Something about the #RoadToGlenorchy always makes me hungry. With only 2.5 restaurants open for dinner in #Glenorchy, the Glenorchy Hotel is the only good choice. Good #TexMex is hard to find in New Zealand, but this pile of #nachos is better than most. I love the real melted cheese baked onto seasoned corn chips, with meat that doesn’t contain too many beans, sour cream, guacamole, fresh diced tomatoes (super rare in NZ winter), diced onions, and an interesting twist with fresh diced cucumbers. I’ve traveled this #RoadToGlenorchy many times but never stopped here. There’s so many lookouts that don’t really go anywhere, I never expected this one to open up to full beach access with an amazing view of the #mountainPeaks at the end of #LakeWakatipu. The only problem with the #RoadToGlenorchy is the #sunset is only visible in your rearview mirror on the way home.
