HC: The word "Useless" is greatly taboo among Eggman's robots . Just hearing the word strikes fear into their metallic hearts. The word frightens them so much that they hate to say the whole word so they just refer to it as "The U word", this is because hearing that word being uttered by Eggman means that one of them is going to be scrapped and tossed into the furnace. It is not just a word, its a warning that their lives are coming to a close and they are marked for death.

Ruby: She turns completely bloodthirsty. Always has an evil grin on her face. Snarls like a savage animal when mad. Turned her cloak so the long side is over her chest to be extra edgy™ Arrogant and heartless

Weiss: Cold, cruel, calculating, quiet. Kills quickly and without mercy.

Blake: EDGE. Same as Ruby only a bit more tame. Cut off half her jacket to appear more fierce. (But it only makes her look more insane)

Yang: Imagine the devil but it’s in the form of an 19 year old female. Loves to make her victims suffer by beating them to death.

but another thing about robots in fiction is that i always wonder about like, what if androids integrate more with society, and there's this pushback. think live action hatsune miku and then the steady trickle of stickers and blog images: "I BUY MY SONGS FROM *REAL* ARTISTS" "ROBOT SINGING IS GROSS"

the pro-robo side makes constant jokes about 'no robo bro'

also shifts in android culture! some try to act more humanlike to avoid hatred, others act as robot-y as possible. a lot of android musicians actually sing classical music in an attempt to keep people from thinking about the whole android thing, trying to distance themselves from the electronica movement as much as possible.

ironically a lot of detractors claim electronica to be the most acceptable genre as a result because the only people left in it are humans manipulating computers and robots. some androids have tried to break into the genre but in general have met with a lot of vitriol.

there's also a popular punk rock all robo band called Desdroid. popular in the sense of controversial. a lot of their songs have the theme of fucking the system. many parents disapprove

also robots building their own kids but losing custody of them because there's no clause for robots 'having' kids. the kids are cycled in for government education and then made to be productive members of society. at least one was taken by the government and was dismantled while in their care, with the government claiming no responsibility. there are still protests going on.

humans whining about not being allowed in robot safe spaces, robots being like "lol when you get smashed into scrap metal we'll talk"

less advanced robots don't always get accepted by their more advanced compatriots who sometimes treat them like shit and accuse them of perpetuating old robot stereotypes

also robots imitating smoking by overheating a minor part and dipping it in cooling fluid, creating steam. just like smoking it's not good for them cut it out you guys

robots being super blase about nudity and so get called IMMORAL a lot when they forget to put on clothes

Headcanon: some mechs seem much smaller in their robot mode than in their alt (or the other way round). The difference gets "tucked" into their subspace. It's painless but it makes a mech extra sensitive about his personal space whenever he's in his "smaller" mode. The preferred mode is usually the bigger one because it doesn't require using subspace.

OMG, and like a robot and a human dancing together and having to stop sometimes for the human to catch their breath, but their dancing being perfect and pretty everyone in awe of the couple!
