Can someone make soty mainstream and make it reach Americans so all the grown fujoshi women with working jobs would start dropping bomb 112k slowburn fanfics on ao3 and then it would eventually inspire the Portuguese, Polish or Spanish women also with working jobs to write even more bomb AbhiRo fanfics with an authors note that says "English isn't my first language (and neither is Hindi)"
Hey, can I request something for Rohan x Reader x Abhimanyu in a poly dynamic? This idea has been on my mind for a while, where they both get a little jealous and argue at first because they’re friends who like the same girl, but eventually realize that things could work out differently (as a poly relationship). Please only accept if you're comfortable writing this. Thank you! 🩷

Receiver....Duration・・・・・5.5K
Receiver....Warnings: Fem!Reader. Bi? Abhi. Closeted! Rohan. A VERY BAD gay joke, I don't know if it offends someone..If does, tell me. Homophobic Ashok Nanda? Rohan flirting and Abhimanyu feeling like a third-wheel. Kind of a fall-out with Ro and Abhi..? Weirdly, not very angst. Almost an irrational argument between you, Rohan and Abhimanyu. Not proof-read + stale bits of writing.
World is divided into two;
The good and the bad, the happy and the sad, the 'I will have it' and the 'I wish I had'.
And just like that, so is the friendship between Abhimanyu Singh and Rohan Nanda. The two stood into opposite ways of life, Abhimanyu with modest life and using his brains and Rohan with his lavish one with servants and using his brawns more than anything.
But two had similarities, keeping the best friends connected. Bad family life, parties and one special person, you.
You. Great you.
You were like a piece of puzzle, so weird. But they always seeked you out for their issues. Grandma or aunt yelled at Abhi today? You.
Shanaya threatened to tattle to Rohan's father? You.
Tanya is being annoying? You.
Football match excitement? You.
There wasn't a time they wouldn't seek you out, you were their literal best-friend! Well, in their eyes at-least.
Rohan sighed, leaning against Abhimanyu and playing with his football, kicking it against the wall over and over and over. His brain was frying, exams were kicking their asses, that's for sure.
But clearly Rohan had another thing he was busy about, such as speaking on you—
"I swear, I haven't seen a hotter person. Like sure, you're attractive and I'm hot. But they're all sorts of hot!" he mumbled, wiping his hand down his mouth with a little grin, as he looked at you. You were sitting with Sudo and Tanya, arguing over something.
Rohan figured Sudo and Tanya were trying to give you dating advice, which is the last thing one should do. Considering Tanya was more busy chasing rich guys—not that anything's wrong with it! She got her priorities straight, that's good.
And Sudo bailing her out when Tanya's date fall out..alongside his weird homo-relationship with Dimpy. So he doubted they gave good advice for dating.
"Dude–", "I'm serious, Abhi yaar." he mumbled, leaning back against Abhimanyu who silently hummed, nodding silently. Rohan paused, picking up his bag.
"I'll see you, yeah? I got a gig." he told Abhimanyu with a soft grin as Abhimanyu nodded, quickly hugging him over his shoulder and patting his back, as Rohan shoots you a quick look as you turned to quieten down Sudo and Tanya.
Your eyes meeting his for a second—wow.
You were too pretty, the wind slightly in your hair as you looked up, admiring Tanya as she spoke whatever she had to speak. Cheeks soft, smile gorgeous and even manners endearing. Rohan really thought you'd fit perfectly for him and for Abhi too. He wanted you both to be against him. He wanted you both to be his.
He was almost lost in thought and didn't realise he was staring. Then your eyes again turned up and met his own, making him conscious that he'd been staring.
You smiled to him and then to Abhi. Abhimanyu sighed softly, his eyes downcasted as he pulled out his phone. Rohan shot him a confused look, before ushered off, realising he'd be late for a gig he had gotten. He still had a bit of testing needed to be done at the venue.
He again paused, walking back—
"Oi, you're coming to the club, right?" Rohan mumbled, turning to him. Abhimanyu's eyes were focused on the book on his lap, it gave time for Rohan to look at Abhimanyu.
Sharp nose, soft and round eyes, a good jaw, beautiful heart, smart, strong, tall. Abhimanyu was quite a good guy, in terms of beauty, manners and all criteria.
Rohan figures if he himself was a girl, he'd be pretty much satisfied dating him.
Rohan can see the appeal of Abhi from miles away. It just was and was the most appealing thing. God, what he wouldn't give to have this man if he himself was a girl.
"Hm, sure..What?" Abhimanyu asked, turning to him which makes Rohan break out of his trance, running a hand down his face. Just what type of thoughts is he thinking? This is stupid.
"Nothing-" he said, as Abhimanyu looked up at him, since he was sitting. Abhi's round and dark eyes seemed softer than they should, Roahn's hand twitched as if dying to reach out and hold his jaw, making him fluster down a bit.
Okay—no. Weird.. Weird.
"I'm going." He said, before speed-walking down. A hand through his hair. Just what the hell was THAT?! That weird calmness but almost weird outlook where he genuinely felt like Abhi would be a good husband.
Sure, Abhi would be a good husband. He may a bit of a perv, but who wasn't? He genuinely listened, genuinely talked, had a very romantic look on love.
Rohan knew if he was in position of Abhi's girlfriend, he'd be treated like some goddamn queen or something. Attempting to rationalise that, Rohan gets in the car and tries to get back in brain, his gig needed him.
Abhimanyu, all the while, looked up again. You were still sitting between Tanya and Sudo. It took a second, but he plucked up the courage and sat down beside you three—
"Eh, Abhi! Where's Ro?" Tanya asked, looking around, "Gone for a gig." he said. Hearing that, Tanya deflated, clicking her tongue but nodded, going back to her phone. You yourself were on your phone, the protective screen which turned the screen black was there.
So Tanya and Sudo couldn't really see your phone, unless exactly above you. You took the fun of that to silently scroll one of Rohan's posts.
At the beach.
Shirtless. Hot, his gorgeous smile on his lips. Eyes shiny under the sun of whatever rich place he was at.
"–Hey. Uh, you comin' to the club?" Abhimanyu asked. You looked up, meeting his eyes. "HM? Yeah. Everyone's comin', would give me FOMO if I didn't." you said with a grin, rolling your eyes as Sudo patted your back with a nod.
"Yeah, we gotta get you out."
"Get you a date too." Tanya said with a bit of pity and disgust in her voice as if not having a date was the worst thing to happen to someone.
"You need a date?" Abhimanyu asked, suddenly his back was straight. You leaned back against the steps, the gold-chain you wore around your neck resting perfectly on your chest, on your crumpled top.
Your uniform skirt silently riding up your creamy thighs, in a way so that Abhi had to lick his dry lips a bit, maybe Rohan wasn't wrong about you being hot.
"Yeah. I mean—They're trying to get me some sociality," You nodded as Tanya nodded her head once like it should be obvious and Sudo grinned, "And this is the perfect opportunity!" you said with a grin.
"Cool-cool. Yeah–sure. That sounds good, yeah." Abhimanyu nodded. You nodded and then looked down at your phone again, now on a post of Rohan sitting with Abhi at some party. His chest peeking from his shirt, his bicep literally made your throat dry.
You almost felt bad being this thirsty for Rohan Nanda, when you looked up. Abhimanyu was looking at Sudo, who was holding his face, which made Abhimanyu grin even wider.
Your breath again hitched, a little bit of a tug in your gut as you sat straight. Abhimanyu never looked hotter than he did now. And that's even more embarrassing. Liking men in itself. But liking two men who are real and your friends?
That's gotta be shameless.
"Yeah, save a drink for me, yeah?" You hummed, when the bell rang and your class was there. You didn't share this one with Sudo, Tanya or Abhi as you hurriedly got up, pulling your bag and running off.
"..Sure–" Abhi says, waving gently as you smiled, waved to them before running off hurriedly.
"And what was THAT?" Tanya asked, a bit of a smirk mixed with a frown on her face as if she wasn't sure what she had just witness. Sudo seemed practically prancing.
"What?"
"THAT. The mumbling over your own words?? What was that!?" Sudo smirked, gently nudging, "You like 'em? They're hot, right? Ask them out." he said quickly as Abhimanyu put his hands up.
"Okay-okay. let's calm down. It's not like that, besides. If anyone's finding them hot, it's–" he paused, wondering if to say Rohan's name or not. You were too amazing and too pretty for your own damn good.
But he didn't really wanna share. He didn't want to share you..
And he didn't want to share Rohan with you either.
Abhimanyu didn't know if that's something that he should be feeling. He's already a 'jinx', a 'bad-luck'. Why do this to either of you?
"Actually nevermind, I gotta go. I remember, I had promised my grandma somethin', yeah?" he said, hurriedly packing his bag and walking off. Clearly distracted.
Tanya blinked, chewing her bubblegum, blowing a bubble when Sudo popped it,
"Paisa for the thoughts, Tanya?" he asked with a coy look as Tanya scoffed, "Stop using stupid sayings. Abhi is CLEARLY in love with them." Sudo crossed his arms, "Yeah? And you know this because your love compass is so great, right?"
That's a low blow.
Tanya scoffed, removing her heel and hitting Sudo with it, "Just be quiet. if you think you're so smart. Who do YOU think Abhi's in love with?"
"Easy. Rohan." Sudo said as if that was the truth of the world as Tanya scoffed,
"Are you kidding me?!–ROHAN? Rohan Nanda?" She scoffed, "As if!" she said, "What do YOU know, Tanya?!" Sudo huffed before pausing when he heard rustling. JUST as Shruti sat down, sighing as she stretched her feet,
"..ugh, hi Shruti." Tanya scoffed, rolling her eyes, "What are you two talking about?" Shruti asked, shooting the two a confused and almost curious look.
"Seeing who likes who? She said Abhi's in love with Y/N!" Sudo said as Tanya scoffed, "You said Abhi's in love with Rohan!", "Whatever, dude!"
"..Wow. No..Rohan's clearly in love with them. He constantly watches them and what not!" She said as both of them turn to her, "What is wrong with you, Shruti?" Tanya asked, eyes staring in disgust.
"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with both of YOU!?" Shruti said, a grin on her lips. Amused to see how invested Sudo and Tanya were in this. "Nothing is wrong with me. I'm saying it as I see it,", "Yeah, what you see is bullshi—"
"Shut up girls." Sudo said, shaking his head, "We don't know who they like but if it does end up this way.. Bets should be made properly!"
"Hah, no way—" Tanya said before Shruti spoke up, "500 rupees." she said, grinning as Tanya rolled her eyes.
"Fine." she said. Sudo smiled between the two, high-fiving Shruti and going back to fixing Tanya's current boyfriend situation. They still had the club meet up tonight, that'll be great.
So fucking great.
The moment you got outside the club, you knew the entire situation was gonna be overwhelming and stimulating you. All the same, you stood with Tanya and Sudo, both of them mumbling about something, but wouldn't tell you about what.
Tanya's dress short and white and lacy, like you expected. Sudo in some random shirt, jeans. As the elevator came to a stop, you walked ahead. Eyes already scanning as Sudo guided you two to the bar. Jeet greeted the two—
"Ay, Sudo!" Jeet smiled, quickly holding his arm and hugging quickly before pulling him. "Add three more shot and add it to..Rohan Nanda's tab." he whispered, before nodding to you two.
"Oi, hey. You and Tanya." he smiled as he looked around, hands waving to get someone's attention. You waited until Rohan, Shruti, Shanaya and Abhimanyu came into view.
Rohan was leaning against Abhimanyu, Rohan half-way yapping and kept babbling nonsense to Abhi who nodded, listening in.
Abhimanyu's arm was leaning over the counter, holding a cigarette in between his pointer and middle fingers and a glass in the same hand. While the other arm was over Rohan's shoulder, gently and absent-mindedly stroking Rohan's jaw and throat with his pointer finger.
Abhimanyu nodded, listening attentively and nodding with a loving smile.
You paused, your heart sinking. Did they..? Were they..? Oh no. No..Did god just subtly tell you you were in love with guys who you can never have?
So unfair. You loved them both..You also wanted a chance with them. The sight just seemed like pinpricks in your skin. Pricking you until you cried like a kid about how 'unfair it was!' or something.
'That's childish, don't be so shameless. They can date whoever they want to date, even each other. You don't have any right over them, you idiot!', you reminded yourself. Breathing in to calm your nerves and walking over with your friend-group.
Abhimanyu paused, looking ahead and he gently turned Rohan's head, waving to you, "Oh, hey! You're here!" he said brightly as Rohan gently poked his side, making Abhimanyu silently put his cigarette against Rohan's lip, making him take a puff, his other arm still around Rohan's shoulder.
It was like invading into Rohan and Abhimanyu's life, the part of it which should be locked away behind curtains and what not. It seemed so sweet, so loving. Something you couldn't share with either of them.
how pitiful.
Looking down, you realised you didn't have something to drink on when you cleared your throat, "Let me go get drinks for us.." You offered with a polite, even if forced smile. Also while trying to wipe out your imagination of what possible implications such casual touch could mean among two male friends. You also wanted to be between them. That's unfair!
As you walked close, you heard a little nudge, making you snap out your thoughts. You turned your head to see Abhimanyu clearing his throat, smiling down, "I'll join...?" He offered, giving you the choice to decline if you wanted.
"Sure." you smiled. Abhimanyu and you snaked in the maze of heavy crowd busted in a high-end Dehradun club with foreigners and desis alike. You both were walking past, when you stopped infront of a mirror.
Right outside the edge of the washroom. You silently began fluffing your hair into place, admire yourself. Even if you felt kinda disappointed, almost deflated..You didn't want to acknowledge the sort of..hurt you felt inside.
You didn't want to say anything, you didn't want to ruin your friendship. But even you couldn't mask your pain and slight devastation so easily, since Abhi gently leaned close.
"So–You okay?" Abhimanyu asked softly, "You seem kind of peeved out. Like you just got bad news." He said. You sighed, shaking your head with a little 'nothing'. Your eyes travelled over him, while his travelled over yours, "Just kinda burnt out.." you whispered.
You scanned him up and down. What a man.. Seriously. You say that. All the same, that vision of Abhi and Rohan was kinda..weirdly stuck in your head, so you had no problem asking about it as you turned to face the bar again,
"So..When were you going to tell me?"
"Tell you what?"
"You know—hah," You rook in a breath, voice trying to be playful and delicate, coaxing, "You and Rohan's..relationship?" you whispered as Abhimanyu snorted softly, coughing a bit with how he choked on his own saliva, "Sorry–sorry, what?"
He asked, a confused smile on his lips, "Me and Rohan..? We-" he pauses to gather himself as you feel embarrassment pool in your tummy at your assumption, a hand covering your face, when Abhi speaks up again,
"Nothing going on between us. Though can't say the same for him," he hums, "He seems to like you kinda a lot. He's a pretty good guy, hot too." he smiles, gently and almost casually turning your face to meet his.
"Even I'd date him." Abhimanyu said, so utterly casual while you blinked. You silently turned to him as he smiled ahead. You silently motioned to yourself and he nodded before looking back at Rohan dancing with some chick. That sight made you clench your jaw. What is he even doing with someone like that?
You could substitute perfectly well if he wanted a chick to dance with him!
But you clear your throat, and turned to look at him. He also stared at Rohan and nodded again. his face almost straight and serene.
What a fucking asshole.
"BUT–..He is busy with someone else." Abhimanyu whispered, with sort of a saddened voice. You were going to comment on his slight melancholy, but didn't get the chance to when he spoke up again,
"Actually..You seem–" you spoke but paused when he tried to say, "I'm actually not feeling well-" He spoke and said the words as if choking up, "I need to go the washroom. Wait for me for a sec?" he whispered.
You nodded, worried. His feet huried and he entered the men's washroom, closing the door quickly. As if he was choking up..
Rohan stood with Shanaya, who was more busy with Shruti anyway, Tanya busy with Jeet and Sudo arguing over some sort of flirting tactic. So, in a way. He was all on his own, eyes zoning out and mind feeling up thoughts of you. What were you doing? What kinda drink did you like? Something sweet, maybe a bit sour or something strong.
You did look like someone who'd like something with lemon or lavender in their drink together. You looked pretty today; in every way you could be. Though, he has to break it to himself, initially, he almost didn't notice you. More busy scanning how good Abhimanyu looked, like the latter put in more effort for looking good today.
Which is practically unfair with how good he looked. He isn't sure if he liked the way girls stared at Abhimanyu, not really. Like he was a piece of meat to just run their hands over. Rohan himself doesn't touch Abhi like that. Why would Rohan let random girls do that?!
All the same, this felt wrong. Like Rohan himself was being difficult on purpose, like all of this was simply because his father's words kept jabbing in him from earlier that evening,
"You really think that young man, Abhimanyu, is your friend simply because he likes you..? Don't be idiotic, maestro." Ashok Nanda had said while getting ready for a dinner part of his own. Weekend that Rohan gets holiday from St. Teresa and his dad couldn't give a fuck more.
Ashok sighed, "You're already unambitious, Rohan. Don't be disappointing me more.. Like, being out of the 'ordinary'," he said, voice cold and more so, uncaring while he spoke, like Rohan was enough troublesome as he was, "or fostering such interests, like the ones yelling the loudest." he added in whisper at the end.
Rohan knew what his father meant when he warned him to not be out of the 'ordinary'. Of-course he did. Rohan is oblivious, stupid, socially inept, maybe even naïve..but he isn't dumb to his own feelings. He knew what he sometimes felt for Abhimanyu wasn't 'normal', not for people's standards.
It was his one hope to maybe get on his dad's good side. Besides, you're amazing! You're also..enough for his dad to approve of, hopefully. Right..? But he can't seem to let go of Abhimanyu nor can he let go of you. Like letting go either of you would be painful.
He can't bare to share either of you. No..He can't just have TWO people to date, that's shameless. That's weird and that isn't something his dad would ever approve of—
"Aren't they taking long?" Tanya's voice broke his trance as he looked up, "Hm?"
"Abhi and Y/N, they left to get drinks, haven't come back yet!" Tanya said as others nodded amongst themselves. Rohan sighed, his gut felt like it was kicking him for being horrible, but he spoke up, hoping seeing your face might light up something in him.
Rohan walked off without another word, more busy scanning the crowd for you. Smoke clinging to his leather jacket and smell of every intoxicant and vice hung in the air, alongside heavy music. Usually, he liked this type of shit. Fuck a few girls, hang out and pretend to be drunk so he gets to be lazy and get Abhi to do things for him. But not right now.
His feet stomped on the cracked asphalt when he gently walked, towards the back where he expected to find you and Abhi. He did find you, silently fixing your hair outside the washrooms. He sighed in relief, heart softening, silently walking over. He would've liked to see you AND Abhi together, but he'll take what he can get, really.
"Gods, where's the idiot?" Rohan asked, but his voice was clearly softer with you. Even though he also desperately wanted to see him. "He's gone to the washroom." You mumbled, gently shifting closer. "I like your shirt. Is it new?" you tried to spark up conversation.
Awkwardly, you also wanted to hurriedly see Abhimanyu, but right now? You were fine focusing on Rohan, "Yeah, why?"
"It looks nice." You mumbled, smiling gently which made Rohan scoff, "Come on. You're playing. You look better than me,", "No. I meant it. Gneuinely!" you said, brushing off his shirt with a smile. It made Rohan playfully grimace,
"I don't believe in words of apsaras who don't even commit to the flirting." He whispered coyingly, gently grasping your wrist which was brushing his shirt. You laughed.. your laugh.
It was pretty. Rohan realised silently, before he cleared his throat, "Never-mind that for now though. Just curious for a second—" he said gently, fixing your hair gently.
"Hey..So I was wondering. Uh—since it's a good weekend, you want to like hang-out or.." Rohan tried to ask. A smile seemed to pry over you two as you reached out brightly, "You're asking..me to hang out with you?" you asked.
You asked as if that was surprising which made him deflate a bit, but also mask it with a smug grin, "Yeah, why? You don't think I can make pretty girls like you happy?" he said. You seemed confused as if that question itself was weird to you, but you shook your head with a grin.
"Never said that. I'm excited to see what you'll plan for a 'hang-out' for us." you teased, running your finger up his chest, albeit hesitantly as if something was stopping you from doing so when Rohan pulled you close making you gently smile, almost cheekily.
You almost didn't think you'd be noticed, Rohan noticed though. He wonders why you're so..reluctant, as if he's already claimed or something.
But those thoughts are pushed back when he heard a silent click and the bathroom door opens to Abhimanyu stepping out, fixing his belt. Effortlessly hot. Rohan and you stop for a second, but almost too distracted to pull back from the slightly suggestive position you both put yourselves in from the minute flirting.
Abhimanyu looks up and the bright look of his eyes darkens into seriousness. His eyes settle on hard-coldness and it made both you and Rohan suddenly conscious like you both were doing something wrong.
Rohan and you both look down, realising the position and awkwardness or what seemed to be clear flirtatious actions—
Your hand on Rohan's chest, Rohan's hand somehow having snaked close to you, around your waist, both of you practically housing yourselves onto the wall near a bathroom..
"Seriously..?" Abhi asks, his tone saw that he clearly looked slightly hurt. Like he was being left out, which made you and Rohan immediately pull away, "Bro..It's not—it's nothing like that." Rohan attempted to whisper.
You should've felt bad with how quick Rohan dismissed it, but you immediately nodded. Abhimanyu scoffed a small, almost pitifully sarcastic laugh and smile, "I'm not dumb, you two. I see it. I see how tangled up you both are you. How you both look at each other. How you both always have been. I'm always the third-wheel, but seriously?"
He said, clearly hurt. Over what? You two had no idea. But you never meant to hurt him. Abhimanyu sighed, squeezing his eyes shut and pushing back his hair while trying to gather his bearings silently, before sliding past you. Truying to not touch as if you were..something wrong to touch.
That hurt.
Rohan walked closed, gently trying to grab his wrist, "Abhi, yaar-", "don't. We're friends..Why do you two have to—?" he pauses as if realising he shouldn't speak more. You tried this time,
"Abhi–" "I said, don't."
He shook his head, putting up a hand as if stopping you in your place. Abhimanyu sucked in a breath, blinking his eyes to blink away the itch and sting of sour tears,
"It's always been like this—since we three became friends. You spend time CONSTANTLY in the music room while you listen to him make music," he motioned to you.
You, almosed ashamedly looked down at your feet, sucking and breathing to calm the hurt you felt in you. That was like a twist and knot forming in your tummy. Abhimanyu turned to Rohan, "You both danced together at the last party while I was there. I'm ALWAYS the third-wheel. Now this? I'm..kinda done, Rohan."
"Abhimanyu. Please, don't do this–" Rohan whispered, almost desperately, "I'm going home." Abhimanyu finished this, walking off. Leaving you and Rohan outside the bathroom. Your eyes stinging and Rohan feeling a pit in his stomach widening,
'Maestro, you're destined to lose with how you live and how you choose to be.' Rohan's father's words seemed to echo in his head, over and over and over and over—!
"Rohan..I'm sorry, I–" You spoke up, breaking him out of his trance, trying to not sob while looking up and trying to wipe your eyes without smudging your kajal or eyeliner.
"Hey, no. No no. Nonono. It's not– shhhh. It's okay." He said, gently putting his arm around your shoulder as if looked at Abhimanyu walked past people. Your eyes stinging with tears as you pursed your lips, your tongue poking your cheek. Anything to keep you from crying. "I just–" you tried to speak again,
"I know. I didn't realise he felt this way either." Rohan said, his hand shoved into his pocket as he looked down. He himself was trying to not run after him, his wall kept him from being too vulnerable. He was Rohan Nanda, the son of Delhi's BIGGEST business tycoon.
He can't just cry—no.
No. He wasn't like his stupid dad. He wasn't GOING to be his stupid dad. He may be worse at business and commerce and anything tech or business-savvy. But Rohan could still beat his father by a mile by doing one thing.
By being better at love, communication, sensitivity and.. being honest. He can be better.
"Hey, listen–" he turned to you, "It's not your fault. We had no idea..until now. But–we need to go after him. I need to tell Abhi something—" Rohan paused, gently wiping your eyes. You sighed out shakily, nodding,
"I owe you both something. The truth, atleast.. Yeah," Rohan finished, grabbing your wrist.
Rohan sighed, pushing past sweaty, smokey and alcohol induced crowd. Music loud and thumping in his ears, bright lights, technos and sparkles in his eyes. He grabbed his phone, shooting Jeet a quick text. You did the same to Tanya and Sudo while walking ahead of Rohan, in fact. You desperately needed to see Abhimanyu.
He deserves a truth from you too.
Rohan grabbed his keys, fumbling and opening the car. You pulled the car door hastily, sitting in while watching in which direction Abhimanyu's car took off, turning the corner while Rohan hurriedly fastened the seat-belt before starting the car.
A few more minutes before Rohan's car was speeding down the round. Your heart strayed to your own throat, thumping so much and your stomach churned. You felt like you were going to throw up, you had to urge Rohan gently,
"Slow down a bit.." Late night empty streets are as safe as morning, car-filled roads. You didn't want to risk it. Rohan attempted to slow the car. But, he himself was in worry and stewing in this sick feeling of guilt. When you and him caught up behind Abhimanyu's car.
Rohan pressed and slammed his foot down on the accelerator. Rohan's car zipping past Abhimanyu's, almost a few meters ahead, before he twisted and swerved—!
Right infront of Abhimanyu's slowing car, the front of his car slowing down against the edge of pavement, before he slammed his foot down, breathing heavily, his eyes teary. You hurriedly caught your heart and breath, pushing open the door hurriedly and walking out before Rohan followed.
"Abhimanyu, please–just." You started speaking. Abhimanyu's car door opened as he stepped out, his arms crossed and face slightly wet. Had he been crying..?
"What is wrong with you..? You could've gotten in SERIOUS danger right now." Abhimanyu said, striding over, jamming his finger into Rohan's chest. Rohan wasn't intimidated, his eyes were worried instead, "Were you crying?"
"Don't ignore me.." Abhimanyu sighed, dragging his hands down his face as if to wipe his face down. "Just, hear me out." Rohan spoke up,
"Why..?! Why should I hear you out, Rohan?" Abhimanyu sighed, his face showed his hurt. You sucked in a breath, Abhimanyu's words spilling out in a long string of rant. Feelings and words he's kept inside him. "I'm done with this.. i'm done pretending that i don't fucking see it, okay?"
Abhimanyu sighed out shakily before continuing"It's pretty obvious. You like them. Why don't you just come out and admit it? Why don't you both admit your fucking feelings?"
"Abhi, stop–"
"Stop what? Telling the truth?"
"Abhi, please. Fucking listen! Both of you, LISTEN!" Rohan said, frustration but worried and it felt like these feelings were overflowing, like he was going to lose if he didn't get this done within a time limit.
"Both of you, please–I," Rohan sighed, his words refusing to articulate out of his mouth, "I just–I'm sorry I hurt you, okay?" Rohan whispers to Abhi.
"I just. Don't leave, please?" Rohan said, his eyes watering but he wiped it off,
"I love you, Abhi..Please. I love you and them both.."
You sucked in a breath, freezing in tandem with Abhimanyu. Who's eyes watered even more, jaw clenching as he stared down at Rohan.
"They're right there." Abhimanyu whispered, in what sounds like venom in his voice and offense at Rohan flitting you off just to confess to him. But it also sounded like he desperately wanted it to be true. You sucked in a breath.
"I don't know why–or how–but it ended up just..happening. I'm confused enough, okay? I was trying to hide it because my dad. He–i'm just sorry." Rohan sighed, "I don't want to lose you or them. This friendship is so god important to me—"
"Stop.." Abhimanyu whispered, his lower lip quivering, "Just stop." he whispered. He was afraid to hear that this could be the truth, that he could be included in love that was already beautiful enough on it's own..
His family..he always felt like bad luck to them. So he wasn't surprise there wasn't space for him when he saw you and Rohan and the stares you often shared. It was something he was afraid of ruining because he was a 'jinx', a stupid damn 'jinx' who ends up killing—
"You can't just–", "I can." Rohan affirmed, turning to you. Abhimanyu waited for you to get angry, to blow up on Rohan for playing with your feelings and his own. That'd be easier to accept what he hoped was desperately true deep down.
You sighed out, trying to calm your lurching stomach. "He's not wrong. I love you both too," you whispered out, gently reaching out, but stopped at the last second. Pulling your hand back to your side.
You words spoke up again confident. but also firm, It's..confusing. But please, just hear us out–" you tried to whisper, but he took a step back. So tall and muscular and beautiful, but Abhimanyu looked so scared.
"Abhi, I just really didn't want to–", "I liked you both too.."
Abhimanyu's words came out as a voice so weak, you almost had trouble believing it was the same six foot tall boy who took up everyone's attention the first day he came to St. Teresa's. His eyes still held fear, but they tried to desperately hold hope.
As if hope was the tape to what he felt was a shaky and unstable flooring under his foot which'll crumble if he took the wrong step or said the wrong words. Rohan sighed out, chuckling out softly in nervousness like he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"I-what?.. Dude–" Rohan and you winced at his choice of words to call Abhimanyu, "Abhi.. We're here. We aren't joking."
Abhi sighed out shakily, sobbing in almost relief, "It's difficult to choose between either of you." Abhi whispered his stomach felt calm for once in a long while. Rohan nodded and as if coaxing a small animal, gently pulled Abhi into a tight hug. His arms tightly wrapped. You smiled out in happiness.
There wasn't a hint of jealousy in you. They liked you and you liked them both, sure it felt like you were being kinda like a slut, but come on.. Who doesn't like two hot guys? You had, hopefully now, two boyfriends who were both boyfriends.
Rohan gently sighed out in relief against Abhi's shoulder, before pressing a gentle kiss to Abhimanyu's temple. Abhi softly let his emotions take over, sobbing in Rohan's shoulder. Rohan gently unravelled himself from the hug, offering you a hand. You gently placed your palm on his and he pulled you against him and Abhi tightly.
Almost hovering a few inches in the air by the two strong guys. Abhi's face buried between yours and Rohan's shoulder. That night?
so i'm cleaning out some of the wip-snips i've written that i don't see myself completing. y'all have four options: ignore this, write it yourself, make up fun hcs or bully me into writing it (no guarantees).
this is my student of the year x heated rivalry au:
it's uncomfortable for everyone in the locker room. with a last glare at rohan, and abhi, too, for good measure, the coach huffs and stomps out. the other players jump aside to let him leave, and the silence that fell doesn't break until only he and rohan are left inside. vivaan, the last one out, raises a hand to abhi, who nods at him.
a deep sigh. "ro—"
"aaoge mere saath?"
abhi's caught off guard. "kahaan?"
"kahin bhi."
so they drive. well, rohan drives, in his fancy car, and abhimanyu spends most of it staring at his friend. friend. how things have changed since they met nearly five years ago. rohan drives aimlessly around uphill and down, or so it seems, until he pulls over at a bend in the road overlooking the city. he slams out of the car and throws his legs over the short wall bordering the road. abhi's scared he's going to jump for a fleeting moment, but he just hitches a leg up, knee under his chin and rests. abhi sits beside him and waits.
"i'm so tired." he glances over at rohan, not surprised to see his face still twisting in anger. "i can't do fucking anything right."
"that's not true."
"name one thing!" he snaps, eyes fierce when he turns to look. "i can't keep a job, my dad doesn't respect me, shanaya doesn't want anything to do with me, i can't get anybody to love me—" his voice cracks, embarrassingly so, and he quickly hides his face under the pretense of rubbing his temples.
abhi debates for a moment whether he should say it. it's not usually him initiating, but perhaps rohan needs this tonight. "i can show you something you do really well. but we'd get arrested if we stayed here."
Really I never watch Bollywood movies by myself but Rohan and Abhi's gayness literally forced me to. Shanaya is like there's for a third of the movie my glorious queen but c'mon. The whole movie is just Rohan falling for the new kid
