RTM (Red Tinted Memories) AU bits
Forteshifter:
It doesn’t technically remember anything from when it was a Crewmate, just vague images and random sounds and feelings.
It does however retain (surprisingly) most of its knowledge as a former miner. So sometimes it’ll just start rambling about gemstones and crystals mid-conversation. It doesn’t know where this information came from, but it’s not complaining!
Demi. Just, demiromantic, demisexual.
It does know that its name and color used to be Olive, but after the parasites…found it, they changed its body to not have any true color, and renamed it as Shapeshifter. It didn’t like that, and wanted to be called something else. So the parasites compromised, naming Fortegreen as its default color, and dubbing it Forteshifter.
Tan:
Alive! But…re-animated, and infected by the parasites.
Goes by She/They pronouns.
They’re begrudgingly working with Forteshifter, seeing as they’re both Impostors, and they don’t have anywhere else to go. But they don’t like it.
She’s already lost some of her memories, and others are beginning to fade as well. She’s afraid she’ll forget everything. (She’s right)
Misses her friends, wishes she stayed dead so she could be with them.
Thinks there’s something Forteshifter isn’t telling them.
Polus Crew:
Stayed behind to watch over Tan.
Fortegreen is still shocked that there’s two of them.
Brown is enraged at Forteshifter, and wishes he could force himself back to life to strangle it.
Gold(Orange) is just sad that they were lied to.
They all still care about Tan, even though she’s no longer a Crewmate. But they do subconsciously keep their distance from her.
They wish they could apologize to Yellow, but they went to stay with the Skeld Team. They like to think Yellow forgives them though.
