playing subnautica below zero again and i REALLY think if we ever get new digimon adventure content (the original series not the reboot), they should get al-an's voice actor (matthew marsh) to voice wizardmon (since robert axelrod is sadly departed). such a charming, calm-yet-chipper older man voice.
Remembering Robert Axelrod
Today marks 5 years since we lost talented voice actor Robert Axelrod.
Robert will be best and fondly remembered as the voices of Finster and Lord Zed in Power Rangers. He also provided the voice for several of the monsters.
He also provided the voices of Wizardmon and Armadillomon in Digimon.
Robert loved meeting his fans and was extremely popular at conventions where he would recite lines in the voice of Lord Zedd as well as his other characters.
He's deeply missed.
I could have drawn a really cool fight picture between them but instead I offer a shitpost because Lord Zedd was so like this, no one can tell me otherwise.
I hope they've given Zedd back some dignity in the recent comics. There was a lot of wasted potential in that character.

He was primarily known for his voice work, which included Digimon,having started voice acting for the English-language versions of anime in 1980;providing the voice of Lord Zedd, the main antagonist of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers; and Finster, the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers monster maker.
