Listen, I don't know who this Emet Selch guy is, I don't play FFXIV. But I know a lot of players love him, so please forgive me this question.

is he supposed to sound like a dweeb intentionally

like, not when he speaks regularly, there he has a slightly effete british accent which, honestly, I get

but when Roath gets animated or upset he doesn't sound like you would imagine the Devil would sound: raging, imperious, darkly majestic

He sounds like a nerd being pushed into a locker, or whatever it is they do in posh british schools. Confined within a refectory?

and I don't know if that's a voice acting direction the VA got for that particular role or if that is just what he sounds like period

and if it's the latter, it honestly baffles me why so many people seem to be into him when his animated voice brings to mind the son of a duke who smashed his crumpets in anger when he didn't get his fifth pony this summer

The Captain R.F Scott Memorial Lighthouse & Clocktower in Roath Park in Cardiff.

The Memorial was built in 1914 with a dedication to Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Captain Lawrence Edward Grace Oates and the rest of the crew who died during the Terra Nova Expedition also known as the British Antarctic Expedition.

What a treat to experience the fine dining of @mabin.eatery yesterday evening at their new Supper Club. Scroll through my photos of the 5 tasty courses we devoured; Brushetta si Caponata & Spiced nuts, Summer Frittata with Salsa Rubra and Garden Salad, Slow Cooked Curried Mutton, New Potatoes with Seasonal Greens and Garlic Chilli Butter, Caramel and Nut Biscuit Tiffin with Strawberry Compote and Hung Yoghurt, and as a finale, Tomino with Oat Crumb and Welsh Honey. It’s not a restaurant takeaway service, it’s something a bit more special and collaborative than that as all dishes needed either simple final preparation or plating up, which was creative and fun! Each course was paired with a perfect drink suggestion, it had all the elegance of a fine dining experience. The best bit (apart from the textures and flavours), was knowing the chefs who had created such wonderful food sourced all their high quality ingredients from local producers and growers.
