This will describe only the stats for O in the code of Infamous. Even if another character's and/or MC Stat is affected it will not be shown. The Question/Text before the choice will be shown. I will also be copy and pasting the Question/Text from the code of Infamous. Some Question/Text is different from Orion and Oriana, so I will include both Question/Text with them being separated with a “ // ”. 

This guide will tell you if you gain Ostat, lose Ostat, or gain o_romance. It will also detail specific circumstances you need to get certain choices. Some stuff is depended on your previous choices however I will try to always clarify when that is the case. If you ever feel that something is off please feel free to DM me.

Mini romance guide 💖 Chapter 1 to 2

Hi! I thought I should make a mini game guide to show some of the romance options that you might have missed, especially if you are playing a shy, oblivious, or tsundere MC :)

Not updated for Juli update yet!

First things first, some clarification:

There are a lot of options that give romance points, but managing to get romance points (when you don't want them) OR failing to get them (when you do want them) will not ruin your playthrough! Worst case scenario you will get an RO that confesses to you, (tho that is unlikely with low romance points), and then you can turn them down without any harm done! Or, if you get few points, perhaps you will have to do the confessing (and some convincing that you do care about them, like that, despite not showing it much...) 😅

A simplified version of my plan for the romance routes are kind of like this: (hi=high, lo=low, mi=medium)

Hi Romance + Hi friendship (love)

Lo Romance + Hi friendship (friendship)

Hi Romance + Mi friendship (passion/crush)

Hi Romance + Lo friendship (hate/lust/bickering-love)

Mi friendship (acquainted)

Low friendship (enemies)

Mi Romance (interested)

So if you are going for a bickering relationship with Lestrade, the meaner you are, the more I recommend gaining romance points—at this point in the game there is no choice that locks you out of the Lestrade romance!

And the romance "gates" will be quite low, at least for MC to confess from a friendship path (although it varies for RO to RO). Watson will only require some romance points to accept a confession—but they will require more to start getting jealous of other ROs or to confess themselves etc.

The romance options guide:

In chapter 1, there are only three choices that give romance points, which are all with Lestrade (and they don't give a lot), but the choices are:

- "Hello to you too, ${lestradeName}." (when you first meet them)

- "Do you?" (when discussing the witness's occupation)

- "You're blushing..." (when discussing the witness's occupation)

(*there are different forms of romance points, and some other relevant variables, but I will only talk about the most general and common one!)

This is only some of the available romance points/choices!

Non-forward romance options:

#which blossomed into an unbreakable bond between kindred souls. + 1 Watson romance

#"$!{lestradeName}..." I whisper softly by their ear. + 2 Lestrade romance points

And I realize that one seems forward—but after choosing it, the MC can then choose why they did what they did, which can be shy/oblivious/other.

#I find myself drawn to the gaze—intoxicated by its depth. + 1

#"Thank you for thinking of me for the case, $!{lestradeName}, you are a good friend." I say, although the word 'friend' feels... lacking. + 1

#"My saviour." +1

#"No?" + 1 (after calling W attractive)

Shy romance options:

#I thought I was being considerate by waking them gently... now I feel all embarrassed... +1 L

#"Y—Your hand, John/Jane, is still on..." + 1

#You blush, furiously. + 1

Oblivious romance options:

The Watson kiss scene has the ability to, afterwards, choose motivation/method which are at least oblivious, I would say.

#Deduction— (when you ask Watson on their love live, tho it needs at least one romance point to appear!) + 1

"You have a marker of... [i]affection[/i] on your face. It is common with the male/female species when in a relationship or courting another. Are you?"

#"You are an attractive man/woman of appropriate age. It seemed... likely." + 1

#"That is obvious, Watson." + 1 (after calling W attractive)

#"Of course, Watson." +1 (possible oblivious) (after telling W not to get involved with anyone)

Tsundere romance options:

#"B—be quiet. You are twisting my words!" + 1 (after calling W attractive)

#"B—be quiet. You are insinuating things I—I never implied!" (after telling W not to get involved with anyone) + 1

#"It would interfere with our work." I say, not really fearing for the work at all... + 1

#"No!" (after telling W not to get involved with anyone) + 1

I would recommend gaining at least one romance point with a potential RO if you want romantic flavor text, unless you want to go full friends to lovers where there is no romantic subtext until later.

And on the opposite side of that, if you happen to gain a romance point when you do not want it, it won't matter too much, and i'll create a romance wipe in chapter 3 where you remove such points by choosing a particular choice.

I'm open to adding more flirt options if you tell me where you think it is missing <3

Astarion Confession Scenes

*You get these scenes if you sleep with Astarion during Act I because if you reject him at both, his approach upon reaching "Fair/Good Approval" and the party, I don't think you can romance him anymore*

-WARNING: ACT II SPOILERS AHEAD-

This is something I woud've liked to know sooner, so I'm sharing it. There are two confessions and while they are both adorable, the vibe is really different from each other.

Confession 1 - At Moonrise Towers, triggered by NPC Araj Oblodra.

You get this scene after you get to Moonrise Towers and talk to Araj Oblodra (drow npc). If Astarion is in your party, an interaction will prompt about Astarion and the drow, if you favor Astarion, the next night (or maybe the next one after that depending on the queue) you'll get this kind of "confession" scene from him.

This scene consolidates the romance with Astarion (unless you decide to be friends instead of lovers).

Also, during this scene, if you do not select "So why sleep with me..." Astarion doesn't say he started having feelings for you, in exchange you get more insight about his past.

So yeah, ignore her while exploring Moonrise Towers to your heart's content.

Confession 2 - During "The Pale Elf" mission after completing Raphael's request (Kill the Orthon).

You can do this at any time after visiting Last Inn even if you don't go to Moonrise Towers but I would recommend visiting both places because it makes sense story-wise.

The only thing you MUST NOT DO at Moonrise is talk to Araj Oblodra, at least with Astarion in your party. Avoid her completely or just deal with her without Astarion (although the drow will ask for your vampire friend and will ask you to bring him to her -do not indulge her lol-).

Once you fullfil Raphael's request and advance "The Pale Elf" companion mission, you'll get a scene at camp, and after that one, the romantic confession.

I very much prefer this second confession since it feels more genuine and sincere, but it's really easy to miss since the scene triggered by Araj at Moonrise will -almost always- happen before we reach the Mausoleum. To avoid it, just do not talk to her. You can still get the scene with her and Astarion after you have consolidated the relationship, so you're not missing out on that one either. Also, you can leave the rest of the Mausoleum exploration for later in case you want to rush the romance a bit <3

Hi sorry to bother you about something you played 2 years ago but I recently got pathfinder kingmaker and I wanted to do the romance were you romance both Regongar and Octavia. From what I've seen it's kind of difficult to trigger and I can't find any guide about it the closest thing was your series of post about that romance (but as you said in them they aren't really a guide to it) so I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of something that might act like a sort of guide for it.

NOT A BOTHER AT ALL, I am obsessed with Pathfinder and in particular Pathfinder Kingmaker. One of my favourite games ever. Sadly i could not find a guide either.... But my posts can act as sort of one, i did not feel comfortable calling them a guide because I am sure there are little things that you can modify and would still trigger the romance. Also because I changed Reg align through quests, and I'm sure you can still romance them even while keeping him evil.

But yes, actually romancing them both should not be too hard. Make sure to choose flirty options if they appear. There is a particular trigger that is the Bartholomew's whip, I think that unlocks a quest to return the whip and you can instead give it to Octavia. I have read that if you take Octavia to the quest with you it might progress her romance faster than Reg, but as you can see here I had Octavia with me and that was not a problem - but it might be because I had both Regongar and Octavia.

In my series "Octavia and Reg romance" you can see that before the Bartholomew quest I mainly tried to flirt or compliment both of them.

And that for the Bartholomew quest I had both Octavia and Regongar. Make sure to find the whip and to inquire about what Octavia needs the whip for - and when both of them reply, there should be an option that allow you to request to join in:

After this, the romance scene will get triggeted. The next step should appear automatically when you return to your city, but you can try the tavern in case:

Make sure to flirt with Regongar (I chose the option "Put an arm around him") and when Reg asks Octavia to join, say yes:

This should be enough to lock the romance in!

There is also a scene where Octavia and Reg fight, make sure to choose the dialogue that blames them both (as in, don't take any sides) (this is a scene that happens randomly during travel, so keep them in your party):

After this, the only part to remember is that when you join one of them in the bedroom, make sure to bring the other (you can talk with Octavia and she will suggest to bring Reg, say yes).

This should be enough!! But if you have any doubts, in that tagged series I posted all their dialogues while doing their romance!!

Romance Guide

Romance Lock

My thoughts right now are that romances will be locked in chapter 15, which will then lock you to that ro for the rest of the series.

You won't need to have a set amount of points to romance an ro, but text/dialogue will change depending on how many you have, e.g., if you have less than 5 points, your chosen RO may be surprised to see you/have a one on one conversation with you.

Thoughts on Supernaturals Stat

This may be scrapped when Golden is done and published, but for now, the thoughts behind the stat are that if you're more negative than positive with this then it'll take longer for your chosen ro to fall for your mc.

Romancing K

When creating K, I wanted to make sure that they are not a character that's sexualised - they’re complex, have layers and it’s not all about sex for them. Before the romance lock, and when you lock on their romance route, their initial thought won't be to have sex with your mc - so don't expect that. A friends with benefits won't be available either.

K and P Poly Route Romance

I’m still not entirely sure whether this will happen, but it may be an option for your mc. I do see K and P being a romantic couple, so a poly route would work.

K and P Being Together

Also not confirmed, but if you're romancing A or B then there is a possibility that K and P could end up together.

I think it's fair that ROs you don't romance are able to find love elsewhere. though the mc is literally the main character in the story, there is a found family trope in Golden and the ros (and other characters) are still an integral part of this story so like the mc, they're finding themselves too, especially with all that happens plot-wise in game.

A's Sexuality

Touch Averse Option

This option comes at the end of chapter 8 which sets that option for the rest of the series, I think it fits the scene well. Just a reminder that the wording of the choice is, ‘i’m not a fan of unnecessary touch from strangers,’ but even when you’re on a romance route, the ro will always ask to initiate any type of touch e.g., hugs, kissing etc.

Whether you’re touch averse or not, the mc/reader will have the choice of whether they want any type of touch to happen at all, to initiate touch themselves, or whether they’d rather their RO initiate it <- for a touch averse mc, if the last point was to happen, then the ro would ask whether the mc’s okay with it, for example.

ROMANCE LOCK.

to unlock a romance route you’ll need to garner a set amount of points with an ro. this minimum is undecided as i have not written much yet but will be very low (say five points).

the only exception to this is Blane, who’s minimum might be as low as zero or one in the case you want to pursue a true rivals to romance path.

ROMANCING SUPERNATURAL ROS.

there is an option in the first chapter that determines your hunter’s stance on supernaturals. this scale varies from trusting to untrusting.

if you choose untrusting or towards the lower end of the scale, you will have to be progressively more and more understanding and accepting of supernaturals throughout the book in order to romance Blane, K or Rylan. these three ros have supernatural blood, whether it be full or partial, so if you were to hate part of who they are they will not reciprocate any feelings.

you can still flirt with them, but when the time comes to choose a romance route, it’ll be locked if you don’t hit a certain requirement. and even from that point onward you’ll need to become more accepting otherwise the relationship will not be as good as it can be.

ROMANCING BLANE.

if you pass the supernatural and romance point check from above, you will be able to romance Blane regardless of if you were rude to them for the entirety of the book. this does not affect anything.

ROMANCING N.

if you choose the option to dislike N by “default” because they are partners with Blane, you will not be able to romance N unless you are progressively nice to them as the story continues, similar to the supernatural check.

this is because it becomes very ooc for N, who adores and is loyal to Blane despite their flaws, for them to accept your advances knowing that you only hold a grudge for them because of their partner. N knows that Blane can be horrible, but to dislike them because of something they cannot control (being paired) is something they simply cannot condone.

that being said, like the supernatural check, you will still be able to flirt with N regardless if you’re rude, but if you continue to hold a grudge up to the romance lock, their path will be closed.

not particularly spoilery in terms of plot, but a bit on the personality spoilery part

pure sweet childhood romance // first love // tsundere  //

most of the angst is that of coming to terms with being in love, and gaining approval for the relationship

nothing particularly dark or disturbing in the actual romance or character development

slow-burn because oskar can’t bring himself to confess okay

rake-turned-lover // older gentleman // second love // sugar daddy //

most of his angst is internal, since he’s still not quite recovered from the disaster that was his first love, and is afraid of trusting others

a bit darker than oskar, but still nothing disturbing; most of it is in his distant past

flirty and charming at first, but comes to a halt once he starts genuinely caring for mc

so what are the ratings at the end?

they’re pretty intuitive, i think. romance, angst, and ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) speak for themselves. disturbing is kind of a rating ,or how messed up it is, and how likely it is to contain sensitive content.

so yeah, tread with caution because i don’t wanna burst anyone’s bubble anymore than i have already done so with Trashman Supreme Valentin uwu
