She hadn't been out in a few weeks now. Everytime she had there had been people with worrisome emotions trailed her. Even without Ho-oh to tune her the hearts of those around her there were a number of times her training alerted her to the trailing individuals. The one thing she hadn’t been able to narrow down was why. They weren’t filled with insatiable curiosity like the paparazzi, combine that with their general skills, and other mixed in emotions of malicious intent, and she couldn’t help being anything but worried. Following their emotions out of all others in the crowd had been the easy part. The harder part had been cornering the perpetrators. They seemed to have a million ways to leave the scene which was worrying to her. Last time she had actually managed it too. Trapping the person, and easily over powering them with her own combat skills along with her pokemon had been no problem. However when she began to question them a diversion was caused by someone else in the group by dragging her into another battle before making the escape with their friend. All of this lead her to believe they had a budget to work with and people to provide back up.
Opting for safety she had simply decided to lock herself up in the league for about three weeks now. She had hide away there before just fine many times over. After all she already lived there with the rest of the league, so everything she needed to survive was there. It simply wasn't living though, and her restless spirit had about enough of this waiting around.
What she could really go for was a fly at night like she had grown used to doing at least twice or three times a month. The last time she had though the odd group of followers had began to trickle into the scene. For now it seemed staying grounded was her best choice as she wove around the streets of Goldenrod simply enjoying being out and about again.
Either they have developed a way to avoid my ability to read hearts, or they’ve given up. I would say chances lean to the latter since no one has ever managed the former.
Karen rolled her eyes at the bird’s haughty tone as it echoed in her head. It was annoying to be the only one who could hear the old legendary’s words at all times. If the elite could figure a way to shut her off she would. Personally she wouldn’t put it past humanity to figure something out. Granted whomever these people were they probably had no idea any of the details when it came to all of this. So while Ho-oh was likely right, there was a chance that eventually something could be developed.
Continuing her stroll as the bird rambled away, which she usually did, Karen gradually began to feel something. At a distance it felt like a familiar energy, Silver’s to be exact. There was something to it though, something off such as it being duller which was common the older one was. Her instincts began to kick in as she stepped without any faltering not wanting to let the person know that she had picked up on them. The emotions were an odd mix with most of the more intense ones buried down into a state of repression or redirected into other areas. What stood out to her though was anticipation directed at her, and she was staying vigilante for what that entailed.

-It was a nice and cool evening. Leaves falling from the branches with an occasional creek from the trees. This was her area. A sub-part of her territory, another place she worked hard to get and shared with all her friends. Granted they were all ghosts and they all loved to mess with the living in one way or another, but that didn’t matter. Not to Fool anyway.
She wandered down a pathway, passing by empty picnic tables and abandoned fields, places that once had people at them just a year before until she came along. Of course she never formally bought the land here but rather made it un-inhabitable for people and other Pokemon. It was rumored to be haunted which wasn’t untrue as she watched a Pupmkaboo and a Phantump float along the fields. Playing with an abandoned and rather beat up ball. A group of Difloon float over the forest line, a gentle fall breeze carrying the balloons along.
It hadn’t been intentional for this place to become another place for her friends and the friends of her friends, or even wild ghost pokemon for that matter. It just happened that way. She wanted to have a place to go and play like rest of them, along with her buddies. Although numerous numbers of ghosts weren’t always a welcome sight for people, for a list of reasons. Though Fool didn’t mind one bit when a few people had tried to drive her and her friends away. They helped grow flowers after being put in the ground, plus they fed a couple of hungry friends so everybody was happy.
One thing did catch the small blonde’s attention that cool evening, and that was the nicely dressed man walking down the path. Now people going through the area wasn’t the most uncommon occurrence. The park was close to a large town, and to get from the town to the city nearby you had to pass through the park. The uncommon thing was that the man was walking through. Most tend to take a car or a bike, trying to get through the area as quickly as possible to avoid any unfavorable scenarios. Although a few trainers brave or oblivious enough would wander through from time to time, just it was rare.
And this man didn’t seem to be the oblivious type or even stubbornly brave, but more stubbornly prideful or arrogant. Smiling bigger the small blonde skips out from the woods, down the path, and right up to the nicely dressed male. Waving in greeting as she did so.-
“Hello hello~ Pretty sunset isn’t it? Goes so well with this time of season, with all the yellows and oranges and reds~ Don’t you think?”
-She deliberately stands in the way of the male. The height difference not phasing the blonde at all as she grins. The setting sun bathes the terrain in a red orange color.-
Starter for @rocketbossgiovanni. Glancing around with that sense of unease when having come back from a round of training outside of town and ready to to a break for the time being, that unease nagged at him like it usually did given he always was a bit on edge due to things he experienced in his past.
Gritting his teeth with a soft grunt when looking for Sneasel and clicking his tongue for them to stick close, keeping a hand steady on his bag that he carried then tightening his grip on the strap while moving carefully while still staring like something would jump out at him.
Hissing quietly when mirroring his trainer's movements there and twitching those mismatched ears while listening to something and bristling up, "Snea..." tugging at Silver's clothes on having heard someone approach and squeaking when a familiar scent caught his attention.
Raising a brow of his partner acting like this then frowning when hearing footsteps approaching after slowing his pace, "Not the dorks huh... hmm... must be someone else or you be acting differently Sneasel..." narrowing his eyes when perking up at the sound of shoes and stiffening up with a harsh breath, "Shit... don't tell me, the old man is here..." biting on his lip at the thought when noting that shoe sound since he memorized it since his childhood.
Inching closer to Silver when still bristled up in conforming that while making the red head bristle up, "Sel..." patting his trainer's leg in reassurance that he protect the red head at any given moment, "Snea..." puffing cold air out of his mouth when ready to set off an Ice attack if Silver gave the go head to do so.
"Why now of all times...? Jeez..." seeing the figure come into view from the shadows before speaking in that somewhat annoyed tone, "Nice to see you, I guess..." finally locking eyes with the man that was his father and giving a hard stare though it was expected since things were very shaky if he could say it.

James’s shoulders tense up enough to reach his ears. Spinning on his heel to face the older man, he quickly forces his posture to something more presentable, though it does nothing for his thundering heart rate.
“Boss! I wasn’t expecting... That is to say, how are you, sir?”

"Oh, look, it's a discount mafia boss that lost to a ten-year-old Child. How's the bitter taste of inferiority to a person much closer to their goal than you could ever think of?"
