you should've known better than to drink on the island with zoro who could drink multiple bottles and hardly be tipsy whereas you drink one and you're on the floor passed out. but, he kept insisting that you needed a reliever, so you listened and went with him. the bar was decent, not a lot of people which you liked, and the drinks were better than you expected. the only downside was the fact zoro kept ordering more rounds for you both, which left you where you are now, stumbling beside him trying to find your way back to the boat.
“do you even know where we're going?” you asked the male, words slurring together as you spoke.
“not a damn clue,” zoro answered, almost falling onto you.
“hey, don't fall on me! i won't be able to drag your ass back to the boat!” you pushed him a little bit.
“are you calling me fat?!” he exclaimed.
“what?! i never said that!” you retorted loudly.
“you did!”
“did not!”
“did!”
“not!”
you pushed zoro again, except this time, you lost your balance in the process and was about to fall face first into the ground until you didn't. you were waiting for the impact that never came, and at first you thought somehow, zoro caught you. but, when you looked up to see who actually did, a smile instantly pulled at your lips.
“robin! you saved me!” you said happily.
“haven't i told you to not go drinking with zoro when we reach an island?” robin asked, pulling you back up to your feet.
“oh it's just one time! i’m completely fine! right zoro?” you responded, turning to look at zoro who was now gone.
“you could hurt yourself, you know,” robin told you.
“but thankfully you were here to save me!” you smiled still, stumbling over your own feet while trying to remain standing still.
one of robin’s hands moved to your waist to steady you in place, noticing your stumbles as she shook her head, “let's head back to the ship,” she said.
“aw fine,” you pouted, starting to walk only to stumble around again.
robin caught you, again, and pulled you closer to her with one of her hands so she could make sure you wouldn't fall. you looked up at her as she led you back to the boat, smiling.
“i’m so glad you stuck around,” you told her randomly.
robin looked down at you with confusion, “what do you mean?” she asked.
“i mean i’m glad you decided to stay with us. i know we can be a handful, but i’m happy you stayed,” you answered, one of your hands reaching for her other free one.
you've had a crush on robin for a while now, but never said anything out of fear despite nami constantly insisting that it would work out fine. little did you know that robin felt the same way and was also struggling with poor nami trying to convince one of you to just confess to the other.
“i’m happy i did too,” robin smiled down at you, watching you fiddle with her hand.
“have i ever told you how you're my favorite?” you said, “but don't tell sanji, he thinks he is.”
one of her eyebrows raised at your words, not being able to tell if this was the truth and was now coming to the surface because of the alcohol, or if it was strictly the alcohol in general. “am i?” she asked.
“yep!” you nodded. “you've always been my favorite since i've met you! i've never told you because of me being a coward even with nami saying that it would be fine but i couldn't! it's just- you're so pretty and i could never stand a chance so i never said anything! i mean, even zoro saw through me earlier tonight! i’m doomed!” you ranted slightly, not entirely realizing what you were saying as you looked down at her hand in yours.
robin suddenly stopped walking, her arm stopping you as well as she looked down at you. “y/n, do you have feelings for me?” she asked.
the look on your face as she asked that question was almost amusing at how you looked like a deer caught in headlights. “oh, well, uhm, i uh, well, yes,” you answered, now feeling dead sober. “oh my gosh i just fucked this up, didn't i?” you asked aloud.
“you didn't mess anything up,” robin said, both of her hands now holding your face. “i have feelings for you too, y/n.” she smiled at you.
now your face looked shocked, “you do?” you asked.
“yes,” she nodded. “i have for a while, and was also speaking with nami on the matter.”
“really?” you asked again, not believing it was true.
robin let out a chuckle and nodded again, “yes,” she told you.
there was a silence that filled around the two of you, and you looked at her with a small smile growing on your face. “can i kiss you?” you asked her.
she didn't reply, but instead leaned forward and kissed you first. your smile instantly grew as you kissed back, your hands moving to wrap around her neck when she pulled away.
“shall we head back to the ship now?” robin asked you.
“if i get to sleep in your bed with you,” you answered.
“of course,” she nodded.
“then yes! let's go back!” you said happily, pointing to the direction of the docks.
robin chuckled and held onto your hand while beginning to walk again towards the ship with you following right beside her with a bright smile on your face.
when the two of you made it back to the ship, somehow zoro found his way back and was already sleeping. nami was awake when she saw you two get on the ship, immediately seeing your hands holding onto each other and she gave a thumbs up with a small smile to robin who was taking you to her room on the boat.
you immediately laid on the bed once you saw it, still smiling lightly as robin situated herself next to you on the bed, looking over at you. you glanced over at her and rolled over onto your side, smiling at her.
“so, does this mean we're like, together now?” you asked her.
“if that's what you want, then sure,” she nodded.
“of course that's what i want,” you told her.
“then we are,” she said, kissing your forehead.
robin then turned the light off and looked back at you, “good night,”
when you didn't respond, she knew you had already fallen asleep and let out a chuckle. she pulled the blanket onto you both and rested her head on the pillow, smiling at your sleeping figure. she could hardly believe this somehow worked, but she was happy that it did. it meant neither of you would have to worry and stress about the other possibly not feeling the same. and that was nice. also for nami to not have to deal with watching you two struggling the whole time. that was also nice for her.
