GUYS, I HIT THE JACKPOT. So my department is in the midst of organizing all the stuff and we’re getting rid of a bunch of rocks that we’ve had lying around in bins and LOOK WHAT I FOUND. It’s a copper ore, specifically a bornite (Cu5FeS4) vein. For reference, bornite is the peacock ore, and it’s even prettier in person than in the pic. I remember collecting little pieces of bornite from rock grab bags when I was a kid, but this piece is HUGE!

I’m such a weird-o. I am hoarding these cabs. Some of these are REALLY hard to use in my work, because that means I have to part with them...I act like I’ll never be able to find cabochons again! 😫😫 I need to let them goooo!! So, with that being said, I am going to start using more and more of those “hard to let go” rocks and crystals. I may even start listing stones for sale during my Etsy shop updates on Sundays. I am finally able to breathe "easier" after a shower yesterday and a shower today. My nose is still tender and a little swollen. No bruising (thank GOD) but it is a little red on the bridge of my nose. Ugghhhhh and with so much work to do this week, I don't have time for this!!

Thanks, guys! I was so worried that the trains would keep getting cancelled all night but I made it home without that much longer of a delay. I am so tired today from all of the stress of people pushing and being stressed out (plus this older lady decided that rather than switch seats with me, like I offered, she would sit on my armrest almost the entire train ride home. Ughhh gonna try this all again tomorrow too!)
