Her eye caught a flash of darkness beneath the glittering water of the pool as she walked towards it. An instant later, the swimmer broke the surface.
“Lena Luthor!” Kara gawked, calling out her name unintentionally.
Lena didn’t hear her. Instead, she shook her head, and stroked her black hair away from her closed eyes, gathering it behind her with both hands. Lena’s elbows were spread wide, her pale face tilted towards the sun, oblivious to Kara watching her.
It was a bit creepy, staring at Lena this way, but Kara found herself unable to tear her eyes away from the sight of the other woman. She was breathtaking. In fact, Kara was starting to think the fairytales of water nymphs luring men away with their beauty were true.
She shuffled closer until she stood on the ceramic edge of the pool, hovering a few meters from the bathing brunette who still had her back to Kara.
