Installed a banks intake on my cummins today. Old air filter was getting sucked into the intake tube. When buying an intake 2 things are very important. 1) ALWAYS get the dry filter!!! The wet ones will wreck your MAF/IAT sensor. Just get a dry one with a pre-filter and it will be just as good as the rumors for a wet one. 2) Buy one with a box. "Cold air intakes" that are just a cone are actually hot air intakes. They just suck in the engine heat.
