Yosuke, are you ok? Something seems different about you.
“Uh.. I think I’m lost.”
“You think?” He gave the stranger a cursory glance. “You might invest in a map, then. I don’t see how this concerns me.”
"I would like Yu to be able to not freak out about being left behind."
Tell me: what do you want from my character?
“I ... Appreciate the concern, but I’m fine. Really.” It was easier said than done, really.

…That wasn’t good. Yosuke forced his face to stay only concerned and not openly worried as he stepped forward. One hand came up to touch the other’s shoulder, and he murmured, “You’re not ok, but that’s…well, ok. Come on, let’s sit down.” It’d give the young Narukami a chance to breathe and collect his thoughts, and it’d give Yosuke a chance to see if there was any record of any other Persona user spontaneously forgetting how to access their Persona.
The hand on his shoulder made him jolt, just a little, as it thrust him from his thoughts. He forced himself to focus on that sensation, trying not to let his thoughts wander. They couldn’t. He’d really lose it if he let himself think too much. “Sit ... Right.” He mumbled, and shuffled towards one of the tables in the shop, sitting with jerky and stiff movements.
“I’m okay,” he was insisting again, balling his fists on his knees and staring at them, swallowing thickly. “I’ll be okay. I just have to remember. I can -- if I go there, I could jog my memory, maybe ...” It was a wild, stupid idea, but there was a thin note of desperation in his voice as he spoke, body a tense bundle of nerves, winding tighter and tighter.
"Hey, long time no-!" Yosuke blinked as his sensors caught up with the rest of him, making him blink and frown. "...Hey, you ok? You seem distressed."
Did he say it?
He couldn’t say it. The idea of voicing it out loud sent another thrill of panic through his veins, and he hesitated, chewing his lip. Saying it was scary, but he couldn’t hide it. Not when people’s safety depended on it. No matter how much he wanted to just pretend it was all okay, that it was all a dream.
“I ... I can’t remember ...” He finally mumbled, eyes focused on some invisible point on the ground. “I can’t remember how to summon Izanagi, I --” He forced himself to stop, before panic overtook him. He took a deep, shuddering breath, trying and failing to steady his nerves. “I’m -- I’m okay.” Lies. He was anything but.
“That’s not a toaster! That’s a robot! A really cool looking one too!”

Is this what people call a toaster?
robotichermit replied to your post:M!a: Why does everything seem so big? Oh it's...
"LITTLE YU."
“This isn’t funny!” Cue the flailing of tiny little arms.
