and fandom! met so many wonderful friends I cherish to this day because of it. and reconnecting with my dormant interest… IS AWESOME!!!

for this AU, I’ll list some lore below. subject to change as it’s still new hehe.

a royal transporter for blue diamond. hauls special cargo and chauffeurs elite gems in his own personal spacecraft.

a tier above quartzes. is granted access to high-level areas to some extent due to his occupation.

another quartz soldier under yellow diamond. saved by hematoid post-war and since then serves as hematoid’s second-in-command. they go way back!

with that being said, the two tend to butt heads.
