An ex-#WashingtonFootballTeam #quarterback is releasing a book detailing the #sexualharassment he had faced during his time on the team. #RobertGriffinIII, 31, had announced that the book '#SurvivingWashington' - which is set to be released in August 2022- will detail his experiences in 'one of the most dysfunctional franchises in all of sports' in a Twitter video on Wednesday. The book is said to detail events relating to medical mismanagement, sexual harassment, and the power struggles in the organization during his time playing for the team between 2012 and 2014. No further details on the incidents of harassment that Griffin alleges have yet been shared. In the video, Griffin had announced the title and release date of the book as well as going into detail on what it would be about. 'I’m going to tell you the truth about what happened in that playoff game in (2013) against Seattle,' Griffin said. 'I’m going to detail the medical mismanagement that I received during my time in #Washington. 'I’m going to open your eyes to the sexual harassment that permeated the walls of that building, and give you a deep dive into a power struggle between one of the most powerful coaches in all of sports and an owner that many of you want gone. 'They say, 'The truth will set you free,' so here it is, unfiltered.' Griffin and his wife Grete have confirmed that the book will be detailing his own personal experiences with sexual harassment, rather than the other accusations that have surfaced against team owner Dan Snyder and former members of the organization. 'Let’s clear up a misconception about ‘Surviving Washington’,' Grete Griffin tweeted on Wednesday. 'In the book, Robert is not talking about other peoples experiences with sexual harassment in Washington. He is talking about his OWN experience with sexual harassment in Washington.' Griffin also tweeted about the sexual harassment experiences as being his own and why he had waited so long to come out about it. 'Sexual harassment victims should share their stories when they are ready not when you want them to,' Griffin tweeted.
