☀️ ;; Humanity was a fascinating species, one that Optimus found he could never tear himself away from. Their overall tenacity and ability to keep moving forward despite all odds was admirable, regardless of the intentions; he had come across more kind-hearted humans than he had cruel ones, though the latter tended to stand out more in his mind at times. Earth had been through so many struggles in its relatively short existence, and those that pushed for conquest and destruction seemed to pull through every time.
Such thoughts became even more cemented in him after meeting Tima.
From the very start the Prime knew that something was different about the young one. She was quiet and curious, but not in the same way that other children he had known were; no, she seemed almost... restrained in her mentality, unable to move past mental blocks to discover what her soul truly wished to learn. Even so, she was kind and honest to every extent she could possibly be, and seemed to only want happiness and knowledge.
It was only when he truly learned of the girl’s origins that his spark became even more hardened towards the species, those that had built her simply to destroy and control. Much like the doctor that had twisted his species and their resources for personal gain, the one that mockingly called himself Tima’s father was a disgusting and demented being--a life that even he did not see as worth saving. It took a lot for Optimus to think such a disgusting thought.
Yet those fits of anger and spite seemed to melt away when he looked upon the small form, huddled in clothes far too large for her delicate systems. Her features always seemed to exude an air of curiosity and hope, even if she could not completely understand the ideas themselves. Despite her origins, she was still a young sentient being, one that deserved the freedom that her few friends fought for her to have.
And now, he only hoped that she could count him among those numbers. He would fight for her, for the safety of her makeshift family, and all those that called for his aid, as was his duty as Prime. Tima would not be used again.
