Over the years of running Gaming & God, I’ve received emails, messages, or chats on Discord about the effects of video games on our walk with Christ. Questions like “I play (insert game name) and I feel I should stop playing it because it has violence, magic, mentions of a god or worship to this deity or something else. What should I do?”. It’s an important question that Christians and even those…
-Robin has/had a bit of a drinking problem due to being a closeted gay man, and was probably initially attracted to Felix upon seeing how out and flamboyant he was; and his choice of clothing and appearance probably didn’t help.
-However, the two did not interact meaningfully until around Felix’s 27th birthday, when he disappeared to his room instead of going out to party. Seeing that this was uncharacteristic of him, he went to check, and Felix was high off his ass on edibles (and miserable). Robin watched over him, being sober, and has stayed fairly sober since.
Robin actually flirted with Felix a few times, and was met with a bit of polite uncertainty, a bit of ‘i dunno...’, but the villager did accept a proper and direct love confession.
Robin is jealous of Kamui, and likely got his ass in gear romantically because of Kamui’s crush. Kamui is oblivious to this, and in this ship verse, Kamui likely moved onto one of his other crushes.
He’s is also jealous of Lucina’s existence, as she is Chrom’s child. Doubly so for Lucina Pardus. Unless the case is poly where she has, uh, three fathers;;;;
Anyways, Lucina is a sore subject for him, child or not.
One reason Robin’s attraction has gotten serious is from support with Chrom;
Chrom: You and me. Me and the others. The villagers we've met, the world we've seen... Such bonds are the true strength of this army. Without them, we're lost.
-----
Robin:That's part of it, yes. But I also want to be there when you find the next me, face down in the field.
so basically it’s very figurative, Felix was newly out and in need of support, externally struggling with the same issue as he was.
I’ve mentioned Robin’s slight masculinity complex here and there; He still has a few beliefs on the heteronormative side despite being gay, such as somewhat subscribing to stereotypes such as a masc/femme, and treating other men in accordance to body size;
hence he’s pretty domineering towards Felix out of a small habit to ‘be the Big Strong Man’; Robin teases people regardless, but it’s a noticeable difference as he tries to make Felix relax.
Felix varies more and can get aggressive, which catches him by surprise at times.
Felix is likely the only one who can truly fluster him or make him blush. He can talk about, say, and do a lot without getting flustered; His S supports with the others are for the most part still canon without the marriage/romantic parts.
Robin did not consider having kids for a while; whether biologically, or finding a man who would actually want some. Getting together with Felix has him thinking seriously about it, he’s shellshocked and pleasantly surprised at the possibility.
His worldview and view on relationships is very pessimistic and cold at this point in time, extremely different from Felix’s; He’s likely to get told off very angrily, as the way he behaves and feels about his peers causes the villager secondhand embarrassment.
Both like to relieve stress through touch, but approach it differently. Robin channels his nervous/angry energy into action to safely expend it, while Felix uses touch as a distraction and to forget, separate from his troubles, so Felix’s vibe actually changes and relaxes. Think the difference between hugging a pillow tightly, verses feeling how soft it is.
Robin is much more reserved in public, and polite, than behind closed doors, to an infuriating level.
