Unlicensed vehicle rebel
Now there’s something you won’t see on an American Interstate.
Road Hazard
* Hey was just wondering if you have written the imagine where stiles is protective of his jeep and doesn't let anyone drive it but let's you drive it and is a backseat driver (humor) it's ok if you have not gotten to it yet just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it! (:*
You were in love. Everyone knew it. When Lydia had found out it took all her restraint to keep from rolling her eyes and berating you for your “clearly misinformed choices”, okay so she didn’t restrain herself. The whole pack thought you’d gone insane. But you couldn’t help your feelings.
“I love you, more than I’ve ever loved anything.” You were practically swooning.
“(Y/N), I don’t like to feel like the third wheel to my own car.” Stiles’ voice was heavy with sarcasm but he was still smiling. You stopped stroking the magnificent blue car to give him a withering look. “You know the only reason I’m letting you drive this thing is because I think you might almost love it more than I do.”
You eyes turning back to the glorious jeep beside you. No one could really figure out why you were in love with it, but neither did you. But every time you saw it, you were just filled with love and admiration. You couldn’t help it or explain it, but you liked it that way.
“Gimme, gimme, gimme.” You looked at Stiles hungrily, your fingers itching for the keys.
He dangles them in front of you, but lifts them out of your reach as you snatch at them. “Now, remember. I want both me and my jeep to make it out of this alive.”
“Yeah sure, I promise the jeep will make it out of this alive.” You rolled your eyes, your fingers closing around the keys and sliding into the driver’s seat. It just felt right.
“Hey,” Stiles gave you a pointed look as he slide into the passenger’s seat, “Don’t think I didn’t notice the distinction.”.
Your fingers curling around the steering wheel, you smiled.
Stiles’ fingers were gripping at whatever he could, knuckles turning white. You’re giggling maniacally, or maybe hysterically.
“Why are you laughing? Is this part of some evil plan? Am I going to die?” You stole a look at Stiles. “Don’t look at me, look at the road! I know I’m gorgeous but I’d like to live.”
“Geez, Stiles, calm down. I’m doing fine. Everyone’s alive.” You jerked the wheel to the right, taking the corner maybe just a little faster than you should have.
“Tell that to the turtle you ran over.” Stiles yelled. Was he making a cross sign?
You rolled your eyes. “Yes, Stiles, I ran over the turtle. I didn’t actually hit it.”
You made a few more questionable road maneuvers. “No, no, that’s it. Pull over.” Your eyes flickered to Stiles, he looked like he was going to throw up.
You jerked the wheel and pulled up on the side of the road. He leaned over and stole the key from the ignition. He was taking deep, controlled breaths and you stared at him. Really stared at him and then you looked at the broken down but beautiful jeep you sat in. And maybe something clicked and maybe it finally made a little bit of sense.
“You know I love this car.” You finally broke the silence between you.
He sighed, exasperated. “Well, gee, you might want to act like it. My poor baby nearly died today.”
“I think I love it because it’s just so totally you, Stiles. I think I love you.” You didn’t look at him, but you knew he was staring at you, eye popping out of his head. You undid your seat belt and turned to look at him, you smiled. There was no expectations in your eyes, it was just a smile. “Okay Stiles, you can take me home now.”
You jumped out of the car, leaving Stiles still speechless and a little bewildered.
