Only one out of the two Preppies I use is an eyedropper--that’s the one with Noodler’s BS in Australian Roses. I unfortunately haven’t used it extensively, so my answer’s a little inaccurate, but when filling it up, I stop just before I hit the threads in the barrel. Currently if I point the pen nib-down, the ink level is about an inch below the back end of the pen, if that makes sense. 

I haven’t heard of that happening with Preppy eyedroppers, that sucks :\ I only wish I had a solution for you!

Question: Is reverse writing with fountain pens a bad idea, or a terribly bad idea?

Or neither? 

I started doing this recently for my notetaking because it’s easier to rotate the pen to the backside rather than switch it out for one with a finer nib. Any chances of long-term damage, if I use relatively light pressure when doing so and only for little sidebar notes?
