Game Jam Week 2 - Japanese Police Riders - Update 2
Hey y'all. Here's a little update on Sam's and my jam game, Japanese Police Riders. I'm working on some art tonight after this post, but Sam's been busy making things move. We don't have anything playable, but I thought you might like to see things in motion, and a peek into the development process. We had a late start, but here's the first build we made on Sunday with some basic scrolling and object movement:

Next, since we need some police riding, Sam added the ability to jump onto a police bike at the beginning:

Ok, so now that this is taken care of, we wanted to have the bikes increase in speed with time, giving you a reason to jump from bike to bike, or to try to survive as long as you can on an out of control bike. Here's what we put together yesterday;
Things will keep moving slow and steady, as this game jam was designed to be laid back, stretching a 48 hour jam into a month. Still, we're a bit behind schedule. We aim to have something playable for the mid-point meeting on Saturday. Here's hoping! And as usual, check out more from the game jam here.
