Summary: Dick and Jinx have a little fun at the ice rink. He may or may not have rented it out.

A/N: This was totally not inspired by determinedleader. Not at all. In the least. And I am totally lying, I literally went through Connie’s robjinx stuff to get inspired and, whelp, here I am! Thank you, for making me completely succumbed to this ship. The title is named after 7/11, by Beyonce.

And, okay, I kinda caved with the raex. Yes. It’s implied.

PREVIEW:

She’s actually kinda cute, he thinks, the way she shows off on the ice. Pearly white teeth bare their all to him as she turns swiftly, coming to a smooth stop, hip jutted out in pure smugness. The sheet of white beneath her is a sharp contrast to her mocha features, her long black hair matted down by the skull cap she wears. For once, his focus isn’t on his homework ( or his adoptive father and the whole ‘family business’ thing ), but on her instead.

“Well?” Gloved hands on hips, she gazes at him expectantly. Okay, so maybe he’s been watching her since they got there. So what if he wants to enjoy the view for a little longer?

His blue eyes twinkled in the lighting, eyebrow arching. “Well, what?”

Jinx rolls her eyes and pushes herself forward, holding her hands out for him. “C’mon, hair gel.”

“Do you really wanna start with the nicknames?” Dick chuckles, wrapping his fingers around hers, and he lets her pull him forward as she skates backwards. They lock gazes, aquamarine on amethyst, and for a moment they just roll.

“Wanna show me what you got?” She’s challenging him and teasing him at the same time, their noses grazing. He barks a laugh, gaze narrowing from their close proximity. Fights a blush. He maintains his composure, however, with his growing desire to show off.

“You sure you wanna go there with me?” he grins.

“I just. Did.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah.”

“Okay. I mean, if you insist --” And then he’s backing away from her ( swish, swish, swoop ), feeling himself smirk confidently. She’s beauty, she’s grace, ( she’ll punch him in the face ) sure. But, well, let’s face it -- he can so do it better. The protege pauses for dramatic effect before he’s moving, racing around the rink, and it’s almost like he’s dancing. He moves his arms and legs with expertise, rocks his hips, and throws a wink at her when their eyes meet on a hop and turn. He doesn’t get dizzy, in fact it’s how he ends his little performance. He bends his knees as he prepares himself for the mighty jump in the middle of the rink and throws himself up, beginning to twist his body. He lands and does not slip, and he continues to spin, faster and faster and faster, and by the time he stops he strikes a defensive fighting pose and flashes a cocky grin at her.

He wishes he could have gotten his phone out in time to take a picture because the look on her face is priceless ( and again with the cute ).

“You’re right. ‘S not as fun as when you’re alone.” He offers her a hand, and she giggles before she skates over to him, and their fingers lace together.

This time when they move, they move together and in synch. Starting off with a simple skate hand-in-hand ( left, right, left right, sway, sway ), Dick feels his lips quirking up as he looks at her and she’s looking at him in the same way. It’s not often that he can be so comfortable with someone ( really, he only has four true friends, and upon first glance you’d think they’d all be an unlikely bunch. Seriously. Ask somebody. ), but he’s glad he had opened up to her when he did.

He doesn’t recognize the tune of the song that comes on right then, but she does, by the way she automatically begins to shimmy. And, okay, so maybe he starts to wiggle too ( because he possibly may know a thing or two that’s not martial arts, the whole cute factor, and because no one else is in the rink but the two of them and there’s no way he’d do this in public unless she a) convinces him to otherwise or b) he’d have to be partially intoxicated. He’s okay with either option. ) She switches hands on him only to grab his free one and brings his arms around her, then back again. He follows suit, swinging her out and pulling her back in. His hands find their way down to her hips and squeeze her playfully, affectionately, and lets her skate in front of him for a while. She’s singing along to the song now and he bobs his head, eyes roaming around the rink ( to keep an eye out just in case anyone came crashing in ) before they fall on her dancing figure.

She looks up at him over her shoulder and grins before her lips purse as she shakes her hips, and he mirrors her. He’s having fun, and he may look like a doofus, but he really could care less.

“Wanna grab pizza after this?” he queries as they make a swift turn.

“Sure,” she replies in a synchronous twist and hip thrust. “I’m actually getting kinda hungry.”

“We can head back to my place.”

“Sounds like a plan.”

“Netflix?”

“Netflix.”

“What’re you in the mood for?”

“Something action-y. None of that romcom shit.”

“I thought Kori made you watch those with her?”

“She does. I can’t say no when she gives me the puppy dog eyes.”

Dick snickers. “That’s Kori for you.”

“At least Raven’s there to keep me sane…” An eyebrow arches on her end as she looks over at him. “Ever heard of Lost Girl?”

“What’s Lost Girl?”

Jinx smirks. “Oh lemme tell ya…”

They lay together in a slumped position on his bed, she still eating her pizza, and he has an arm draped lazily around her. Safe to say, he’s intrigued.

“So she’s a…”

“Yep.”

“And she…”

“Yes.”

“So who is her mother?”

“I’m not gonna spoil you.”

“Why not?”

“It’ll ruin the suspense, you dummy!” She smacks his chest ( which doesn’t hurt ) with her free hand. “Now shut up and watch. She’s about to do the thing with the thing.”

Dick snorts. The way she communicates when she’s watching something she’s passionate about never ceases to amuse him. For once he doesn’t complain about the crumbs in his bed ( although there’s a high possibility he might go all clean freak when she leaves ). He has his door closed and locked; locked because, well, let’s say that Jason doesn’t exactly knock. And Dick likes his privacy, especially where company is concerned.

“Jinx...”

“What?”

“You never told me there were threesomes on this show.”

“...So? They don’t show everything! It’s PG-13, not porn.”

“Might as well be...”

“You like it.”

“No.”

Snicker. “I know.” She lifts her face up to his and pecks his jaw. He has butterflies but pouts at her to show his displeasure, and she leans in again but to kiss him on the lips this time. “Don’t be a baby.” 

“I’m not a baby.” He threads his fingers through her hair absentmindedly, nose rubbing against hers. “You’re a baby.”

“You’re a baby.”

“Don’t mock me.”

“Make me.”

“You’re challenging me?”

“Looks like it, doesn’t it?”

“You come into my house --” he frowns in a playful manner, pecking her once. “You make me watch tv porn --” twice, “and you mock me --” slides out of bed and folds his arms across his chest. “You don’t wanna do that.”

“And why not?” She sits on her knees, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

“I’ll bring in backup.”

“Oh yeah?”

“Yeah.”

“Who’s your backup?”

“Can’t tell you.”

“Why?”

“I’ll only spoil you,” he echoes, and she runs her tongue over her teeth under pursed lips.

“So that’s how you wanna play, huh?” Legs swing over the edge and she gets to her feet. She bends over to grab another slice of pizza out the box before coming to a straight stand, hand on hip, munches obnoxiously. “Fine. We’ll play dirty. I know you, Grayson. And your plan’s gonna backfire.”

“Humor me.”

Cue the winner smirk. “I’ve got backup too. And I’m pretty sure he has a thing for yours.”

Gasp. “No.”

“He tells me everything. I’m pretty sure Jason likes me better than you. Actually...I think everyone likes me better than you.”

Oh. Oh. She wants to go there, does she? Fine. Fight fire with fire. Playing dirty it is. He waits for her to finish that stupid piece of pizza before he springs, tackling her to the floor. She gasps in surprise, flailing against him, but he’s more experienced. More trained. Grabbing her by her wrists, he pins her limbs high above her head, straddling her hips.

“What the hell? I wasn’t ready!” She pushes her weight up against him, but he’s stronger and only barks a laugh in return. “That’s not fair.” She whines.

“Aww, I thought you said you wanted to play dirty?” he feigns softness and sorrow. “That’s what you wanted, isn’t it? Are you upset? You gonna cry? Like a --”

“Don’t you dare --”

“-- baby?”

Jinx curses and Dick grins evilly. He bends down and kisses her nose.

“Mad?”

She huffs.

“Hm?” Her cheek.

Silence.

“You know you can’t,” jaw, “stay mad at me,” temple, “for long,” corner of her mouth.

“I hate you.”

He pulls back to look down at her, still grinning. Her eyes always gave away her true, raw emotions. Feelings. “No you don’t.”

And she finally cracks. “...Oh just get down here so I can kiss your stupid face.”

He laughs and obliges.

General Opinion:

lord i can’t even remember where and when i started shipping this but it basically snuck up on me?? i think i saw it briefly mentioned somewhere online and i was like “oh okay i hadn’t thought of that” but i didn’t really ship it properly but at some point i just thought “oh okay i ship this now”

and ofc yours and connie’s interactions only strengthened it in my mind and gosh just. snarky acrobatic leaders being cute together and robin being an awkward dork and jinx learning to open up to him and thE ICE SKATING OK HOW CUTE IS THAT

but it’s such a small underappreciated ship and that makes me sad i need to try and fix this hmmmm

robjinx is one of those ships that i didn’t think about until SO ME ON E brought them up. and i totally see both sides of this ship as well. they’re both leaders and ambitious, and i can see them bump heads on the occasion. like literally, like pre-teen titan jinx.

Jinx let out a yawn as her arms stretched above her head. Her normally bunned hair down to her shoulders in small messy and loose pigtails from their daughter doing her hair earlier in the day. With a sigh she plopped down onto the couch, her head lulling back as her eyes closed.

"So the kids are in bed and it's only..." Jinx began as she opened an eye to look at the time, "9. Do you want to do something dirty or just relax right here?" Jinx asked as she looked over at the other.

Robjinx and RaeJinx kid headcannon?

RobJinx kids are limber, snarky, intelligent, and sneaky children. They are also extremely athletic and limber. These kids are fair skinned, bright blue eyed, with dark locks, with the exception of two who have their mother's abnormal hair trait. They know the dangers their parents take and that because of said job that they won't have a stable life in one place for more than a bit. They tend to hate this fact and at times will avoid being home to hang around their current friends for as long as they can. The kids take up gymnastics as both a recreational activity and for protection. The kids do tend to hang around Wayne Manor with the rest of the Batfamily, learning something new from each of them before returning home. At one point one child even returned home with an old weapon from Uncle Jason.

RaeJinx kids are conceived through a magic ritual Raven finds that is able to combine both their DNA so that neither of them have to be pregnant with someone else's child, and adopting at a later point. The child conceived through ritual has magic running through her being since she was conceived with it. Though because of this her powers are unstable and causes explosions every so often. She has palely tanned skin with dark pink hair and raven colored eyes. She is often nervous because of lack of control of her powers and her fear of hurting others (mostly them tormenting her). The kids they adopt are trained in gymnastics and hand to hand combat. Both sets of kids are taught meditation along with Jinx.
