The Bereznyak-Isayev BI-1 was a short range rocket powered fighter developed in the Soviet Union during World War Two. Nine prototypes were built before the project was cancelled.

Bachem Ba 349 Natter Prototype M23

The M23 prototype of the Bachem Ba 349 Natter on 1 March 1945 shortly before being boarded by its pilot Lothar Sieber. Siebel was knocked unconscious during take off resulting in the Natter's crash and Siebel's death.

Two comets tracking in front of you... That is two Messerschmitt Me 163 Komets. Described as if flying in a runaway train, it was the first rocket power Fighter to surpass 1000km/hr. With only a powered flight time of 10mins or so it would rocket to a high elevation and then hit Allied Bomber formations before having to glide back to base.
