Let me be frank ...
I don’t care what critics say. I never have. I’ve spent the majority of my life liking and disliking art and entertainment based on my own personal perspectives and interpretations that often goes against whatever the majority thinks about a creative work. Whether it’s a painting, a play or a poem, I’ve always thought for myself, and I’ve been more than happy to stand alone in my love and appreciation (or contempt and disdain) for a creative work or concept.
So when I share this critics’ response to Zack Snyder’s Justice League below, I’m not turning my back on my lifelong tradition of not giving a damn. I’m simply sharing something positive about Snyder’s work, which I believe for the past 8 years has been unnaturally maligned by simpletons, haters, and those who refuse to evolve in a world that continues to evolve without them.
Although my opinion is the ultimate one that matters to me, I’m happy to see Snyder get the kudos he deserves. I know there are still haters and folks determined to try and harass everyone into joining their cult of the un-evolved. I can’t fix those people. Any more than I can fix people who still support Trump or think that being queer is a choice.
The best I can do is ignore them and not give them any of my divine energy. But most days, I opt to mock them because no one is their best every day.
