so i’ve started practicing drawing transformer style robots

to me at least, it seems a lot easier than it looks

basically sketch out like you were drawing a person

then add boxes

practice with furniture and perspectives and it should be easier

character crap under the cut

okay so there are about 7 main characters in this thing but w/e i’m just gonna go in a list

Dorsey’s a fuckin nerd who likes space books and judging Cole. also large amounts of coffee. Very protective of family (including friends, Cole’s family, and their husband and kid. the kid is a menace) judging cole has become a tradition, passed on from family to Dorsey, and from Dorsey to the friend group. shortest friend

Cole makes bad life decisions, according to his friends. He stays in too much to work, and he doesn’t go on enough dates according to Dorsey and Amanda. They’re trying very hard to fix that. Cole is surprisingly beefy despite the fact that he insists he doesn’t work out, and can lift pretty much all of his friends. Also the tallest friend in the group. v caring but will deny it and has a potentially scary face

Amanda is the second tallest friend in the group, although she is a robot so it’s not like it was from genetics. Amanda joined the friend group before even Makayla or Eladia, because when she started hanging out with these losers it was just Cole and Dorsey. She knew them when they both had boobs and this will never stop amusing her. She texts a lot, and brings her nerd girlfriend to hang out sometimes.

Carol is the nerd girlfriend, who’s an engineer who mainly works on robots. It’s how she and Amanda met, and she enjoys helping out. (she is also the first person Dorsey calls when they find a robot out on the street) she enjoys video games and a lot of movies, but so do a lot of the others in the group, so she always has someone to watch something with if Amanda is busy. 

Makayla met them all next, because she was hired to work for Cole at his shop. She also bakes really good cookies which is why Dorsey invited her to every single one of their parties. Until she won them all over with her baked goods and charm. She’s really nice, likes animals, and also supplies most of the drinks for their nights in. She’s rad.

With Makayla came Eladia, a model who is honestly too cool for all of them. She likes beating them all at video games and bad jokes, which she tells way too often. She bonded with (obviously) Makayla the most, but is very fond of all of them. She cannot cook. third tallest friend

then there is the robot child who is literally on the street when he joins the friend group. Bonds with Dorsey, Makayla, and Cole the most. He is a sweet little robot who likes animals, (birds especially) and siri, and he also really likes kirby (they play super smash bros. he wins every time. with kirby)

wait like the owner lets him name himself or doesn't name him at all??? oh god. do not hurt me so. who is this man. tell him TO MEET ME IN THE PIT.

i’m a bit undecided on this part. Should i have him be sent to his owner and escape somehow??? or stop him from going there in the first place??

well, either way, his owner is not a nice man, and probably would have named him something horrible to begin with or not named him at all
