also as I was doing drafts and talking someone, I just thought of a headcanon for ryuji’s abuse regarding his dad. I think what makes it doubly more sad is that ryuji would try to keep quiet regarding the abuse - not out of any desire to protect his dad, he could care less about him, but more about what it could end up bringing down on his ma if his dad ever found out he’d told someone somehow. also, I just feel like from an early age, ryuji would feel like he has to be strong and it’s not something he’d easily admit to - i feel like for male victims of abuse especially, it can be something that’s extremely shameful and humiliating and ryuji hates having people seeing him so vulnerable and weak.
Sorry I've not been around too much
Blame 'Love Nikki'
And 'The World Ends With You' for that
Fudou gently turns over the blade in his hand.
It’s strange, he thinks, how it didn’t turn to dust in the wind, but he’s never been sure how life and death work in these bodies. It’s easier not to think about it, if he can.
Now though, it’s all he can think about. He’s lost count of how many times he’s replayed the encounter in his head, trying to see where he could have done something differently to change the outcome. The bitter truth is, no matter how it goes, one of them would have ended up this way, maybe both.
If he’s honest, the thought makes him angry. Why are they constantly fighting their own mirror images like this?
This time, his mind turns to his own double, who had been almost too easy to talk down. Even bringing him... Fudou can’t fight the feeling that it wouldn’t have changed anything. The flashes of memories that aren’t his are enough to guess; he would have put himself between them and the other Yagen. He has no doubt in his mind of that.
The tantou can feel a twinge in his chest at the thought. Instead of lingering on it, he finally rises from his spot at the edge of the bed, his steps silent as he crosses the room and finally rests Yagen’s blade on a small stand atop a dresser. He’s humored the thought of carrying it with him instead, but this feels safer.
He’s only going downstairs for lunch, but there’s still a marked reluctance before he turns to leave the room.
“Rest up.”
He murmurs to no one in particular. Part of him still wonders if maybe he can be heard through the steel.
“I’ll see ya later, Yagen.”
Live on. That was what he said to that other guy, right? It’s that echo in the back of his head that makes it easier to close the door behind him and keep walking. Maybe, he thinks, one of these days it will simply come naturally.
@apmeka has entered the fantasy zone.
“Now, now, little one. Remember what those silly Americans say.”
“No Johns.”
So uh, I drew a mello :’)
Drift is shaking his helm at the two Unicrons bickering on his dash

He also remembers the one that got stuck in a jar, Then a box, cursed at everyone. And that he often threw things at.
Called him a big dirtclod
Why are unicrons so dangerously entertaining?
