HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECCA here's some HTTYD!Blam uwu :*
Sam found Blaine on a small island, miles away from home.
He was greeted by Toothless bounding over to him and his dragon, enthusiastically butting his head at Sam until Sam petted him.
“Took you long enough!” Blaine yelled out, not moving from where he was sitting a bit away, sketching in his book.
“Well, it’s not my fault it takes forever to figure out where you went off to!” Sam grumbled, walking over and sitting down next to Blaine, looking at the forest below them. “Why’d you run off today anyway? Would’ve been nice to have a real competitor in the races.”
“So you won again?” Blaine hummed, finishing the sketch and flashing Sam a grin. “Congratulations.”
“Thanks, but don’t change the subject.” Sam sighed. “C’mon, Blaine, what’s wrong?”
“It’s not stupid.” Sam told him. Blaine turned to look at him, confused, as Sam continued, “Remember, I’m being groomed to be the next chief. It’s a lot of work, and pressure, and it’s freaking scary and I want to fly off most of the time, too.”
“Then why don’t you?” Blaine asked, looking back out at the scenery.
“Because if I do, then I might miss out on learning something I’ll need to know when I am chief. And I really want to learn all I’m able to before the day comes when I become the chief, so I’ll be better able to help.” Sam hummed. Blaine stayed quiet and Sam sighed and threw an arm around his boyfriend, pulling him a little closer and pressing a kiss to his hair. “I think you should take some time out of every day to explore around the area, get to know where the different types of dragons are and how they behave in the wild. Maybe that’ll help when someone needs dragon advice back home.”
Blaine smiled a little, leaning into Sam. “Maybe. It would be nice to explore around.”
“See? And hey, you’ve always got me if you need someone to help you out.” Sam smiled back.
“How do you always know the right thing to say?” Blaine murmured.
“Dunno. It’s a gift, I guess.” Sam said, nudging Blaine gently. “Hey, next time there’s a race, you’ll compete, right?”
“Yeah, sure.” Blaine chuckled. “If you really want me to.”
“Of course I do, you’re the best. And it’s not as fun without you.” Sam insisted. “I want to beat you fair and square.”
“Okay, fine, I’ll make sure I’m in the next race.” Blaine fake-sighed, laughing again when Sam stood up and whooped.
**
“Not fair!” Sam yelled as he slid off his dragon, glaring at Blaine who was giggling on top of Toothless.
“But you won!” Blaine said, jumping off and beaming at Sam.
“You cheated though!” Sam huffed. “You got the black sheep, you would’ve won but noooo, you had to go and cheat.”
“Yeah, but it was fun.” Blaine laughed. “And isn’t that want counts?”
“You’re the worst.” Sam huffed, his anger already fading fast.
“But you love me.” Blaine beamed.
“Shut up.” Sam rolled his eyes, kissing Blaine’s cheek as they walked to the Great Hall for dinner.
Sam paused at the door to his and Blaine’s apartment, listening to the sounds of Blaine trying to frantically shush something that was…barking? It was kind of hard to tell through the door, but that was what it sounded like.
Honestly, Sam wasn’t sure he wanted to know what was going on. But he pulled out his keys and opened the door anyway.
Almost immediately, something tiny was attacking his legs, barking happily and pawing at his jeans.
Blaine was there a moment later, lifting the tiny thing up (and Sam could see now it was a golden retriever puppy) shutting the door before he began apologizing profusely.
“I’m sorry, I just saw this shelter on the way home and they had one of those things where all the pets up for adoption were outside and this little guy was just so adorable and I just had to bring him home I’m so sorry if you don’t want him we could ask around for someone else to take him-”
Sam blinked. “What makes you think I wouldn’t wanna keep the little guy? Or-or girl. Whatever it is.”
Blaine stopped rambling, his grip on the puppy loosening enough so that it wriggled free and began its assault on Sam’s legs again.
“Really?” Blaine asked, practically beaming.
“Yeah, of course.” Sam smiled back, bending over and petting its head. “Did you pick out any names yet?”
Sam looked up just in time to see Blaine blush.
“I-um. Steve? After…y’know, Steve Rogers, cause he’s tiny and sweet now but he’ll be huge in practically no time.”
Sam laughed. “I love it. Well then, Steve, welcome to your new home.”
Steve barked and licked his hand, and Blaine moved closer so that he could kiss Sam, both smiling into it.
*
“Is it possible for someone to teach a puppy how to open a lock?” Sam asked Blaine when he got home a month later.
“Uhh, most likely not?” Blaine said. “Any reason you want to know?”
“…No.” Sam told him, not meeting his eyes.
“Sam.”
“I can’t find Steve anywhere in the apartment and the door was open-but nothing was stolen!- and I’m sure I locked it when I left today.” Sam admitted.
“So you immediately thought Steve unlocked the door and got out.” Blaine said, snorting a little at the pout Sam gave him.
“It might’ve happened!”
“Okay, okay, let’s go look around the building to see if he’s still here somewhere.” Blaine conceded. “We can figure out how he got out later.”
“Fine.” Sam agreed, grabbing Blaine’s hand and leading the way out of their apartment and down the hall.
*
“Oh thank god.” Sam said after he opened the door and Steve attacked him with affection like usual. “I was hoping you found him, cause I was outta luck on my half of the floors.”
Blaine hummed sleepily from where he was sprawled out on the couch. “Two little girls had ‘im. Had t’-” Blaine yawned, “had t’ play with them for a bit b’fore they’d let me have ‘im back.”
Sam bent over to kiss Blaine’s forehead and tried to ruffle his hair a bit. “I’m gonna make dinner for you as a reward then. Do you know if the stove is still broken?”
There was a long pause, and then Blaine started to laugh.
“What?” Sam asked, confused.
“Maintenance came to fix it today. They must’ve-they must’ve left the door open oh my god!” Blaine told him, still laughing.
Sam joined him in laughing, saying, “I’m the one who called them, how did I not remember?”
“And you thought Steve opened it himself!” Blaine teased, once the laughter had died down.
“Look, I stand by my theory that you could possibly teach a dog to open a lock.” Sam said. Blaine rolled his eyes and leaned in for a kiss.
Because my brain at 12:30 am is a lovely place to be and everyone I sent the idea for this to told me to write it.

The day had started normally enough.
At least, as normally as things ever got in Lima, Ohio.
Blaine had been picked up by Sam for Mr. Schue’s wedding, laughing while he blushed when Sam had kissed him on the sidewalk and told him, “You look good. Not as good as me, but still good.”
They had gotten to the chapel and met up with their friends, scattering themselves among the pews and talking excitedly.
But then Kurt and Rachel had arrived at the chapel.
“Hi, guys, good to see you.” he had greeted them, flashing Blaine a smile that turned into a grimace when he saw Sam’s arm around him and how close they were sitting.
“Hey, Kurt.” Sam had nodded.
“Y-yeah, hi.” Blaine had stuttered, blushing because wow, he hadn’t expected Kurt to look that good, and also because oh, no, he was suddenly in the same room as his new boyfriend and his ex who he was still very much in love with.
“So,” Kurt started, sitting in the empty place next to Blaine. “You two are together now?”
“Yeah.” Sam said, “We’ve been going out for a month now.”
“Oh really?” Kurt hummed, making Blaine wish the ground would just open up and swallow him right there and then. “Blaine never said anything in our weekly Skype dates.”
“Oh really?” Sam repeated. Blaine opened his mouth, panicking and trying to think of something, anything to say, only to be interrupted by the sound of the organ starting to play.
Sam’s arm tightened around his shoulders, and at the same time, Kurt’s hand was placed on top of Blaine’s.
Blaine had groaned to himself, wishing the whole thing was already over.
It had only gotten worse from there.
At the reception hall, he had been pulled out onto the dance floor with Sam and their friends from glee for a fast song, but as soon as a slow one started, Kurt had asked him to dance, 'for old time's sake', shooting what Blaine knew was a smug look over his shoulder at a glaring Sam.
And then came the duet that Mr. Schue and Miss Pillsbury had requested Blaine and Kurt do. Kurt had chosen the song, a favorite of his called, 'Just Can't Get Enough'.
Blaine could see Sam glowering at the performance as soon as it started, making it hard to enjoy singing, despite Kurt dancing around the stage in a way Blaine had rarely seen him do, shooting Blaine flirty glances along with the lyrics.
As soon as they got offstage, Blaine had told the two of them that he was reall kind of exausted (leaving out how it was them he was kind of tired of) and took a seat near the refreshment table, Sam sitting down next to him and scooting his chair closer.
"I'm going to get one of those adorable mini cupcakes, do you want any?" Kurt asked, still looking smug. Sam frowned and stood up.
"Well, I'm going to go get some punch, want any Blaine?" he asked, looking at Kurt.
"No, I'm fine." Blaine sighed.
Both Kurt and Sam glared at one another once more before they both stalked off towards the refreshment tables, leaving Blaine on his own for the first time that day. He groaned at that realization, putting his head down on the table and briefly thinking about what would happen if he just left without telling the two.
"Ooh, boy, looks like you're having fun." he heard someone laugh nearby, wincing at the sound of chairs screeching backwards.
Blaine looked up to see Santana and Quinn sitting across from him, drinks in their hands and looking pleased.
"Was that sarcasm?" Blaine asked, feeling exhausted.
Santana smirked. "Duh."
"What are you doing here?" Blaine groaned, putting his head back down. "Please go torment someone else."
"Damn, even when miserable you're polite." Quinn giggled.
"Fine. Just- let us know if you go home with both of them at the end of tonight." Santana smirked.
Blaine's head flew up.
"What?" he squeaked.
"We have a bet going." Quinn explained, grinning. "I think you're just going to go home and ditch them, but Santana seems to think you'll be going home with both of them tonight."
"Hate and jealousy are parts of the best sex." Santana stated, nonchalantly. "And Hummel and Evans there are practically eyefucking each other when they're not trying to get with you. Seriously, it'll be no surprise to see them both agree to have their way with you."
Blaine felt his face start burning, his mind helpfully supplying him with an image of Kurt and Sam hovering over him, both looking disheveled with matching devious grins on their faces.
He didn't even notice Quinn and Santana leaving, both cackling to themselves.
He also didn’t notice Kurt taking the seat to his left.
“I think I need to apologize.” Kurt said, softly, snapping Blaine back to reality, his face flushing even more.
“W-why?” Blaine stuttered.
“For how crazy I’ve been acting today.” Kurt sighed. “I shouldn’t-I shouldn’t be so jealous that the two of you are together. I mean…we’re not together, I can’t-I can’t just show up and expect you to just drop everything for me.”
Blaine blinked, letting everything sink in.
“What-what makes you say that?” he asked.
Kurt bit his lip. “Tina. She-she kinda-she told me off for everything. In a really weird, kinda creepy way but still. And-and I realized that-that I’ve forgiven you, of course, but I’m-I’m still really hurt by what you did. So I’m not ready to be with you again, and everything I’ve done was kind of…dumb and immature. But-but I think-I think I might be getting there. And when-when I am, if you’re-if you’re happy with Sam, I’ll-I’ll leave you two be. But-but only if you’re sure that’s what you want.”
Blaine sat there, speechless, as Kurt smiled at him sadly, and then stood up and kissed his cheek, whispering, “I’ll see you later.” before walking out of the hall.
“What was that about?” Sam asked, walking up and taking the seat Kurt had just left.
“Nothing.” Blaine muttered, suddenly feeling sad. Sam patted his shoulder, rubbing slightly.
“You wanna go home?” Sam asked. “We don’t have to stay if you don’t want to.”
Blaine smiled wryly at him. “Yeah, I think-I think that’ll be best. It’s been a long day.”
“Alright.” Sam grinned, standing and offering his hand to Blaine, who laughed as Sam spun him once he was standing, keeping ahold of his hand as they left.
Sarah and I are rewatching 'Feud' and Sam looks hot with his hat and his outfit and Blaine is attached to the ropes for the number and is there porn written for this because it really should exist if it doesn't
