Resource list for mental health:
The Quabble app – free to download and a free trial of a few days/a week, after which there are two options: subscription (relatively cheap for all that it offers) OR a Quabble "scholarship" where if you use the app enough times a month then a charity sponsors your use of the app. It has routines, grounding and breathing exercises, diaries, and a cute duck buddy! Completing the exercises gives you rewards so you can spoil your duck. I would highly recommend it.
This website – a flowchart to help get you started when you feel stuck. It takes you through physical and emotional issues that might be making you feel down, breaks down steps into something a lot more manageable. I've used it more times than I can count, and it has almost always helped. Even when it doesn't motivate me to do more, it still means that I've taken care of myself in some way.
Dubbii – this is especially good if you struggle with ADHD and executive function. It does require a subscription fee, but it is still relatively cheap, and since the app is designed for people with ADHD, it sends a reminder before the subscription is due again so that you can cancel it if needed. It has videos that break down the steps of a task and shows someone doing it along side you, and options to have the video without the steps and either music or just silence.
Childline – this is UK based specifically, but a very important one. It provides an abundance of resources of its own for anyone under the age of 25 (I think? It will say on the website), largely aimed at children and teenagers. It has free, anynoumous counselling, both over the phone and via message. The messages take (usually) less than 48hrs to receive a response and are very helpful and encouraging. They have their own specific safeguarding policy regarding children that you may want to read first.
Samaritans – this can be a tricky one. Some people really like them, some people really don't. Either way, they do provide help for people. They have a phone number that can be called if you need someone to talk to about depressive thoughts.
This is only a very small list, but these are the ones I've found to be most helpful, and I may add to this in the future (anyone else is welcome to as well).
Good luck, and keep looking after yourselves! Remember, I'm always here if you need it too!!
