Dun dun dun. I need more cute RodiMags ;D Not sure if this meets your expectations exactly, but I’m just thinking of how sad Minimus sounded in the Holiday Special when Roddy came back......

It was the first time Ultra Magnus seen such a genuine smile from Rodimus since the Lost Light first departed. There were many times he had seen a smile on Rodimus’ face--a smirk or a bragging grin--but...not innocent happiness. 

He could never explain why meteor surfing brought such joy to the captain, but Ultra Magnus knew it was one of the most important things to Rodimus. Everytime they were in close proximity, he had the ship stopped to surf for hours. 

Not even their scheduled little date could hold off Rodimus’ urges.

Ultra Magnus wilted at his desk and begrudgingly resumed typing away on more of the ship’s paperwork.  He paused when he noticed a new datapad snuck into his pile. With a frown, he activated it and read it.

‘Got you a souvenir from my last trip. Check your desk.’

Ultra Magnus quickly slide open his desk’s drawer and froze at the sight of the largest chunk of jewel he even saw. It was nearly as large as the suit’s palm, but very flat and shiny. It twinkled in fractions of colors, with little white specks in each facet.

‘Sometimes I find nice things like that in the meteors, but I always look forward to getting back on the ship and seeing you again, Magnus. You’re my real treasure. In case you forgot that. :) ’
