I imagine Captain Marvel being Damian's friend would be Bruce's worst nightmare because Captain Marvel keeps giving Damian animals to take care of under the guise of it being fron the Gods or something.
'The manor is not a zoo, please take the cow, we already have four' - Bruce probably after seeing another cow on the lawn. He nearly has an aneurysm after seeing a three headed dog pounce on Damian.
I feel like the issue wouldn't be Cap dropping off animals to Damian. It would be him taking Damian on adventures and then Damian bringing animals back with him.
Billy, of course, is very used to having no parents, if he can take care of an animal and feed it properly then he'll take it. That is the only thought in his mind when he helps Damian smuggle in another animal. Of course Damian solidified this thought "im rich William, of course I can take ample care of these animals, they need help and are likely to die or lead a poor lives in their natural environment and thus we must intervene"
Billy just believes Damian fully, cause yeah, if he had the money and the space to take as many animals as he could then he'd do it.
Of course he didnt mean to let Damian take home one of cerberus' pups. But Billy went to meet with Hades and Persephone, he thought it would be fun to being along Damian. Persephone and Damian got to talking about environmental sustainability efforts and protections to sacred environments, so of course Persephone took a shinning to Damian. And well she introduced him to cerberus' litter and he loved them so much, so she gifted one to him.
And father he can't disrespect a goddess by not accepting her gift.
my brain is all over the place....... damian older and younger self switches places story bc i wanted an excuse for something of a character study fic wip anyone?
“You grow quite a bit, don’t you,” the man notes, arms crossing as he took in details about the boy.
Damian hums with a nod. “I am only 15.”
Richard turns back towards the computer, moving to scan Damian for anything important.
“Not growing as much as you hope?” His tone was light.
Damian scoffs, cape falling behind him to cross his arms. “I’m still growing.”
“Not coming at me with your sword?” Richard sighs, Damian can see he’s eyeing the changes Damian had made to the suit. Further beyond what he did -- well, now. “How times have changed.”
Damian stands still for the scan, letting the blue scanner cast over him and letting the computer program work. Richard sighs, hand moving to his chin in thought.
“If you are 15, then you’ve been sent back about five or six years…”
Damian’s eyes don’t go wide… per se… but he does look around the cave, taking it in. Older machinery that has since been replaced a while ago is still standing in the corner. He knows it been replaced because he was the one to break the damn thing. He can see in the distance that Todd’s uniform display case is still damaged, that was fixed when Father had gotten back. His brain catalogues the old and the new.
“I’ve been sent back…” his voice drifts off as he moves to the computer, taking in the date at the top of the screen. Five years prior to the last date he looked at. “Shit.”
“Robin,” Dick’s voice is stern before he makes a strange noise. The man tenses again, Damian doesn’t remember him being this tense. Then again, perhaps now he’s just paying attention. “Sorry.”
“Do not worry about it, Richard,” the youngest Robin speaks before thinking while staring at the computer. He grits his teeth at the foolish slip, since he can’t truly remember when Richard and himself had grown closer. Had he been anyone else he would wince. “You’ve scolded me for much worse.”
The man before him hums, surely taking in Damian’s slip.
Damian finds that he misses his brother, even if the man is standing in front of him.

──── Damian Wayne x Thief!Reader. 934 words.
Part one here.
He had let you go. You escaped thanks to him, he didn't use violence, he didn't chase you, he didn't send you to the police. He let you go, he easily let you go with all those bills of your goal. Why? Why did you have to steal his heart?
He can't think about that, not when it's about you. You are a criminal, he should put you behind bars. But he knows he can't, and you know it too.
“You haven't been stealing in a while, fleabag.” Damian spoke coldly as he watched you approach a window that you silently opened of the jewelry store, preventing you from even entering.
His eyes look at you penetratingly, analyzing your every move. Is it attraction you feel? He can't feel that, not with a thief like you. He is Robin, he is a hero, not a hypocrite like Batman.
You turn around, seeing the young man in the Robin costume behind you. You sigh with disapproval and descend from the window that you failed to interrupt, landing on the ground.
“Oh, my bad.” You say, with a hint of sarcasm, as you leans towards the boy, attentively. “I returned to action because I knew you would come, little bird.”
His eyes watched you and studied you for a few moments, his gaze was curious, but he continued to hide it. “Were you waiting for me?” Damian asked calmly, the smile on his face becoming more subtle but more threatening, he didn’t trust someone like you.
“Yes, I was waiting for you.” You said as you walked until you were in front of him, as if you were challenging him to a duel, as if you weren't afraid of him. Because you know that, despite his attempts to catch you, he will never dare let you go to the police. This is a game that will only continue if he lets you get away with the robbery with dirty hands.
“You know, you really should leave the stealing for people.” Damian said with a confident tone. But his curiosity was winning over him.
The young hero enjoyed the fact that, despite his best efforts, the thief could escape his watchful gaze, and that the more he thought about you, the less sense it made. You seemed like the type of character he would despise the most, yet something drew him towards you, sending shivers down his spine.
“Nah, It's obvious you adore me, admit it.” You smirked at him. “You can't get bored of me.”
“You’re wrong, cat.” Damian said, looking at you intently, his words sounded cold and harsh. Damian’s voice had completely changed when he addressed you directly. He seemed unapproachable and intimidating, yet something else lurked beneath his gaze. Perhaps the little thief wasn’t as bad as he thought.
As if he couldn't do anything else but look into your eyes, he was hypnotized by their color beauty. He wanted to look away, but something about them was calling his name. He was confused, but he liked it.
“Ah, is that so?” You smile as he took a step closer to Damian, who remained still in his same spot, not moving. Damian stares at you. He watches your movements, and it seems to him that you are doing it on purpose to make him feel jealous, to make him lose your concentration. He's not sure, but the little smile on your face is adorable. “Your mouth says one thing, but your mind says another.”
He tried to hide his attraction, and failed miserably. His heart was racing as he got closer to you, his movements becoming slower. For a moment, he wondered what it would be like to kiss you, to hold you in his arms. The idea was so appealing, so strange…
“Don't think you can trick me, cat,” Damian said, calmly, barely moving a muscle. There was nothing he wanted more than to kiss you, he couldn't deny that his heart was beating at a furious pace. He wanted to do something more than just kiss you and let you go.
“How does this game end? Does the thief finally get captured and sent to the police, or does the criminal escape with the hero's heart?”
“Why don’t we find out?” You leaned closer, your breaths touching the other's face with an intoxicating softness. Damian's mind was bursting with questions, were you doing that to distract him? Or was this a real scene, beneath the veil of crime alley?
His body trembled, and he felt his heart beating wildly. You were beautiful as you leaned forward, closer to him. The heat of your breath was something else, that was it, he couldn't resist you anymore.
Damian’s heart raced, he closed his eyes and captured your lips with his own. He moved his hands to your hair and let himself go, kissing you passionately, he could no longer hold back, and that scared him. His feelings for you were real, and they weren't supposed to be.
You had captured him without even realizing it, you had conquered his heart. He knew this was wrong, so wrong, but it felt so damn right. The feeling was new to him, he never felt this way for anyone. Was there something more? Was it possible that he really liked you?
Damian opened his eyes slightly, looking at you, damn. He was doing what he swore he would never do. He was letting the thief steal his heart.
“You know what they say, little birds like you aren't too hard to catch.”
thinkin' about the Robin boys. & then I'm thinkin' about high fantasy.
Father!Todd in that AU being a 6'2", well-built cleric--
Talon!Dick as a Neutral Evil Rogue who's only with the others bc he got tired of following the Owls' rules & desertion means death--
Tim Drake & Timothy Hunter get Jamba Juice'd into a Wizard!Tim. Yay for AUs--
Damian's officially just in training still, but he's of noble birth. & he seeks adventure, because who wouldn't?--
super empathetic tall boy meets stabby kill-for-hire dude meets tired/stressed out Harry Potter-ish guy meets eager violent kid who speaks Shakespearean & kills like a road outlaw
I love how everyone in the Batman/Bat-Family Fandom is all up in arms over how much Dick is or is not a playboy. Like yes, he has the greatest gluteus maximus in all of comics (no I am not taking arguments you're wrong and I'm that I'm not sorry that you're wrong.) and DC Comics shown to be having 0 signs of slowing down in terms of sexualizing him.
But at the end of the day the one person in the entire Bat-Family you could call a player is freaking Timothy Jackson Drake. Yes, this fandom's sweet uwu string bean is the playboy of the family. Don't believe me?
Cassie Sandsmark
Stephanie Brown
Bernard Dowd
And Barbara Gordon (Thank the GODS there's no official art because Arkham Universe deciding to turn Tim into a body double for Jason Todd with a military buzz cut is a choice. And not a good choice. As well as the ship of Barbara x Tim just being made exclusively to piss off everyone in this fandom at once.)
We often tend to push Tim's sexuality to the side just because DC Comic's wacky zany age-scaling system. Like Tim has been 16-19 for decades now, but we don't acknowledge a lot that Tim is a very attractive young man. And DC isn't 100% sexualizing him.
Hell, even Belèn Ortega, the artist for the comic where Tim came out, didn't shy away from making Tim very attractive, muscular, and handsome. (Also if I could give anything to ensure that Belèn Ortega stays the artist for Tim I absolutely would.)
Now I'm not here to try to advocate for sexual objectification as a bad thing. Part of comics themselves as a whole and comic book culture has a way of us romanticizing and sexualizing things that aren't explicitly meant to be sexual. But I'm saying more of the fandom should be on the Tim Drake fan train. Especially since more of the recent continuities establish him as being at the youngest 18 and either in/dropped out of college. Hell, just in general, Tim deserves more attention of how attractive he is.
