HACKED EMAILS SHOW that movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, a longtime ally of Hillary Clinton and a major fundraiser for her 2016 campaign, urged her campaign team to silence rival Bernie Sanders’s message against police shootings of African-Americans. The Weinstein emails were among a large number of messages DCLeaks made public on Thursday, from the gmail account of Capricia Marshall, a close Clinton confidant who worked for her in the White House and the State Department, and worked on her 2008 campaign. In an April 10  email sent to Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook, just days before the New York primary, Weinstein invited Mook to meet up. He pointed to a Sanders ad featuring Erica Garner—the daughter of Eric Garner, who was killed by New York City police officers—as well as growing support for Sanders among Latino activist leaders. Weinstein wrote: “They’re going to hit you hard in the African-American community, and they have a lot of Latino deputies. I’m probably telling you what you know already, but that needs to be silenced, probably with the Sandy Hook issue.” Mook wrote back replying to Weinstein’s offer to meet up and discuss strategy: “Are you kidding? Let’s do it! I’m here all week. Would tomorrow or Tuesday work?”

Clinton, Romney campaign managers unite to fight election hacking

A bipartisan project is crafting tools and strategies to protect US elections against cyberattacks.

Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center has launched Defending Digital Democracy, a bipartisan effort to offer technology, strategies and other tools that can protect against election-oriented cyberattacks. And when they say it's an across-the-aisle effort, they mean it. 

Campaign managers, Robby Mook for former presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Matt Rhoades for Mitt Romney will help lead the group, as will

Heather Adkins - Director, Information Security, Google

Dmitri Alperovitch - Co-founder and CTO, Crowdstrike

The head of the group is Eric Rosenbach, who was Chief of Staff to recent Defense Secretary Ash Carter.

BREAKING: Top Hillary Advisor Says Trump Aides Should Be ‘Tried For Treason’ For This. Agree?

We found out yesterday that the FBI is investigating the Trump administration for its contacts with Russia during the election campaign.  Robby Mook, a top Hillary Clinton advisor, thinks the FBI should go further and charge Trump aides with treason.

FBI Director James Comey went to Capitol Hill yesterday to testify about Trump’s ties with Russia as well as Trump’s wiretapping claim. According to The Hill, Hillary Clinton’s former campaign manager Mook had some harsh words for Trump’s aides.

Mook said he was glad that Comey was speaking about these issues before the House Intelligence Committee. He feels that Americans need to know what went on between the Trump campaign and the Russians.

“We need to find out exactly what happened,” Mook wrote in an email. “If US campaign aides helped the Russians, knew about the Russians plans, or asked the Russians to intervene in any way, they should be prosecuted for treason and measures should be put in place to make sure this never happens again.”

Mook also said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was out to get Hillary Clinton for standing up to his regime. Putin wanted someone in the White House that wouldn’t regard Russia as a threat.

Mook wrote, “He was punishing her for actions she took on behalf of the American people as our Secretary of State.” According to Mook, Putin wanted to get revenge on Clinton for challenging his plans for the world.

Mook also warned that the Russian interference in our election sets a dangerous precedent. It could embolden other countries to interfere with US affairs as well. 

Mook wrote, “If we allow this practice to continue, Russia and other foreign nations could have a dangerously powerful influence on our legislative and executive branches.”

“We complain all the time about the influence of super PACs and campaign donations in our politics, which are real, because they punish officials who act contrary to their interests,” Mook continued. ”Now, foreign powers are attempting to gain a similar influence and they must be stopped.”

Mook is right, the FBI must conclude its investigation as quickly as possible. It’s quite possible that Trump and his team coordinated with the Russian government to steal the election from Clinton.

That means we have a Russian puppet in the White House. Furthermore, Trump’s behavior towards Russia and Putin certainly supports this possibility.

Trump’s been reluctant to call out Putin for his lies and political murders. He says he respects Putin and says that the US is just as murderous as Russia.

Now there’s circumstantial evidence that Trump and his Team colluded with Putin and Russia to win the election. Comey and his team must work fast to find any proof of this allegation.

Then the FBI must charge Trump’s cronies with treason if they worked with Russia. Trump should be impeached and charged as well.
