In memory of Robert Brock. 1997 - 2018

Known to the internet as Wertpol (the game developer behind the games of Exoptable Money, Presentable Liberty, Olson’s Journey, and Professor Eagle Eye), Robert’s works were an inspiration to many people. May he rest in peace.

I’m not sure how to feel about this so I think it would be the best to write about it. I discovered that a video game developer I looked up to took his own life seven months ago. It’s quite shocking to only find out now that he died, whilst I did not knew him personally I still feels, numb about it.

Presentable Liberty, one of his more popular indie games I know about was from my perspective brilliant, it did not need wonderful real life like graphics to tell its story and made you feel emotions.

@wertpol Robert, wherever you are right now I hope you’re doing good, you inspired many and the legacy you gave you will be passed on.
